Good evening everyone, apologies if this question has recently been answered.

My situation: I got SINP expression of interest June this year, I submitted application in July, it's been over three months. Application status still remain “Aplication Received”.

Anyone with helpful information please ?

OP, please tell your friend the truth in the calmest way possible. Tell him the result of an oral HIV test can only be confirmed with a blood work and offer to accompany him to the hospital. Let him know HIV is not as dangerous as it used to be about 10/15 years ago. People living with HIV hardly develop aids these days. In fact, the HIV drugs have now been compacted into a single tablet to be taken just once a day and that's all. At a point, his viral load will be undetectable. This means he'll no longer be able to transmit it to others. He can still birth a child and live as long as hiv negative people. All these are possible if and only if he gets his status on time and starts his treatment immediately. Hopefully, he has an insurance to help with the cost of the drugs.

These days, the mental breakdown that comes with being diagnosed with HIV kills faster than the virus itself. Unfortunately, Nigeria doesn't have enough facilities to support them mentally, and people are too mean over there. So it falls on his friends and family to reassure him that this isn't the end of the word.

Started this journey in 2019 Covid happened and then had to write another Ielts with wifey. Cos the other ones expired. My wife got tired of it all and suggested masters. We started masters online in a uk university cos we couldn’t travel and the school gave an option of doing it online or deferring. We choosed to do it online. After second semester and Covid eased off, we made enquiry and they said we ain’t qualify for the 2yrs post work visa because we did it online. By this time, we wrote another Ielts as the other expired. So I had to pay for another Masters in the Uk while we were doing our dissertation making it 2nd uk master for my wife by the time we finished last year we updated our Wes because now we had masters. Our Score was now 486 we were just in the pool because cutoff was 500 and we left naija for the uk for madam 2nd masters and I as the dependant. Fast forward to March this year we got ITA. Did medicals in April and we have been waiting since. Did biometrics in June and today by the Glory of God we got PPR. This race will teach you patience my brethren. The Lord that did us will do for y’all IJN. God did it

Now we don’t know if to discontinue the masters or do soft landing. We so excited and for the newcomers please read from the first page. I became a consultant (lol) because everything we did and learned, was from this platform. Thank you all and God bless you. See y’all at the top

UK is similar to USA. My cousin age 27 recently moved to the UK about 6 months ago, he's very happy and not complaining about his factory job.

I paid cash for my university education and built a house in Nigeria before I graduated university. As a fast food cook I lived better than bankers or doctors in Nigeria with 10 years experience. That's fact.

I really don't know where you guys get this notion that people abroad can't or don't save money. There's reliable published stats from IMF, Western Union etc detailing the billions of dollars in remittances sent to Nigeria by the diaspora. What other evidence do you need that Nigerians abroad save money from their earnings? We feed the people of Nigeria, build houses for them, send cars and put them through university and all we get in return is scorn rooted in jealousy.



Rubbish...Nigeria where an accident victim has to pay CASH before being treated in a hospital? Where is the care? But of course they will attend the funeral to eat rice & stew.

In Nigeria can you call police if an armed robber breaks into your home and expect a response? I told the story how my wife's car was stolen about 2 months ago. She called police, they mobilized and found her car the next day, luckily undamaged. It's unlikely to happen in Nigeria.

Community...we have a community here in the USA and it's even stronger in the UK because Nigerians have deeper roots there. See this one....invited to party? My family belongs to a Nigerian Church with over 300 members right here in Raleigh NC. There are hometown and tribal clubs like Egbe Omo Oduduwa and Igbo Union and Akwa Ibom Union, they have members. They socialize and look after each other.

I have American friends of every kind of background. In fact after my disastrous return from Nigeria, it was my American friends who helped me get on my feet. I lived with a Black American friend for 6 months without paying a dime in rent. When I went back to reapply for my job, I was afraid they wouldn't take me. I expressed that to my boss, a woman from the Phillipines. This is EXACTLY what she said to me, verbatim

"Ibe, you have friends here. Why would you think that we won't re-employ you?" I was ashamed of myself that day. I remembered Nigeria where my relatives defrauded me of my money and property, employees stole from me, government officials were demanding bribe every left and right to let me do business.

So what on earth are you on about?

Nigerians are a special people. For real.

Yes, I have . if you enter the country legally. You will have access to medical facilities., unlike in Nigeria that even the HMO will not help matters. A very good hospital in Nigeria, you pay through your nose. Ordinary Oxygen that are available for patient in abroad, is gold in Nigeria's Hospital. Maybe it was a long time you visit the general hospital. Go and see what is happening there, no space for patients , if you managed to get, maybe you no someone at the top.

What can I do in this situation?

I'm about to open an EE profile, however I'm married with a child but only traditionally. How do I answer the Marital Status question? If I answer yes there's no certificate to back it up but if I say no won't that be misrepresentation as we're actually married, living together with a child.

We plan to do our civil wedding early next year as I'm currently nursing.

Who has been in this situation before?

you were on 67/100 before and the birthday took it to 66. Your ielts is probably not higher enough too. Rewrite and aim for higher scores . You are probably using only a bsc you can get an additional diploma.
