yomifowe: Hello everyone. Just thinking aloud, has anyone gotten job offers in Canada. If yes, which province pls. This is because i just finish appplying or jobs in my NOC.
Pls reply o..eyin guru in the house. Is quite difficult to get employment outside of Canada.Only a fraction of top notch professionals get some kind of arranged job offers outside Canada.Experts with vast experience in their respective field often get this offers. So in your case I don't know whether you fall within this category. |

kolinsteroy: Hi guys, I plan to create an EOI profile soon for Manitoba PNP for foreign workers. I'm trying to gather as much info as possible so it can be a one-time hit for me. However, I'm a little confused about something. I work as a mobile packet core network engineer in telecoms vendor. This means my job description falls under NOC code 2147 (Computer Engineers except software). Job requirements on CIC website states that it requires provincial licensing. I want to find out if (i) I can state this NOC code in my EOI and work towards licensing when i get to canada, Hopefully or (ii) I should state a lower cadre JOB NOC code that does not require licensing or (iii) Is there a way I can get licensing for NOC2147 from here and include in the EOI? I will appreciate your response. Thanks a lot. Hi,one main thing about licensing is the time it takes to be concluded with it's cost. I suggest you go for low cadre NOC like Computer Network Technician which is not regulated when you finally migrate you can start the licensing process over there with ease. |

zeux: Listening and writing. I know I did well in listening. Was expecting 7.5 or 8. But in the absence of remarking, can I proceed with this score? All which province or territory should I select in applying? Thanks you. You're disappointed about the outcome of your performance so many others may have felt the same.It will add to your agony the more if your score didn't fare better than what it was before.Imagine what you would have spent ie 52k+15k totalling 67k not to add the stress involve. My dear I suggest you save and channel the money for remark to something more profitable. Provinces like Sask or Manitoba will be a good starting point for PNP though you need to make 60/100 for eligibility. |

Waleabimbola: I am applying for Manitoba Nominee Program(OVERSEA SKILLED WORKER) and I am abit confuse about their Clb Calculation.. Please I will like to know what my CLB or Laguage point will be when submitting Expression of Interest.
LISTENING....5.5 READING. .....5.5 WRITING. ......6.5 SPEAKING.....70 OVERALL......6.0
Do I use CLB 7 to calculate my point or I have to calculate each Band according to what I score above
What is my language point please. Thanks I don't know the min CLB required for each band in the case of Manitoba PNP but the 5.5 in L & R is short of expectation as regards the min language CLB required for language ability in general. CLB 7 is 4 points,CLB 8 is 5 points and CLB 9 is 6 points anything less than CLB 7 is 0.Having said so other senior house members may equally throw more light for clarification |

Teechawa: A friend has HND in Business admin and plans to move to Canada or USA with husband and son. Husband has HND too. Kindly advise how to go about it. Thanks in advance. Hi friend, from my experience so far, tell your friend that migrating to Canada is like walking in a long stretch tunnel with light at it's far end.it is not an impossible adventure to embark on tho but he must be ready to take with him perseverance,determination,courage,optimism,patience/endurance,faith,hope and above all God's divine providence plus his will because his word says irrespective of whatever our plans may be His will must stand above our own will. The originator of this thread did an incredible work to put up the steps and links to achieving this task right there on the first page. What he/she should do is to take out time and go through all the information on that first page thereafter he/she can ask questions in respect of where he/she did not understand. so many people here started from there and are following up well.Goodevening |

40manlappy: Good evening irondome, dupyshoo, zandora, JesusDWay, Slimmsyyetty, Tola73, Etfash, beyunce, hartson, princey83, Gymme, other gurus
We recently applied for Manitoba PNP having received Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) from the Province.
Few days ago, we both received a mail from New Brunswick inviting us to attend their Information Session in Dubai in respect of their PNP. A friend actually encouraged us to register for the event before we got LAA from Manitoba.
My question is this: considering the financial implications of attending the session in the UAE, do you think it is really worth it to attend when we have already applied for the Manitoba PNP?
NB:Spouse is the primary applicant but we both applied for the New Brunswick Information Session. Whatz up?is being a while.Sorry for replying this late.I guess you have already submitted your LAA for Manitoba before the NB Info Session came up and to further spread your tentacles you applied for the NBIS too.My opinion is to attend if you can afford it since the ultimate target is to get ITA via PNP irrespective of which province but do your research very well, compare the 2 provinces for better opportunities before you hop into emirate flight to Dubai sometimes it is better to do a thorough due diligence before concluding on matters as critical as this.I received the invitation for 20th as well but I declined the invitation on personal reasons.Thank you |

Relocating the children for a while might not be a bad idea afterall. Maybe their exposure to a bit of the societal values might just serve to correct their view on the short run. bet me,the op will be more confused by the polarised views. |

Nwaonyeocha: I need a voice on this issue - How easy is it for someone to use a different job knowledge to apply for Skilled Worker Visa and latter change his or her profession when in NZ? Huh!!! you can choose to hop from one job to another after undergoing few months basic training or learn a trade when in NZ, the big issue is to get the SMC visa first with whatever job knowlegde you have. Except you are in regulated profession that requires licence to operate. Somebody that read marketing with few years marketing experience went to US did 3 months certificate course in computer programming then another 3 months advance computer programming today he is a top notch IT guru.so there are no limitations one you are there except you are licenced. |

Nwaonyeocha: Something is funny about Nigerians and travelling. If a country is not in hot demand, they will never go for its Visa. However, travelling to some countries are the lee ways of having access to the big ones. Some 10 years ago Canada and Australia was not popular today the reverse is the case. I see NZ getting tougher soonest. heheheh. You know Nigerians, let few persons qoute that they have gotten ITA then see how people will invade this thread. |

Jetspeed: Did the self assessment and got 125points.
Seems English Test (ielts) is not mandatory. This is a big plus Good you got 125 in the self assessment but sometimes the score you had in the self assessment reduces when you begin to fill the main EOI online app. The good thing about NZ EOI is that IELTS Academic or General Training 6.5 or more for PA and 5.5 for spouse is acceptable. is not that it is not compulsory,it is more likely to enhance your chances as evidence of english ability than providing english knowledge testimonial. They stated that whatever you may provide as proof of language ability, they will still demand for IELTS result you earn no point for language ability. |
