bigfrancis21:
Oh ye black man. Brainwashed into believing he is inferior. Echoing racial subjugation cliches purposefully orchestrated to mentally subjugate him as inferior.

Listen, Civilization started from Africa. The earliest human civilization started in Egypt at about 3000BC when the ancient black egyptians gathered together to form a civilization, out of which came the egyptian pyramids (an architectural wonder of sort with to such a wonderful precision which still dazzles modern science of today), mathematics, philosophy, astrology, philosophy etc. Egypt was at its might during ancient times and can be likened to the position of America in the world today. Nationals from Rome, Greece, Persia, paid visits to Egypt to learn from her civilization. The earliest 'white' civilization is traced to the Romans and Greeks who were to surface in world history in 800BC i.e. about 2200 years after the Egyptian civilization. The Romans and Greeks learned from Egyptian temple priests and took their knowledge with them back to Rome and Greece where they wrote their books and equally admitted in their books that they learned from the egyptian priests first hand. Ancient Egyptians were already practising mathematics (the pythagoras theorem with which they used to build the pyramids. The pythagoras theory in mathematics which is wrongly attributed to Pythagoras actually came from the Egyptians for they knew that the longest side of a right angled triangle can be taken from the square root of the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other 2 sides. They had formulas for finding the area of shapes etc). 2000 years later, Egypt was invaded by the romans, their temples destroyed and their books and knowledge carted away. Egypt fell under Roman occupation and became a colony of Rome from about 300BC to 4AD/5AD when the Roman empire fell and Europe was plunged into intellectual darkness.

Thus the Romans lost the knowledge which they had learned from the Egyptians, marking the beginning of the dark ages (also known as the middle ages - a period characterized by stuntness in growth of useful world learning and advancement) until year 711 when the black moors of North Africa who were Muslims invaded Spain through the Strait of Gibraltar and conquered Spain, Portugal and the Southern Part of France, establishing the Islam religion in Iberia (Portugal, Spain, France). The moors took knowledge with them to Europe and brought again learning and civilization to Europe.

The Spanish occupation by the Moors began in 711 AD when an African army, under their leader Tariq ibn-Ziyad, crossed the Strait of Gibraltar from northern Africa and invaded the Iberian peninsula ‘Andalus' (Spain under the Visigoths).

2. A European scholar sympathetic to the Spaniards remembered the conquest in this way:

a. [T]he reins of their (Moors) horses were as fire, their faces black as pitch, their eyes shone like burning candles, their horses were swift as leopards and the riders fiercer than a wolf in a sheepfold at night . . . The noble Goths [the German rulers of Spain to whom Roderick belonged] were broken in an hour, quicker than tongue can tell. Oh luckless Spain! [i]

[i] Quoted in Edward Scobie, The Moors and Portugal's Global Expansion, in Golden Age of the Moor, ed Ivan Van Sertima, US, Transaction Publishers, 1992, p.336

3. The Moors, who ruled Spain for 800 years, introduced new scientific techniques to Europe, such as an astrolabe, a device for measuring the position of the stars and planets. Scientific progress in Astronomy, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Philosophy flourished in Moorish Spain

4. Basil Davidson, one of the most noted historians recognized and declared that there were no lands at that time (the eighth century) "more admired by its neighbours, or more comfortable to live in, than a rich African civilization which took shape in Spain"

5. At its height, Córdova, the heart of Moorish territory in Spain, was the most modern city in Europe. The streets were well-paved, with raised sidewalks for pedestrians. During the night, ten miles of streets were well illuminated by lamps. (This was hundreds of years before there was a paved street in Paris or a street lamp in London.) Cordova had 900 public baths - we are told that a poor Moor would go without bread rather than soap!

6. The Great Mosque of Córdoba (La Mezquita) is still one of the architectural wonders of the world in spite of later Spanish disfigurements. Its low scarlet and gold roof, supported by 1,000 columns of marble, jasper and and porphyry, was lit by thousands of brass and silver lamps which burned perfumed oil.

7. Education was universal in Moorish Spain, available to all, while in Christian Europe ninety-nine percent of the population were illiterate, and even kings could neither read nor write. At that time, Europe had only two universities, the Moors had seventeen great universities! These were located in Almeria, Cordova, Granada, Juen, Malaga, Seville, and Toledo.

8. In the tenth and eleventh centuries, public libraries in Europe were non-existent, while Moorish Spain could boast of more than seventy, of which the one in Cordova housed six hundred thousand manuscripts.

9. Over 4,000 Arabic words and Arabic-derived phrases have been absorbed into the Spanish language. Words beginning with "al," for example, are derived from Arabic. Arabic words such as algebra, alcohol, chemistry, nadir, alkaline, and cipher entered the language. Even words such as checkmate, influenza, typhoon, orange, and cable can be traced back to Arabic origins.

10. The most significant Moorish musician was known as Ziryab (the Blackbird) who arrived in Spain in 822. The Moors introduced earliest versions of several instruments, including the Lute or el oud, the guitar or kithara and the Lyre. Ziryab changed the style of eating by breaking meals into separate courses beginning with soup and ending with desserts.

11. The #Moors introduced paper to Europe and Arabic numerals, which replaced the clumsy Roman system.

12. The Moors introduced many new crops including the orange, lemon, peach, apricot, fig, sugar cane, dates, ginger and pomegranate as well as saffron, sugar cane, cotton, silk and rice which remain some of Spain's main products today.

13. The Moorish rulers lived in sumptuous palaces, while the monarchs of Germany, France, and England dwelt in big barns, with no windows and no chimneys, and with only a hole in the roof for the exit of smoke. One such Moorish palace ‘Alhambra' (literally "the red one"wink in Granada is one of Spain's architectural masterpieces. Alhambra was the seat of Muslim rulers from the 13th century to the end of the 15th century. The Alhambra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

14. It was through Africa that the new knowledge of China, India, and Arabia reached Europe The #Moors brought the Compass from China into Europe.

15. The Moors ruled and occupied Lisbon (named "Lashbuna" by the Moors) and the rest of the country until well into the twelfth century. They were finally defeated and driven out by the forces of King Alfonso Henriques. The scene of this battle was the Castelo de Sao Jorge or the 'Castle of St. George.'

Spain (Europe) and Morocco (Africa) are so close together that you can see both countries from each side of each continent:

https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/attachments/route-planning/5786d1323711356-spain-portugal-morocco-off-road-map2.jpg

You could literally cross over from Morocco into Spain by speed boat in less than 10 minutes.

The Moors brought enormous learning to Spain that over centuries would percolate through the rest of Europe.

The intellectual achievements of the Moors in Spain had a lasting effect; education was universal in Moorish Spain, while in Christian Europe, 99 percent of the population was illiterate, and even kings could neither read nor write. At a time when Europe had only two universities, the Moors had seventeen, located in Almeria, Cordova, Granada, Juen, Malaga, Seville, and Toledo.

In the 10th and 11th centuries, public libraries in Europe were non-existent, while Moorish Spain could boast of more than 70, including one in Cordova that housed hundreds of thousands of manuscripts. Universities in Paris and Oxford were established after visits by scholars to Moorish Spain.

It was this system of education, taken to Europe by the Moors, that seeded the European Renaissance and brought the continent out of the 1,000 years of intellectual and physical gloom of the Middle Ages.

After the end of the Moorish period in Iberia (Europe) came the Renaissance period, marked by the revival of interest and learning in arts and science. Europe grew and expanded ever since.

The Moors ruled for over 800 years in Europe until 1492 when they were finally expelled from Spain by Isabella back to Morocco. By 1800 America (the new world) was coming into world power. The expellation of the moors (blacks) was a great victory for the whites in the history of whites. The period of Moorish presence in Spain began the signification of 'black' as evil (the domination of islam over christianity in spain and consequently 'black', being the colour of the moors, being synonymous with the islam religion), thus giving birth to the earliest racial sentiments against the black people. It is said that before the Moors left they handed over a map of how to get to the Americas. 8 months later in 1492 using the map handed over to him, Columbus set out for his voyage to America (the new world) where he met the Red Indians. Transatlantic slavery of black africans was soon to start immediately, in early 1500s and reaching its peak between 1600 and 1700s and ending in the 1800s.

The dominion of the blacks in spain was something europe was never to have again. Thus began the subjugation of the black african people as 'lower' beings, blotting of the african history and rewriting of history, attribution of earliest human inventions to people of caucasian origin (philosophy attributed to aristotle who mentioned that he learned from the egyptians, pythagoras theorem which the ancient egyptians used in building the pyramids attributed pythagoras a greek man etc), the attempts to 'white-wash' ancient egypt and claim its civilization to be 'white' civilization or non-african or 'aryan' despite overwhelming evidence seen from the mummies of dead pharoahs, egyptian depictions of themselves as a black people, egyptian reference to themselves as 'kemet' (black, khawm, ham), DNA and skin test evidence performed on some of these mummies that revealed sub-saharan ancestry and high melanin pigmentation (blacks have high melanin content in their skin, whites lack melanin. Melanin is responsible for the colouration of the human body) etc that prove the ancient egyptians were a black people.

One of the earliest universities in the world is the University of Timbuktu in Mali but you will never hear of this part of history. It has been totally ignored and sidelined and European universities glorified instead.

The Renaissance period of Europe saw the representation of several African figures as whites. In Christianity, Jesus Christ and His Mother, Mary, who were black were represented as white people. The Pope in Rome, obviously knowing the truth, prays in front of a black mother mary and baby jesus. Beethoven who was described as a 'blackamor' is said to have been represented as 'white'. The 18th century saw the rise and spread of white superiority and black inferiority theories all over Europe and America. Several tactics have been used to ingrain mentally into the black people of some 'inferiority' complex, which unfortunately till today, majority of blacks are still suffering from it. They have been told several times without number that they are 'inferior' and incapable of performing great things that they have come to believe it as true. Infact, some blacks would not even want to attempt greatness or invention because they believe their brains are incapable of doing such.

Till today, blacks are still suffering from this mentality and there has been several calls for blacks to emancipate themselves from mental slavery. You are no longer physically bound by chains but mentally you still think you are. However, some blacks are beginning to awaken to their original self. With knowledge, self-realization is restored, and there comes with it power of the mind and self.

Great article bro, but my question is do the. Moors have to go conquer and develop another country? Why didn't they stay here in Africa and establish their kingdom?? What chased them? I believe in Africa!

I know there's certain breakups that's so hard to get over, and starting over can seems so impossible. Trust me been there, done it, got my revenge. grin and he's still pinning over me till this day. He goes out of his way to attend every function I attend just to see me. He keeps flooding his Facebook about how he will never get over me and stuff. Well mission accomplished. That was the plan, for his lame azzz to regret for the rest of his life. My method? Quite simple, be happy without them, do better without them. In short the best revenge is a better life without them.

below are things you can do to revenge an ex.

1 look good at all time. You never know when you make run into him/her. When you do, you want to leave a lasting pinning.

2 be friends with them on social media, but don't talk to them, don't reply any of their messages or anything, just have them there so they can see you doing well without them. After a while then delete them.

3 move on to someone better. You don't want to downgrade but upgrade. Nothing hurt an ex then seeing you with someone better then them.

4 Focus on yourself, better yourself. You want to take a step forward not backward. Be it school, career, your look, dress sense, And he/she will hear about it.

5 never ever mention them on your social media or post anything relating to an ex. They will think you miss them. Even if you do don't show it.

6 stick to the no contact rule. Don't ever attempt to contact them.

7 finally moved on.

There is no need to insult him and call him names. Your catty comments about him 'carrying a high tech camera to go do investigative journalism' undecided will not help anyone.

He has asked some pertinent questions. Whether or not you want to admit it, Nigerians have a right to be skeptical. You know the things that have happened concerning this whole Boko Haram nonsense. I do not need to repeat them here. Your fellow citizens should not be branded unpatriotic when they ask questions - questions that are sensible and rational.

Some points addressing some of the questions raised by 'genbuhari' grin:

I believe that the language being spoken by some of the soldiers in the video is Hausa - the most widely spoken language in Northern Nigeria. When it is considered that a significant number of Nigerian soldiers are of Northern extraction, then you have the answer to your question right here - it is understandable that they would communicate in Hausa. Of course, the question of whether this is proper is another matter entirely. But remember that Northern Nigerians historically made up the bulk of the rank and file of NA from the time when it was formed, through independence and over the years till now. Maybe the military high command just didn't aggressively enforce the use of english over the years. Who knows?

It may also seem unusual that none of the soldiers takes cover even though gun and artillery fire is all around them. I guess the answer to that question is that it is their (NA) fire (and not enemy fire) that is booming. It appears that NA troops are the ones shelling enemy positions and they are not under any threat of returned fire from Boko Haram combatants.

As for NA troops travelling with 'civilian JTF' fighters - I do not have any easy answers on this one. The civilian JTF has been a useful ally (despite the potential for abuse) to the NA in solving the problem. They provide useful intelligence and help with 'recce' since these are their towns and villages and they know the terrain well. However, I am not sure its best for them to accompany the NA on operations and missions. I even suspect (I am not sure though) that the stand off at the end of the video was between some NA troops and civilian JTF members. The camera phone is knocked out of the recorder's hand towards the end of the video and you can hear raised voices alluding to some violence carried out by some combatants on some other party. Again, I'm not sure - I wasn't there.

Summary: The poster has asked some relevant questions. Answer them instead of branding him a deceiver.

Please before crucifying me, this is my opinion on the matter.
I believe that it was Sex because:
1. It was named the tree of the knowledge of good and evil at thesame time;I think Sex is still the only thing that remains good and evil at thesame time. It is also the only sin committed against one's soul and body (1st cor 6 vs. 18, 1st peter 2 vs 11)
2. Jesus had to come without sexual intercourse and also had none even through marriage to be a perfect sacrifice for our sins and so he was born without sin, neither did he commit any, so he gave us back the life we lost in the garden of eden (1st cor.15 vs.45). Remember God told them they shall die(Gen 2 vs.17) but it is more of a spiritual death than physical
3. God cursed Woman through the pain of childbirth, why not through any other means?(Gen 3 vs 16)
4. The first thing they noticed was their unclothedness, why not any other thing?(Gen 3 vs 6-7)

Overall, the most essential thing is to love God, either its fruit or sex, it does not matter. What matters is doing good and making heaven.
See the way People are turning Bible upside down....I really need to run from this thread!

BaebieHot:
1. Living in Bondage (1992).

Living in Bondage is a 1992 Nigerian drama thriller which tells the story of a man who kills his wife in a ritual sacrifice in order to advance in power and wealth, yet his gains are short-lived, and he is subsequently haunted by her ghost.

The film was directed by Chris Obi Rapu, written by Kenneth Nnebue & Okechukwu Ogunjiofor and produced by Kenneth Nnebue.

2. Glamour Girls (1994).

This movie was described as the most daring and ambitious movie at the time. It was a deviation from the stereotypical themes of rituals, family squabbles; rather the focus was sex, power and fame.

Although certain scenes and characters were criticized for raunchiness and nudity, many praised the bravery of the key actors. The movie was classy and extravagant in every sense as each location or auto-mobile convincingly illustrated a society that indulge in material things.

3. Silent Night (1996).

The movie tells the story of a privileged student in search of excitement who joins a gang of armed robbers, believing that such action will alleviate his boredom. His father is forced to sentence him to death by firing squad.

4. Sango-The Legendary African King (1997).

To send off his troublesome wives, Alaafin Sango is so worked up that he emits fire from his mouth. And when he is to destroy his enemies at the war front, he belches fire. The rhythm of his fury has no limitation.

5. Igodo-The Land of the Living Dead (1999).

A village is in turmoil suffering from a curse laid on it and people are dying randomly. The Igwe calls a meeting of the elders and the witch doctor. One elder has a story to tell: The story of Amadioha. The secrets of the story holds the key to their misfortune.

Selected warriors from the village have to journey into the evil forest on a quest to retrieve the weapon to be used in rescuing the village.

6. Egg of Life (2006).

The movie directed by Andy Amenechi, tells the story of a king (Pete Edochie) whose only son ”Ikemefuna” is an ”ogbanje”.

Ikemefuna makes a promise to his spiritual friends to fall sick all the time and die when he is ripe of age. But when the time came, out of the unimaginable love he has for his mother, he refuses to keep to his promise. Nevertheless, his spiritual friends, stronger than he is, takes his life.

The king is devastated and calls the Chief Priestess (Clarion Chukwura) to unravel the mystery behind his death.

7. Karashika (1996).

Can we all remember the popular chant in this classic movie “karashika! karashika! Queen of Darkness, Lucifer Lucifer King of Demons?”

This movie was directed by Ifeanyi Ikpoenyi, starring Sandra Achums, Becky Okorie, Obi Madurugwu etc. It displays how Satan eats his way into the souls of the living. To recruit new followers for his kingdom of darkness he sends out Karishika, queen of demons, to the world of the living. There she misguides and seduces a number of people, who all fall prey to her because of their own shortcomings. All but the last fall for the temptation of either the fulfilment of their desperate wishes, or money, or sex. The last, a pastor, resists all temptation and is saved from hell through divine intervention in a final showdown between a Pentacostal congregation and Karishika and her helpers.

8. Issakaba (2001).

A group of vigorous men (vigilantes) with supernatural powers are employed to rid the corruption ridden land at all cost.

The men popularly known as the Bakassi Boys (Issakaba is almost Bakassi spelt backwards), are protected by charm to enable them avoid injury from criminals’ bullet and to detect innocence or guilt through the magic use of their machetes.

9. Blood Money (1997).

The movie reveals the connection between the ostentatious wealth of those in power and the exploitation and death of the poor and powerless. Human bodies, shorn of their human-ness, are needed to vomit or give birth to wealth.

The cult leader, referred to as “Lord Spiritual” by his subordinate ritualists, tells the newest member Mike that their cult, called The Vultures, operates like a bank. “They take a little risk and make plenty of money.” Mike can join the cult only after “passing through” the body of a vulture for three days.
