ddu: Visa Office High Commission of Canada P.O.Box 1639, 42, Independence Avenue Accra, Ghana. I disagree with you on this bro.Reference letters can't be addressed to the above address except you want it thrown into the trash can.is it not better the complainant get the correct address of RCIC which is totally responsible for EE applications intake since the employer don't want to address it appropriately.beside reference letters are not meant to be addressed to anybody except in very difficult situation as above. |

justicia: Hello House. Pls does WES send tracking no. when u pay for courier. I paid WES to send my certificate to OOU for vefification by courier since the initial one they sent by regular mail didn't get there. i have gotten an email that says they have sent it but am guessn I should be able to track it.I guess, the tracking number would have been indicated on the email you received that your transcript has being mailed to your school.
2nd Question: Pls is IELTS result for July 30 exams out? I have not gotten any email to that effect. if it is out, pls where can I check.IELTS Admin does not send separate email to candidates for checking of results. They often say the date to look out for the result immediately after test.so it should be out by now I guess.if it has been released, check here (https://ielts.britishcouncil.org/CheckResults.aspx)
@Arcayo, my status has changed back to awaiting verification from institution so I guess they didn't get any verification from OOU yet. |

It's not a sane place to live especially if ur kids were born in Europe.
If u really want to do it, then u go home for 6months, dat will help ur decision making. All the advise here will leave the OP more confused. Hey,but your case is not the same with the OP na.You came in with your kids to spend the holidays and go back,is itn't?

I read it here and i was wondering if this still holds and how it can affect. I think this applies to landed migrants.Take note, successfull applicants are not issued PR immediately.A successful applicant could be given 2years work visa leading to final issuance of PR later on.Therefore, I deduce that,to be eligible for PR while working you are expected to be earning a certain amount of income per annum.I don't think the income requirement is necessarily for EOI application.just my view anyway |

For a nigerian, if we are earning close to that sef some of us wont look for greener pastures.very correct
Please if you know someone that has gone through this process kindly help my shedding more light on this Do you mean have successfully gotten ITA and evetually migrated?None yet from this thread |

mrkayodeoludare: Hartson, what about future growth area? Creative industries is in that category. I should think masscom should fit in there. Just like me with Performing Arts/Film. Plz help check it out and clarify. I saw on the self assessment grid bonus points for occupations and qualifications that fall under future growth area. T hak you Kayode.I have not gone through the list but I doubt if that course will be eligible for FGA occupations.creative industries should fit courses like the one you mentioned above i.e performing arts/film,editing,script writing, auditioning, fine and applied art, video editing anything that relates to film production, exhibition etc.Just my opinion |

He has been working as a Teacher for like 6 years now. Hi,Segbas, your occupation isn't listed on the Long term skill shortage or the immediate skill shortage.I suggest you look for offer of employment but the issue is ITA considerations are often base on occupations listed in the LTSSL and ISSL.I read somewhere that your occupation must be among the occupations that are in shortage in NZ.so figure out another option if you can lets see.cheers |

Hello honourable members of parliament I greet you all
Please I'd like to know what amount is the ideal POF for 2 persons.I can't establish an exact value as different online forex platform keep giving me different amount.used oanda.com,it gave me an amount less than 3.5m.not satisfy I used XE.com it gave me something above 3.5m then I guessed rates between N250,N260,N280 per canadian dollar my calculator displayed a syntax error .To be honest people I could not say what figure was displayed as the zeros were too many on the screen display.I understand very well that instability of our naira could be the major culprit .is 3.5m not enough POF for 2 people?

1. Have experience on how to provide a proof of relationship to a canadian sponsor (my direct cousin) when the sponsors father (my uncle) is late?
2. Regarding the circumstance in 1, NPC is unable to provide an attestation for a Nigerian who is late. All that was made available is the NPC death certificate.
3. Does anyone know where in the birth and death compulsory registration act this situation is treated?
Appreciate your kind feedback Can't comprehend your last question.Anyway why not approach a legal practioner to assist on what to do and where to find the appropriate registry. |

Just to be clear, for POF held in fixed/term deposits, how long must one have held it to be eligible? To be honest with you I don't know maybe irondome, dupyshoo, superchi,ANBAKO may have a clue. |

40manlappy: Thanks for further insight.
@bolded: IMO, it may be used as a supporting but not as the primary POF. At least, the applicant can access the fund after 4 months of being unemployed in Nigeria. That is exactly what I pointed out.It can never be the primary evidence for POF rather could likely be used to support SOA,Term/Time Deposits whatever.
I think it is high time Nigerians who have relocated abroad permanently and who are contributors to the pension fund set up a lobby group to make a case for an amendment to the Pension Reform Act (as amended) that would allow people in their category to access 100% of their RSA since they are no resident in Nigeria.I think we should start the enlightenment campaign here lol
The current regulation did not seem to take into consideration Nigerians in diaspora. Nice opinion. Cheers |

irondome: Can you provide an IRCC link for this (RSA as type of documents that can be used as POF) Sorry I was actually reffering to the POF listed on the SINP Application guide under settlement fund/plan Only the following funds will be accepted:checking accounts, savings accounts, GICs, Mutual Funds, Registered Retirement Saving Plan(RRSPs), TFSAs, term deposits and time deposits |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by hartson: 7:41pm On Jul 31, 2016 |
Cecegal: Hi Hartson, I very much stand to be corrected but no PFA will give you a letter stating that,it's purely unethical as someone has said and could cost whoever signed that letter their job of found out seeing that such letter isnt truthful and misguiding.Immigration lawyer or not.
I worked with a PFA and can categorically tell you that the only funds you have access to if you are below 50 for private sector and 60 for public sector is the 25%hardship withdrawal which comes to play 4 months after you resign or loose your job.
Except of course you are also doing the AVC (Additional voluntary contribution)This is assessible anytime.
Personally won't encourage anyone to go the PFA way when it comes to POF aside your AVC it's an encumbered fund and you will have no immediate assess to it.
You might want to find out from your friend if he had an AVC running, wondering why any HOD would take such great risk for him if he didn't.
Tooh that's my 2cent advice to all on Pension funds ad POF.
quote author=hartson post=48022228] Honestly he was indeed very lucky.Actually it wasn't on this EE regime he got his PR.It was the FSWP before EE launch I don't speculate what I don't know about.Your assertion about access to 25% of the money 4 months after leaving job is quite correct and RCIC know that very well, but then don't underestimate the power of an immigration attorney remember I said my friend engaged the service of an attorney who I guess might have backed up my friends SOA,RSA claims with legal papers just my guess tho.
When the authorities want to verify your claims they don't go writing or calling the entire PFA or employer for instance they contact the HOD whose contact details you gave them on the reference letter for verification purpose.such scenario could have played out in my friend's case maybe the PPC director who prepared the letter for him was contacted and he simply affirm it
What works for one person may not work for another person just like you highlighted that your were refused by your pension custodian.
it worked for Anbako maybe his confirmation will make those in doubt believe.
Evidence of RSA/Pension fund alone can never and will never be a primary and satisfactory way of showing POF.
Thank you Hello Cecegal. Your input is quite insightful.I believe every damn thing you wrote. I don't know how it was possible for him.He didn't explain beyond what he told me as I try to unravel more information.friends could be funny atimes. Thanks very plenty. |
