Activa: The banks ought to have done this before publishing the names.
Why wait till this time before acting especially for the loans that were well-collaterized?
A man is owing you, his business goes bad and he is unable to pay but he has collateral. You now go ahead to publish his name in the papers and still sell the collateral to recover your money.
Owing a bank is not a crime especially when you have the willingness to pay and the amount is covered by your collateral. You understand banking and you are dead right. |
Education › Re: How to Score Almost 100% In Any Multiple Choice Exam by hardbody: 7:37pm On Aug 08, 2015 |
Decallmemartin: Hello everyone, I am a fresh gradguate of Bsc pharmacy and with a wealth of experience in taking multiple choice exams, I wish to share this with u. please spare some time and go through 1. Read the question carefully. Be sure you know exactly what is being asked. Many questions in an exam are missed because the test taker tried to answer a question other than the one being asked. In particular, look for wording such as “All of the following are true about the author’s purpose EXCEPT.” Train yourself to notice any word in the question that is in all capital letters. Such a word will often completely change the meaning of the question. In the example above, if you do not notice the word “EXCEPT,” you will be looking for answers that are true about the author’s purpose. In that question, you want to look for the one answer that is not true about the author’s purpose. 2. Circle or underline key words and phrases in the question. These are words and phrases that help you pick the one correct answer. Think of them as clues. You are the detective and you must examine each question closely for clues to the correct answer. For example, if you have a reading comprehension passage about improvements in bicycle safety and then the question, “The modern bicycle has all the following safety features EXCEPT,” the key words are “modern,”“safety features,” and “except.” After you mark these words and phrases, look in the passage for the safety features of the modern bicycle. Then choose the answer that is not mentioned in the passage as a safety feature of the modern bicycle. 3. Rule out incorrect answers. In the previous example, as you identify safety features of the modern bicycle from the passage, you will mark off each one as a possible choice. Because this is such a helpful technique, you will want to seriously consider setting up your scratch paper with choices 'a' through 'd', or a through 'e', depending on the number of choices in that question. The reason it’s important to actually mark the answer as you eliminate it from your choices is so that you will know it’s not the answer and won’t waste time considering it again. You may be able to eliminate only one or two incorrect answers, but every wrong answer you eliminate increases your chances of picking the correct answer. 4. Watch out for absolutes. Examiners, through years of practice, have gotten very skillful at encouraging test takers to choose the wrong answer when they are not sure of the right one. Fortunately for you, there are several categories of distracter answers that tend to recur in exams. An example of a distracter is an absolute word such as always, never, all, or none included within an answer. While it is possible to find a correct answer that uses such an absolute, if you are unsure, it is wise to avoid an answer that uses one of these words. Thanks for reading this. I hope you find it useful No (at the bolded). I did not find it useful at all. And i have my reason..... I just failed one professional exams, i scored 49, the passmark is 50 and i wrote 120 multiple choice questions using these suggestions. I lost $300 and i will be paying same amount to resit. I am vexing. |

[quote author=musicwriter post=36747522]Use this simple method to find out what he think.
Tell him you're very worried about the way he feel these days. And tell him you know it's because he lost his job. If possible, and if everything you said is true, you can even show him your Nairaland post. After you've done that, then ask him the same question you posted here.
If he tell you to resign, then leave his place as soon as possible, as that would mean he doesn't have the same level of friendship you have for him. No matter what the circumstance may have been, he should be able to understand it's not your fault. [/quot
His friend will remain mute. They are not on talking terms. At best only one person talks and the other person listens or not. If he must talk, let it be from outside. |

powerfulsettingz: Will make this very brief, 3 months ago i joined my friend at his place of work, with his help i was able to be employed there.
It all started with the manager complaining about my friend's work style and always comparing him with me, despite the fact they don't know we are close pals and we live together, this really get me worried he is not so good on computers yet they kept comparing him to me, always saying he's not fast enough, and later after some weeks the boss concluded he's withdrawing the appointment of some workers due to shortage in patronage, to my disbelieve my friend name was among the 14 workers discharged, and ever since then he not been talking to me in the house, he kept mute even when I try talking to him, now I've decided to quit the work at month end, for the sake of peace between us.
Though I have no other means yet but you know that feelings when someone you always talk to just begin to act strange and wouldn't release his anger by speaking just looking since his fired.........
Please what can I do? Should I quit the job as well? I have read several responses and these are mostly insightful and thought provoking. My only addition is that you should leave the guy's house NOW. He may wake up one night and stab you. He may pour you hot water or even acid. He can pay hoodlums to assassinate you. He is not your friend, steer clear from him now or you won't be alive to tell the story. A word of advise. |

Closecall: Following reports of corrupt practices of the Jonathan days, the Presidency stated that the mother of all probes of the Former regime would soon commense. But sources close to the State House, can authoritatively state that certain overpriced projects and expenditure would be looked into, some for review, while others for revaluation and evaluation but others for outright cancellation in National interest. A senior member of the ruling party said over the week of the upcoming Probes but what They failed to mention was that many of Jonathans projects were going because of excessive corruption. The Second Niger Bridge project was started by Jonathan but the way it was awarded did not follow due process, it was exponentially inflated. The opposition ACN cried out then when the project was awarded. By then President Jonathan. It would be recalled that many opposition heavy weights then kicked as they sited the cost and improper procedure in the Second Niger Bridge project compared to similar projects in Africa and even worldwide. So if President Mohammadu Buhari discovers any irregularity or corrupt arrangement He will not fail to Suspend the project temporally to ensure Due process is followed. When you have an opinion, state it as such. Facts are sacred. |

PDPwayoo: sorry bro. for the insult. but Guineans are good in ground fight.
End of the war[edit] Several factors led to the end of the civil war. First, Guinean cross-border bombing raids against villages believed to be bases used by the RUF working in conjunction with Guinean dissidents were very effective in routing the rebels.[91][92] Another factor encouraging a less combative RUF was a new UN resolution that demanded that the government of Liberia expel all RUF members, end their financial support of the RUF, and halt the illicit diamond trade.[93] Finally, the Kamajors, feeling less threatened now that the RUF was disintegrating in the face of a robust opponent, failed to incite violence like they had done in the past. With their backs against the wall and without any international support, the RUF forces signed a new peace treaty within a matter of weeks.
On 18 January 2002, President Kabbah declared the eleven-year-long Sierra Leone Civil War officially over.[94] By most estimates, over 50,000 people had lost their lives during the war.[5][95] Countless more fell victim to the reprehensible and perverse behavior of the combatants. In May 2002 President Kabbah and his party, the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP), won landslide victories in the presidential and legislative elections. Kabbah was re-elected for a five-year term. The RUF's political wing, the Revolutionary United Front Party (RUFP), failed to win a single seat in parliament.

He also has a Masters and Doctorate Degree in Law from Harvard Law School USA, with distinctions.

I worked with him in his law firm at Oyin Jolayemi then as his head of chambers. He also had this low key oil servicing company that was not playing it big time. We always disagreed on quite a number of items and i had no choice than to resign at some point. Perhaps.....just perhaps, if i had remained 'one of his boys', this would have been my time to join mainstream. I had the same experience with Awa U. Kalu (SAN), a one time PA to Akpamgbo. (He later became an AG in Imo State). Argghhhh.....this my stubbornness sef.... But, have i done badly holding my views, I think No. Back to the topic, the guy (Ibe) is brilliant, a genius who thinks on his feet. He MAY go places. I said MAY, and i know what i mean....mark my words, emphasis on 'MAY'...... Kudos to him. |

Nigerian employers rarely give jobs based on merrit, instead they will give the job to the tallest, finest, fairest or whoever posseses the fakest foreign accent. Goodluck to all job seekers though, may God show you favor. This is a defeatist approach. Things have since changed. My last (at least) three jobs were given to me purely on merit. I knew no one and at least on two of those occasions, it was through head-hunting using LinkedIn. Stop discouraging potential job hunters. Perhaps at a much lower level your views may be correct but even then, no sane employer wants a staff that will not impact positively on the fortunes of the company. If beauty and effizzy are chosen as the yardsticks then it is because that company is in a line of business that requires those qualities to excel. |

I personally have no way of confirming how true or otherwise the claims of Nnorom are, but it is salient to enquire into the motive, if any, of suddenly disclosing all these information. Would there be an axe to grind? I think the EFCC should also act fast to ensure that this is laid to rest in a timely manner. Suffice it to say that false and unsubstantiated allegations are criminally and civilly sanctionable. The Jimoh man seems to have some form of negatively sticky identification though. The state and security apparatchik and the Judiciary are better situated to resolve and deal with this. I am not exactly opinionated. |

Hence, those who would hear that word from me are those who would value it. Little did I realize that it was mission impossible. I'm very quick to apologize so long I know my faults.
