1. Ramon Olorunwa Abass– better known as Hushpuppi, was arrested by Dubai Police on June 10, 2020. The 38-year-old was referred to the Dubai public prosecution and he had arrived in the United States recently to face criminal charges alleging he conspired to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from business email compromise (BEC) frauds and other scams.

2. Lola Margaret (born Lola Margaret Oladipupo) is a Nigerian actress, film producer, and director. She was interrogated in 2017 by the police in Atlanta, Georgia. She is said to be linked to money laundering. She was reportedly arrested after a huge sum of money was wired into her account and the collection method failed. She has since been released and deported back to Nigeria considering the gravity of her actions.

3. Babalola Falemi(Sauce Kid) aka SINZU is a Nigerian rapper. In 2017 he was arrested and bagged a 2-year jail sentence for stealing $15,388 using stolen credit card numbers in Boise and Meridian. He has since been released after 2 years behind bars.

4. Obinwanne Okeke, Invictus Group CEO, who is popularly known as Invictus Obi, was arrested for conspiracy to commit fraud of over $12million at the Dulles International Airport while leaving the United States in August 2019.

The Metropolitan Correctional Center, Chicago is a United States federal prison in Chicago, Illinois. The facility holds both male and female prisoners of all security levels prior to and during court proceedings in the Northern District of Illinois, as well as inmates serving short sentences.

Since hushpuppi's extradition to the United States of America last week, he has been putting up in this facility pending when he is moved to another facility in Los Angeles where he will be tried.

The 37-year-old is alleged to have conspired to launder hundreds of millions of dollars through business email compromise frauds and other scams, the US Department of Justice said.

The facility holds 567 inmates in total and is located in Northern Illinois in the Cook County of Chicago. Architect, Harry Weese designed the Chicago Metropolitan Correctional Center which was completed in 1975.
The building has a triangle shape. The reason for that according to the designer is, “The triangular plan provides the most perimeter for the space. We needed perimeter so each room could have an outside window.”

It was also conceived to cut out the need for long wasteful corridors. The rooms are placed on the outer edges of the building to leave the inner core of each unit free to be used as a lounge and dining area.

Each unit of the prison is bi-level, with an open two-story lounge area in the middle. The stairs and elevators are located in the building’s three corners.

The Presidential probe panel investigating the corruption allegations levelled against the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu has started probing the relationship between Magu and a Bureau De Change based in Kaduna.

Sources close to the panel told Saturday Vanguard, that the EFCC boss who was suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, is expected to respond to the discovery by the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), that he allegedly has connection with the said Bureau De Change.

Magu is also expected to explain what he knew about huge sums of money discovered by the NFIU, from a relatively unknown Lagos based Pastor who was said to be his associate.

Besides, the NFIU was said to have also discovered another N28 million taken from the same Bureau De Change by a well known Lagos based lawyer.

The source said, "From the issues before the committee, there are two big issues concerning Bureau De Change being allegedly linked to Magu in Kaduna and that Bureau De Change has been discovered by the NFIU to have transacted business of N336 billion, $435 million and about 14 million Euros in the region. There was another allegation against Magu that a relatively unknown Pastor in Lagos who was linked with Magu was discovered to have N573 million in his account. Also, there was a famous lawyer in Lagos, who took N28 million from the Bureau De Change."

Meanwhile, some unknown people allegedly broke into the new office of the NFIU and destroyed computers containing certain vital and sensitive documents that could help in the investigation of the suspended EFCC boss.

How to create an android app for Free using Appyet
1. Go to www.appyet.com
2. Click on 'Get start now'
3. Click on "sign up"
4. You will be redirected to another page. In this page, there are four fields there which are Email, password, verify password,First name and last name. Make sure you fill everything with the appropriate information required and click on signup. This will now create an account for you at appyet.
5. After clicking on signup, it will now redirect you to the work area where you will now start designing the app.
6. Italian tourist Francesca Conte said on arrival that she was worried up until the last minute that her flight would be cancelled.

“When I saw passengers queueing at the gate, I thought today we are not leaving, since the trip to Dubai had already been skipped three times,” Conte said.

Personal Protective Equipment, more classrooms, supervisors and invigilators will be required to conduct the 2020 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination for school candidates, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Mr Patrick Areghan, the Head of National Office (HNO) of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), who made the disclosure on Tuesday at a news conference in Lagos, also warned that inadequate preparation would not be an excuse for examination malpractice.

Areghan said that the examination which will hold from August 3 to September 5, would be conducted from Monday to Saturday.

He added that candidates would sit two meters apart from one another.

We reported that the examination was initially scheduled to take place from April 6 to June 5, but had to be postponed due to the pandemic.

"We are here to acquaint you all with our preparations and readiness for the conduct of the much-awaited WASSCE for school candidates, 2020.

"This examination, which will now hold between August 3 and September 5, covering a space of five weeks, will have candidates sitting two meters apart.

The Google account of Ramon Abbas, better known as Hushpuppi, was one of the factors that made it easy for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to track him, according to documents seen by TheCable.

Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai in June but later extradited to the US following a series of Fraudulent activities traced to him.

The instagram celebrity has been charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering before a US court.

In a document signed by Andrew Innocenti, a special agent of the FBI, three people - Abbas, co-conspirator 1 and co-conspirator 2 - were accused of participating in fraudulent schemes involving hundreds of millions of dollars.

According to the FBI, an analysis of the iPhone and online account belonging to co-conspirator 1 showed that messages were exchanged with Hushpuppi, requesting accounts into which funds realised from the money laundering schemes could be sent to.

"Based on records from Instagram received in June 2020, the Instagram account was subscribed with the name "RAY," the email address, rayhushpuppi@gmail.com, and the verified phone number +971502818689 ("Phone Number 2"," the document read.

"The Instagram account was created on October 10, 2012, and recent account history from 2020 showed logins from Internet Protocol ("IP" addresses located in the U.A.E. (ABBAS lives in the U.A.E., based on information from his email and social media accounts, financial records, and internet research).

"Based on subscriber records from Snap Inc., the Snapchat account "Hushpuppi5" used the phone number +971565505984 ("Phone Number 3" and the email address rayhushpuppi@gmail.com (i.e., the same email as the Instagram account).

Jeff Bezos's fortune has soared to $171.6billion, breaking his previous wealth record prior to his divorce.

The billionaire's net worth broke its previous peak on Wednesday as Amazon's stock surged 4.4 percent to a record $2,878 value per share, boosting his fortune.

Bezos, who is the richest man in the world, saw his fortune rise even after he relinquished a quarter of his stake in Amazon as a part of his divorce settlement with ex-wife Mackenzie Bezos last year. She has become the world's second-richest woman.
