Donpely: The man who built the TitanicSo you mean god killed close to 1400people(if not more, christians inclusive) just because someone said 'Not even God can sink it' ...and later, you people would be the first to claim that your imaginary god is the definition of love ![]() |
CrazyMan: Nope...Seriously... You've never heard of Sarcasm Or are you also trying to be sarcastic ![]() |
Atheist:-D:Haha... That is part of the numerous techniques they use in ensuring that kids stay brainwashed |
Atheist:-D:Exactly.. Even children don't believe this poo.. If you go to a sunday school for children, you'll see them asking lots of similar questions. But their sunday school teachers shut them up in a manner similar to this npage01: Be careful in your utterances. The way of God is never the way of man. Dnt analyse devine issues mortally. Be warned. |
seeking@truth:Good questions; add these to the list 1)Why did god put that tree in the middle of the garden, imagine putting a gun at the centre of a toddler's room 2)God is supposed to know everything(including the future).. Why didn't god see that coming?(Why get angry when you know exactly what is going to happen even before creation) 3)Why did we all get punished for adams sin, why not wipe out the failed creation and start afresh? 4)Why did the snake get punished?(Wasn't it the devil that posessed the snake or Does it also mean that animals also have 'free-will' Who do we blame for the myth of the fall of man |
Kamsy10: D lady i pity u big time is d day something great comes ur way and u dont know who to thank: d stars,d moon,d trees. Thats usually d day people like u are most confusedIs it by force to have somebody to thank ![]() |

1. Your conversion story We were catholics at first, later became RCCG members. Gave my life to christ at a tender age(out of fear of hell) but back then, I loved it cause I seemed to like the gosple stories and gosple music, and I had a new friend(now I know it was an imaginary friend) 2. Experiences in the church/mosque I never did like going to church, but my mom always forced us to go every sunday and atleast once during the week even after coming back from a long day in school, it always made me .. But I'll always comfort myself that "I was doing it for god"3. Duration as believer 7yrs of lies and fear 4. When and why you began to lose faith. It all started one day(during one of my long vacs in secondary school), I was home alone dying of boredom, so I decided to pray fervently for 'NEPA' to bring light, after about 2hrs of continious prayer with no result(light), I gave my self the usual excuse that maybe god didn't want to answer my prayer to prevent impending danger, so I decided to pick up my bible and read, I started with Genesis, Exodus, read a little bit of them and moved on to Leviticus, after reading some parts of this book, I began to see a contradiction to the new testament all loving god, he seemed to kill for virtually no reason at all, gave the isrealites absolutely ridiculous laws, at a point I had to close the bible, because my mind had started to ask different questions and I've been brainwashed to never question god or the bible. But my curiosity seemed to be stronger than the brainwashing, so the next day, I forced myself to read other books of the bible and saw a lot of contradictions to the god I previously thought I knew(no wonder they don't read those books in the church instead they say its the mosiac laws, but they'll readily quote leveticus when it comes to tithing).. During this period I was also intrested in science stuff, always went to to school lib to read science books, this books also helped to increase my curiosity, tho I always skipped pages on evolution and condemed darwin and his theory as agents of the devil. 5. Your deconversion story. It took me almost 3years of information gathering, constant study and questioning of the bible to re-program my mind. upon all I prayed for the curiosity to dissappear, It had already gotten to a stage, where I couldn't stop my mind from thinking about my faith, I finally became agnostic atheist 2 years ago. They told me I couldn't make it without jesus, prayer, or religion. But today, all that is a big fat lie thank 'god' I'm totally free from and immune to the bondage called christianity ![]() Big thanks to every thing that increased my view of life including all the science books, websites like narialand(cause I've been viewing as a guest before I finally registered in 2008,) all the science stations including discovery, history, nat geographic for programmes like 'Mankind: the story of all of us' and others... Most especially google for the usefullness of the search engine. ![]() |
@2good... I too studied engineering @ unilag ... But till date, I've never seen anyone like me.. Even in my work place... They're all just brainwashed zombies(xtain and muslim alike). |
^^^ Still don't get your point |

tobechi20: No doubt, science has a lot of contradiction.@ bolded.... How does a bomb blast contradict the law of thermodynamics ![]() |
Epic Coments on this thread from the atheists/agnostics are part of the reasons why I visit this relegion section often ![]() Gives me a break from the mor.ons that abound in the real world ![]() @topic; you can ignore us all you want, but we'll always interupt you guys(religious people) from spreading your lies, asumptions, fairytales and stup.dity to the unsuspecting nairaland member/guest. ![]() |
sun_temi: Heatblast, since you had your iPad 2 jailbroken on iOS 5.1.1, there's possibility your 5.1.1 shsh is saved.I tried redsnow too, but it couldn't regonise my ipad even when on dfu mode... |
dmcdad: Did you save the SHSH blob for 5.1.1? If you did, you can restore using 5.1.1 and be able to jailbreak. But if you didn't, then you will have to update to 6.0.1 which is without a jailbreak for now...I tried using tiny umbrella, after hours upon hours of googling to fix problems (like tiny umbrella refusing to open and unable to start tss server) I finally got the tss server runing on TU... I then proceeded to do the shift restore on itunes, it was able to bypass the verification stage, now its giving me a new error (2005) |
Guys.. Pls help me out, I recently crashed my ipad 2(ios5.1.1 jailbroken), I tried putting it into safe mode but no luck, I was left with the only option to restore, I downloaded my ipsw file from the felibruns site, I den tried to shift restore my ipad 2 os5.1.1, now its giving me itunes error 3194... I've google everything possible, and I still can't come up with a solution..... Does anybody have a solution to my problem? |
Wow... Asin.... WOW |
Lmao @ the replies @op, if your pastor should ask you for 1million naira now, you'll run up and down looking for it, just to give a poor man(mad man in this case) you old used and worn out cloth now has spiritual attachment *smh |
sun_temi: Try this. Power off the iPad, turn it on again and hold the volume up button while booting up. You should end up in safe mode, open Cydia and uninstall the theme that caused the problem. It didn't work instead it came back to the normal circle loading screen, is there any other thing I could do.... Thnks tho |
Miss Debisi: I am not a fan of Fuji Music but the lyrics of this song caught my attention, the musician kept repeating,"Ta lo pa Jesu", that is, "Who killed Jesus Christ?" I do not know the motive for this. maybe the musician though but if I were to be the president of this country, I'd have all the CDs confiscated and have the musician thrown into prison for life; that is after I must have banned him from making music ever! But alas! The barber and his friends were listening to the music with glee and were even singing along. If you can do this, then what makes you different from boko haram ![]() |
I've got an ipad 2 ios5.1.1 jailbroken... I recently downloaded a theme and resprung the device now it's on constant boot screen(shows apple logo and later booting loop). Is there any way to put it back in safe mode so I can delete what I downloaded last. I don't wanna restore it(my internet isn't fast and I don't wanna go to cv) can you guys help me out |
obadiah777: AND WHO SAID I WAS A CHRISTIAN ?Oh... Sorry, my bad, I was thinking you were one ![]() |
obadiah777: SEVERAL FACTORSLife is too sweet ... I thought xtians are made to believe that the after life is by far sweeter?@topic, I won't say because we are hardwired to fear death.. I'll rather put it like this "we are hardwired to survive by all means" Mother natures instinct for suvival is really hard to overcome, it'll take a lot of brain washing (eg in the case of suscide bombers) to overcome such instinct. |
Why always him? ![]() |
Oahray: Hehehehe... Is the 'soccer juju' made specifically for Nigerians to slow down our progress? |
abdul23: @Op,u er so on point but it will b hard 2 believe.its quite complicated.Yes.. The white man forced us to watch soccer so that we would remain stupid ... Its also their fault that we voted in bad leaders. Watching sport (Soccer in particular) is the major cause of Nigeria's problems.. Now I get the op ![]() |
julius2825: cluelessOh, so you and the op are on the same page ![]() Some Nigerians are in desperate need of physiatric evaluation |
What a load of BS You better strive to fight coruption in this your country instead of blaming sport and spiritual nonsense |
obadiah777: THE STORY OF THE TOWER OF BABEL IS SYMBOLIC. THE TOWER THAT WAS GOING TO BE BUILT TO HEAVEN WAS NIMROD THE KING. HE WANTED THE WHOLE WORLD TO WORSHIP HIM IN A ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. HE IS THE TOWER THAT IS GOING TO BE BUILT TO HEAVEN MEANING THE WHOLE WORLD WILL LOOK UP TO HIM AND WORSHIP HIM AS GOD. THIS WAY THE PEOPLE WHEREVER THEY ARE IN THE WORLD WILL BE IN UNISON UNDER ONE RULER ( LEST WE BE SCATTERED WE STILL HAVE A COMMON FOCAL POINT ) *confused* |
dekung: Neil Armstrong and co have gone to the moon, that's some 250,000km from earth and nothing happened. I honestly do not think the account in the Tower of Babel ever happenedExactly |
...and later, you people would be the first to claim that your imaginary god is the definition of love
