i think this is for landed applicants

Yes. I don't think you can convert if you are not yet a PR.

Please what’s the procedure for requesting a remark? My result was online today (LRSW 9,7.5,8,7), although it was stated that the result is provisional and may be different when I get the actual report document. I’m not happy about my reading hence the need for a remark to earn an extra 3 points

Think deeply before requesting for a remark on reading. Score for reading is not subjective except for any obvious error by the examiner.

Hello house. Congratulations to all POE clinchers. I just got my result today and I had LRWS 8.5, 6.5, 7, 8. I am so confused about this reading result.
Please has anyone done remark for reading and does it change. Thanks so I can know what to do.

Except for any obvious and unlikely error by the examiner, the score might not change. Listening and Reading are like asking what is 2+2. the answer will always be four in mathematics.

THANKS

I want to believe that the process is same for other provinces. Which province are you or you intend to reside?

Hello everyone,

Please has anyone here used a statement of account from premium pensions? The customer service lady I spoke to just said they cannot include any letter explaining that I have access to 25% of the funds 6 months after retirement. Will the statement alone suffice?

Which pension custodian is that? ARM gave a well detailed letter including the 25% access after 4 months of unemployment.

ICAN/CIMA is not a MRA as such , it's just the same thing as ICAN/ACCA, WITH Cima ,you write only one paper, with ACCA you write 4 papers

CPA's conditions for ACCA and CIMA differ. With 4 papers in ACCA, you are good to go with CPA conversion.

This ICAN/CIMA MRA that currently exists whereby you are exempted from all papers and only get to write 1 paper WILL NOT qualify you for the CPA MRA. They have this part that says you can’t apply for conversion if you obtained the qualification via MRA.
But if you were a CIMA student (No MRAs anywhere) and you wrote some exams and we’re exempted from others or wrote all exams, then you can benefit.
Best option is to send the regulatory body of your intended province a mail

Thank you.

Yes

Thanks for your response. I asked the question because are of the opinion that if you do sir for ALL CIMA papers, you cannot apply for CPA designation. In other words, that getting exemptions and writing just one paper will not qualify one for CPA.

Who has gone through this process Please?

Not a lot of provinces will let you convert without showing that you have landed in Canada. It’s only BC and Ontario that I know can let you convert from home.
For Alberta, you must have landed cuz you need to send them either your pr card or signed copr before they send you membership form. Doesn’t matter if you are ACCA or CIMA or any other MRA

Clarification Please? If you write some of CIMA exams and exempted from others, will you be able to apply CPA?

Express Entry Tie-break procedure explained

1. They have maximum number of invites to be given per draw. For instance, this current draw is 3,350

2. The minimum score given invite is 450.

3. If for instance there are quite a number of persons that have score of 450, which pushed the total number of 'qualified persons' to say 3,400, the tie breaker rule will apply.

4. The tie breaker means that if more than one candidate has the lowest score (450), those that created their profile first on or before a specified date (this time November 5, 2018) will be given ITA. Others that scored 450 (though meet the minimum score) will not be given ITA because they submitted their profile later than November 5, 2018.

Please guys i have been preparing for this IELTS EXAM, how realistic it is to get the golden mark 8, 7, 7, 7.

Far from impossibility. Prepare well, understand and apply the strategies. It will amaze you how your performance will be better than 8777. Resources from tutors Jay and Liz on YouTube can aid your preparation.

Key: The fear of Failure won't make you sit for the exam.

Hi good people. Please I have few questions to ask as intend to now go on this journey. I'll appreciate your advice
1. I speak French language so for the crs do I have to write ielts and TEF?
2. If I don't have write TEF how would it be known that I speak French (as an advantage in the pool)
3. based on the above information, whigh province would you advice? Ottawa, Quebec or just Alberta. This is important to me cos albeit I'd like a French environment, I'm also concerned about cost of living et al cos I'll be going alone with a child.
Thanks in advance

Even if you speak French fluently, it will not give you any advantage in the pool if you do not sit for the test.

This is for those within the range of 440-449.

With an IELTS score of L8.5 W7 R7 S8 and 15 points from my brother in Canada, my CRS score stood at 448. I was hoping that minimum score would drop as low as 448. But after a couple of draws, i opined that it all seem like 450+ is the famous number for now. When the April 3, 2019 draw was done (451), i immediately concluded that my wife should sit for IELTS....though i never wanted to stress her...even the 68k was another factor. I registered for her MOD April 6 test (JUST 2 DAYS TO PREPARE). With just a couple of youtube videos, she did her best in preparing for the more or less impromptu test. She did the test. My expectation was very low but Just to push the score to 450+.

The result was released earlier today and she scored L6.5 W7 S7.5 R7.5. I was stunned because of the circumstance that surrounded the decision to sit for the test.

Now the crs score has increased from 448 to 466. ITA imminent God willing.

Point:
1. Weigh all the options available for you to boost your crs and take action.
2. Grace works! The race is not to the swift.

I think you should abort mission if your plan is to obtain CPA using the CIMA. You should check the requirement for obtaining CPA with CIMA designation, or better, send an email to CPA to clarify.

True. I don't think writing one paper in CIMA will earn you a CPA conversion. Kindly seek for clarification from CPA.

[qquote author=Amaragold post=77661315]I m preparing for my IELTS general exam,is it necessary for my husband to write the exam also?,I am the principal applicant, thanks.
Your husband writing all depends on your performance in the test and your overall CRS score. Remember that yours is very important as the principal applicant.
