Whatever is beyound medicine should be handed over to God, besides most Christian hand somethings over to God with an Atom of doubt and without putting their faith into practice and i am a living example to most of them. My point is most Christians have faith but still doubt if somethings v=can be possible besides you don't expect God to do somethings for you when the solution is right on your palms. it's like having a shoe and expecting God to put in on your feet too

So can God restore an amputated limb?
If a lady seeks a husband it is easy for you and many others to pray for her to get a husband, but when you see cases of amputees no one seems to bother praying for such to be restored. For evidence go and look through the thread where a boys eyes were plucked by ritualists, NOT A SINGLE CHRISTIAN prayed for his eyes to grow back. Why?
You guys know God can't do it? So you only pray for things you know can happen by chance anyway.

Jacob was not predestined to supplant Esau. God simply spoke his fore-knowledge of their lives that the elder shall serve the younger. Fore-knowlege is different from predestination. You are mixing the two. God has fore-knowledge of how our lives will run because he sees the end from the beginning but he doesnt remote control the whole thing. He blesses us with gifts/talents for us to make achievements in life but not that he will control you 100 percent for you to achieve it whether you like it or not. You are the one that will work with what he gave you. He may intervene at some points as the case may be.The devil also interferes. There is a place for his grace in life too i must mention.
It wasnt God that told Jacob to deceive Esau. Jacob and his mum simply chose to play a smart game on Esau. I have not seen where God applauded the game they played but i know that Jacob suffered the consequences of that deceit.
If you have other scriptural background to counter my points pls present. I'm open to such so that i can learn from it too. Learning is a continuous thing for me.

Its your choice. I am not bothered about it because i know that if the future record of your life has it that you will meet what will make you repent at some point in your life, you will then repent but if not, then you will exit this world an atheist (too bad). I ve just done my part and what i ve written here may not be of any help to you but may be of help to some other person that will read it. Thats part of life.

Even before they were born God had already determined Jacob will be master over Esua. It is visible to the blind that you are contradicting yourself and trying to defend God. We have given you lots of examples on how God predestines. I rest my case here. As you keep twisting words to no effect

So what's the point of faith, God's promises and prayers?
I guess deep down we all agree God does not worth the trust in critical situations.

Seriously, I had a similar experience precisely a month ago that I even felt like sharing here here but I think this thread has giv'n me the avenue.
It happened to my Aunt who had a tumour(late tho') that was diagnosed to be carcinogenic(it was discoverd when she went for her regular check up). The doctor said it was good that it was discovered early so it won't metastasize and she would need to be operated. When she informed her husband, he bluntly and outrightly objected it saying as far as he's alive, no member of his family would undergo sugery(he even boasted of how his wife delivered their second baby normally even when the doctor said the only option she had was a CS) that it's convenant the Lord made with him. He said the God he serves has never failed him.
Well, as time went by. The man continued fasting and praying. He even went to the mountains. So also the tumour continued to grow still believein in His Yaweh.
Eventually, it was discovered the tumour was malignant and spread drastically within a month. My aunt gave up the ghost last month based on her husband's strong believe in God. Ooh, did I metion he's also a pastor?
Everyone that heard of it blamed him for being so stupid and jeopardizing the life of his wife.
Now, this is my quetion, as a believer, what exactly did the man do wrong?

Exactly what I am saying. Imagine if it was a wrong diagnoses, the same christian blaming him would praise him for his faith and call it healing.
So why blame the man when all he did was trust God? Lol

I am shocked at the hypocrisy and lack of faith of Christians!

I have discovered beyond doubt that Christians actually don't Believe in God!

A girl had leukemia and the dad refused to follow the doctors recommendation, instead he kept his daughter at home and was believing God's report that his daughter was healed. The daughter died and everyone came for his head. Even Christians said he was a fool.

A fool for what? For believing God?
For trusting God?

A pastor dies and his pastor brother and family starts praying for his resurrection. Christians on nairaland called them fools, said he is dead and can't return. What?! Can't God raise the Dead? Did the dead bones of Elisha not raise a dead man? How much more the name of the Living Jesus Christ! Can't it raise the dead?

A man was bitten by a snake in Idu-Osun, Osun state some 10years ago. He insisted on staying in Church and praying. He died after about 6 hours in the church. I recall how everyone, including me (I was a christian then) called the man a fool. Said he was testing God?
So trusting God has become testing God?

Why do we call people fools for trusting God?
Does it mean we don't believe God can do the miraculous again?

What would be a pastors reaction if a BEHEADED person is brought to his church and he is asked to pray for the dead person to come to life?

Do we truely believe God or just playing along just in case God exists?

Bro everyone is created for a purpose and that is what happened in the case of Jeremiah and Paul. We are all born with gifts and callings. Some people's calling are much bigger than the others as in the case of these two men.
The point I'm making is that not everyone fulfill their purpose in life. Some still make wrong choices. That you are born for a purpose does not mean you will be remote controlled to fulfill it. However,I still recognize the place of grace.

What about the predestination of Jacob and Esua?

Jeremiah 1 verse 5:
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.

Even Jacob was predestined to surplant Esua. How fair was that to Esua?
So I ask, if that's how god does his thinks, what's the point of preaching, or even creating humans? I don't believe in predestination and I don't believe in god either. None adds up

How can predestination be, without people being tagged?, for god sake Paul said he was chosen from his mother's womb, and remember Jeremiah.

If according to the Bible god wishes that all human should receive salvation, why didn't he predestine a phrophet or something to come and give salvation, rather the antichrist was spoken of to even reduce the chances of salvation?

Children born in Atheist homes should also find time to sturdy the various religions and see what good they can get from it.

Building an ark does not prove the bible right. Does not prove all animals over 20million individuals lived in the ark for over 4 months,


does not prove a man and his children built such a large vessel.

Tell us her condition in about 6 months time. By that time the church would be tired of attending to her needs and holding her back from roaming the streets. Mad people roam the streets in Nigeria because they are not cared for. Caring for her does not make her cured.

Absolutely not. As I said before, ordinary people, help mad people all the time. I have seen people take a mad man to the barbing saloon, change their cloths and bath them. Especially if it's a mad person that used to be sane on that same area and people know him/her when he/she was sane. It happens a lot. Yet such people never claim the mad person has been healed.

I have addressed it.
It is the same way people come to church claiming to be healed of cancer and still die of cancer in the end. Problem is we don't follow up these miracle stories. She only got her cloths changed and will be given attention and care which would make it seem she is cured. But down the line once these attention and packaging is unsustained, she would go back to the streets. mad people still have a lot of sanity, don't be fooled, people discuss with "mad" people all the time and they talk sense many times. Some madness is just compulsive disorder, like roaming and gathering things.

Ever wondered why abdullai or what ever his name is, that guy always in suit and red bow tie is back on the street wiping car wind screens again? Even after getting a good job?
I saw him at antony junction ikeja and I wondered why a man will return to such a life.

To take a "mad" woman off the street, clean her up and take her pictures aint difficult. Even none christians do it all the time.

You see good people barb the hair of a mad man and give him new cloths and yet they don't claim the man has been healed of his madness. What people don't know is that not all this mad people are hard to interact with.
Read the story again and you will see that she was not forced to go to the crusade, she was persuaded. So to some level you can always still see some sanity in this mad people.

What they won't tell u is that, they won't be able to keep her from behaving in her "mad" state for long. She would be back on the streets, or they would have to force her to stay hidden so has to keep the impression she is healed.
