Kenyan media personality, Black Cinderella, has reacted to a video of fast-rising Nigerian singer, Portable turning down a hookup proposal from a lady at an outdoor spot in Kenya.

Portable in a video which found its way to the web was heard telling a lady who approached him, “we are not here for hookup. You can go, go with your big ny@sh“. Read here.

Reacting to the video, Black Cinderella in a lengthy Instagram post lambasted the Nigerian music star. She insisted that the video is an insult to Kenyan women, regardless of what the lady had approached him for.

Mr John Adewuni, a Yoruba actor, popularly known as Tafa Oloyede, is dead.



The Osun State-born actor died on Tuesday after a brief illness.

He started acting in 1974 and featured in many movies including ‘Jaiyesimi’, ‘Ayanmo’, ‘Ekuro Oloja’, and ‘Akanji Oniposi’.

SaharaReporters learnt that the actor died at his residence at Arowomole, in the Kajola area of Osogbo.

He is survived by wife and children.

The Secretary of Kupoluyi Royal Family aka Almaroof, Prince Abdulwasiu Almaroof, has declared Lagos Council Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo) is qualified to be a monarch in Oshodi.

This is contrary to the statement credited to Chairman, Oshodi-Tapa Chieftaincy Family, Maroof-deen Oshodi, that Akinsanya has no right to the throne because he was not a member of the family.

At a briefing with other members of the royal house in Oshodi, Prince Almaroof said Akinsanya’s grandmother was Alhaja Shadia Almroof.

He (Akinsanya) is from the Kupoluyi Royal Family and that is not contestable. The family held a meeting recently and picked him (Akinsanya) as our candidate for the Oshodi monarch. We expect other ruling houses to also announce their candidates. From those candidates, a monarch would eventually emerge,” he said.

Almaroof said Oshodi has two ruling houses – Ajenifuja and Kupoluyi, gazetted and recognised by the government.

“So far, in Oshodi, we have had eleven Baales but out of these Baales, only two were recognised by the state government. They are from the Ajenifuja and Kupoluyi families. This made the Kupoluyi family a prominent ruling house in Oshodi,“ he said.

He added that the Supreme Court ruling confirmed Arota Ologun as among the ruling houses in Oshodi.

“The first prominent kingmaker in Oshodi who happens to be my grandfather, Pa Salaudeen Almoroof Ewa, is also from the Kupoluyi ruling house. This makes our family entitled to the stool. Akinsanya is a bonafide member of Kupoluyi family. The family of Pa Salaudeen Almoroof known as Arota Ologun comprises 13 branches, one of the children is Alhaja Sadia Almaroof who gave birth to MC Oluomo’s father,” he stated.

Kabza De Small narrates the emergence of Amapiano genre while on Oskido’s YouTube show named Joy Ride.

Kabza who is famously known as the King of Amapiano is highly respected as one of the pioneer of the genre which is currently making waves in SA and across her border.

A service of songs for veteran actress, Late Rachel Oniga, was held at the Service of Songs at the Catholic Church of Resurrection, Magodo, Lagos state on Thursday, 26th of August.

Billionaire businessman, Obi Cubana has taken to social media to show off his elder brothers as he reveals he’s the last son of his family.

Sharing the adorable family picture which showed him with his two older brothers he noted that his parents gave birth to 5 children, 3 sons and 2 daughters, and he’s the 4th child and last son.

Obi identified the first son as Sir Nnamdi Chu Iyiegbu and his immediate elder brother as Ike Iyiegbu.

In her conversation with Boma, monitored by our correspondent, Arin revealed that she had to make money early because of her pride.

Arin also told Boma about her travelling adventures, stating that she single handedly bought her ticket to travel abroad at age 16.

“The first time I ever paid for my own ticket, I was 16. I have big pride. If I wanna ask my mum for something, maybe I’ll not ask nicely.

“She’ll not give me because I’m not asking nicely. And I don’t wanna ask nicely cause I don’t want to be fake.”

Reacting to her claim, Boma said, “You are trying. You started making millions at 19, as a teenager.”

In response, Arin attributed her wealth to her interest in fashion, as she said, “fashion saved my life.”

When asked how many countries she has traveled to, Arin said, “In Europe, I’ve gone to Amsterdam, France, Italy, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Scotland, and of course America.”

Big Brother Naija housemate, White Money has revealed that he stayed under the bridge with the chairman of touts in Ojuelegba, Surulere, between 2014 and 2015.

The 29-year-old businessman made this revelation while speaking with the other housemates about the effect “nature and nurture” has on the overall behavior of a child.

During the interactive section, the housemates shared their opinion about the topic and argued that a person’s morals and values plays a major role in determining their overall behavior, not nature or nurture.

1. The Fartlek

In Swedish, the word fartlek means “speed play”. It is a continuous long-distance run that alternates between fast running with periods of slower running. Some people also mix jogging and sprinting or walking or jogging in this kind of training. There is no specific routine that you need to follow in this running training. You can mix and match as per your liking and convenience. You can jog for 100 meters minutes then sprint or walk, whatever you like.

2. Downward ladder

The downward ladder is more difficult than the first one. In this, you have to start with running at a moderate pace for a mile, followed by light jogging for 2 minutes then running at a high pace for half a mile. Again jog for a minute followed by running at a high pace for another half mile. This training session requires you to challenge your body. It tests your limits and also your lung capacity. It isn’t for those just beginning their workout journey.

​3. One-for-one training

Just like fartlek, one-for-one training also alternates between fast and slow running sessions. The only difference is that the timing is fixed. You have to run for a minute and then walk for another one minute, then repeat. This is a much easier workout and can be performed by anyone. The best thing is that you get enough time to rest and catch your breath.

4. Long run

If you do not find much time on weekdays to run, try long-running sessions. This training session improves your overall endurance and boosts your confidence. In this, you can run at a moderate pace and cover as much distance as you can. You can try different kinds of terrains, increase your pace and also cover more distance with time.

5. Hill training

As the name suggests, in this training session you have to run up and down the hill. Choose an inclined surface, then run uphill. Once you reach the top, jog to come down. This training session increases your heart at the same time helps to strengthen your muscles and joints. Just make sure that your form is correct and do not push yourself too hard.
