There are opportunities for all. Yes core sciences are much preferred because of skill shortages but even at that, you can find ample ways to pump up your scores even with your background.
Akeenade is right.equal opportunity for all. just that the highlighted disciplines are in acute shortage therefore they need foreign nationals to come fill in those gaps via skilled migration that will lead to PR.

To me it is somehow less cumbersome as I have seen so far but I noticed that one need plenty of information so that he/she don't make mistake. As par the application it is straight forward.

I am not exaggerating neither claiming point that am not qualify for ! And be cautious of your words it is not professional. what i stated is not exaggerating ,it is what saw and read from a friends EOI and sharing more light to have better understanding of the program does warrant such word
Oh!!! I am sorry for offending you.No harm intended.Pardon me ok

Thanks hartson.

I appreciate your point on G2 and l've input it properly .My work experience is an area of absolute skills shortage as you stated and from what learn from my colleague is that i should not claim any point or bonus from LTSSL since my qualification level is 6 not 7 .

Requirements to claim points for skilled employment (Category A)

Bachelor of Business Studies (Business Information Systems) (NZQF Level 7) - Bachelor of Commerce (Computer Science) or (Information Management) or (Information Systems) or (Information Systems - IT Solutions)

A relevant recognised qualification which is at, or above, the qualification level on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework. The qualification must correspond to the skill level indicated for that occupation in the Australian New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO)
OR
The relevant work experience that the ANZSCO indicates may substitute the required qualification
OR
The relevant requirements specified in the Long Term Skill Shortage List (LTSSL) for your occupation (if your occupation is included in the LTSSL)
OR
Five years of relevant work experience.

Related visa: Skilled Migrant Category

In this section we recognise the importance of skills and experience gained through your previous employment that:

are readily transferable; and
will enable you to get skilled employment in New Zealand; and
will help you to contribute to New Zealand socially and economically.

Please provide the following details about the recognised work experience for which you are claiming points. For more information, see the Help for this page, or read Sections SM11, SM12 and SM13 of the Skilled Migrant Category Instructions.

Please note: If you do not have current skilled employment in New Zealand or an offer of skilled employment in New Zealand or if your work experience is not in an area of absolute skills shortage, you can only qualify for points for your work experience if it is recognised, and was gained legally in a labour market that is comparable to New Zealand.

My question now is should i submit the EOI with the 140 points without claiming any point under LTSSL?
The above is self explanatory.it is clear so why exaggerating to get a point when the qualification you have is not stated for the occupation you want to claim the point.

Sure you can go ahead and submit your EOI since your score in each section gave you overall sum of 140 points.with or without claiming any point under LTSSL does not make your ineligible in as much as you hit the 140 and above point.

that is not true. .
In most European countries like italy, France and spain, their homes are built with cement. ....I think Americans likes doing their stuff different from others.
Take sport for example. ..football as we all know it, is played by foot but usa is played by chasing after the ball by both hands

oh! sorry,I found out you mentioned ICT Business Analyst some days back.Your noc is listed as ICT Business Analyst (261111) in STSSL
your qualification is HND so the qualification specified that will get points is Bachelor degree in any of the listed discipline which is Level 7 in New Zealand Qualifcation Frame(NZQF) Not only that one must also meet these requirements in order to claim points as stated in column 3 & 4
1.A Washington Accord or a Sydney Accord accredited undergraduate/ initial engineering degree or
2.A qualification at NZQF Level 7 or higher, with a letter from IPENZ certifying that the degree and any further learning meet the benchmark requirements towards Chartered Professional Engineer professional status in New Zealand or
3.NZ registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer or as an Engineering Technologist by the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand

and a minimum of three years' relevant post -qualification work experience.

You may ignore the above mention if you is not relevant to the your query.

@hartson
Kindly see the attached below .When i submit my EOI my NZQA is level 6 ,i applied under skilled migrant scine my NZQA level is not Level 7 on column 3&4 and i did not claim any bonus point on long term skill list .but total point is 140 but my friend who introduce me to New zealand skill immigrant ! his points been deducted and return back into pool. we are both Business Analyst.Kindly share more light on dis ........
Please refer to the revised edition of Long Term Skill Shortage List, effective from 11 April 2016 link below

http://skillshortages.immigration.govt.nz/assets/uploads/long-term-skill-shortage-list-2016-04-11-.pdf

Procurement Manager (133612) is the only job position listed under Finance/Business that qualifies for points if one meets the qualification requirements listed under column 3 and 4 of the long term skill shortage list

From the dialog box you pasted,G2 should have been None of the above because your recognised work experience is not in New Zealand.

G3 is correct provided you have captured the maximum number of work experince in G1.always round up the years to the nearest month
G4 you will qualify for points for indefined future growth area only if you are already working in any of those areas in NZ basically you are suppose to be in NZ on current skilled or offer of skilled employment in an indentified future growth area.
G5 is where you ought to claim points if your NOC is listed in an area of absolute skills shortage but you must meet the qualification requirement of the job position as laid out in column 3 and 4 of the long term skill shortage list then you name the occupation below

I hope is clarified now

New Zealand Skills Immigrants program is so confusing.
1. why CO will be deducting point when it stated in their requirement e.g level 6 point - 50 points (ICT business analsyt) withHND in Business Administration with IT certifications (Oracle dba,Sap hana,Itil v3 ) over 13 years working experinence.
having skills nominated under absolute skill shortage . CO stated that i can not claim points in long term skill shortage refering to column 3& 4.
Your ascertion is quite confusing also.I read your statement over and over again until I was able to understand what you are talking about.

Have you started the main EOI Skilled Migration app or you are still trying to use the free online assessment to find out your eligiblity.
1.The exact point that will be awarded base on your qualification will be when you have done the educational pre-assessment ie PAR but if you are still assessing your eligibility using the free online platform and award yourself level 6 for 50 points it will not reflect the same when you eventually do the qualification pre-assessment.
if my explanation is not clear then summarise your first question let be elaborate more on it

2.you will get bonus point awarded to you if your skill is among the list of absolute skill shortage if not they will not award you any bonus point then if the skill is among the long term skill shortage a bonus point will also be given but from my own observation so far,the occupations in both list are always different
I don't think you will claim points for both.they classified the occupations in short term and long term bases.so your occupation can't be in short term as well as long term skill shortage.i will clarify you more if you wish

I checked it out in their website and I need to have a job offer and write an exam in Canada. It is not encouraging. How does the Canadian start up program work? Is it okay to develop a business plan for a mobile App that can help students in classes and work? I have the business plan. Please, how do you see the Canadian start up program?
I don't really know much about the canadian start up program.I still believe that you must be resident in canada for such to work.It will cost huge financial resources trying to get through that channel especially when one is outside of the country. To me,is likely not possible. The only way I know foreign nationals migrate is via the EE process or get admitted into a canadian school.thats all I can suggest

Hello great people. You guys are doing great jobs here. My question is: Is there no Canadian visa program for people who have vocational skills like barbing?
The Federal skill trade visa class is for skilled trade applicants but it seems you must be in Canada practicing your trade before you can I apply in that category.I guess your skill fall under NOC C or D therefore you can't apply via EE or CEC class.
