It is said that the descendants of Noah all spoke a single language. As they increased in number and began to spread eastward, they found a fertile area called Shinar and settled there. They decided to build a city with a tower that "reached to the heavens." They wanted the tower to be a proud monument to themselves and a symbol that would keep them united as a powerful people.

However, god was not so pleased. He came down and looked at the city and tower and said,

So god made the people speak many different languages so they could not work together on building the city and tower. Then he scattered the people around the world and the city was abandoned. The city was called "Babel" because God confused their languages.

1)Do christians really think that ancient man was able to build such a tower that touched the clouds? (The world's tallest man-made structure is the 829.8 m (2,722 ft) tall Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was such a tower taller than this and Why hasn't god destroyed it(burj) yet
2)Aeroplanes fly at 50000+ft even spaceshuttles and satelites are 300km from the ground, why doesn't god destroy them?
3)Do people really believe that this is where all languages on earth came from?
These questions are for the christians who interprete the bible literaly

I don't think the heat inside the store could have exceeded 40°c(even the hottest day in lagos barely reaches 33°c). To start a fire cracker, you need an ignition source in excess of 400°c(a match stick for example).. Something else probably an electric spark or the shop owner was cooking inside the shop or anything that could cause a fire was the culprit, and not ordinary room temperature

Fire crackers don't spontaneously combust. You must always need a source of ignition eg lighter, once ignited, of course starting a fire would be easy(its an explosive)

If a christian would come with another bible verse on why they should pray out loud, I won't be suprised cause the bible is full of contradictions

Tho I'm not a christian, this was a question that bothered me when I was. When I was little(in a pentecostal church), my sunday school teacher would was always insisting that she must hear us pray out loud(it suposedly made demons scared of us and made god hear our prayers faster)... They would also use this "a shut mouth is a shut destiny" to threaten us.

But to my suprise this verse contradicted their teachings
Mat 6:6: But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Today, you'll see so many xtians screaming and shouting all in the name of personal prayer

Even the so called praying in tounges is a contradiction to this verse

Divisions, Divisions, Divisions!... Aren't you humans sick of it

Mother nature has already made laws prohibiting us from marrying people of a certain blood type, and we humans add our own laws to discourage people from marrying others of different religion.

As if that were not enough, some christians are discouraged to marry from other christian denominations(eg catholics and pentecostals). shia muslims are also discouraged to marry sunni muslims.

And its not like divorce rate is higher for people who marry from different religious background. Humans just keep giving reasons to divide themselves and its pitiful

my point: if you find someone you love and you are pretty sure such person loves you back, do not hesitate to marry such a person irrespective of his/her religious background. Only mother natures laws should seperate you(except you don't want to have kids)

It is better to marry someone from a different religion that loves you than to marry someone from the same religion who isn't intrested in you

And since we have hundreds of species of apes, why do we have only one specie of human being(Homo sapien) with different races. Did all Apes (with hundred of species) evolve into your ancestors (with only one specie, Homo sapien). Also since your ancestors were Apes, why is it that we still have some apes playing right now in almost all the rain forest in the world that are in day time zone.

My advice: google up biological evolution and stuffs like that and educate yourself(at your free time). Read with an open mind.

MAJORITY of christians go to church because of the fear of hell, if hell was removed from the equation, christianity won't be a major religion today(no matter how beautiful heaven is). Infact, the fear of hell is the begining of wisdom for a christian...

Morover its the fear of hell that is preventing christians from thinking about simple logical questions that could expose a loophole in the creation story(e.g where did the nodites come from)

Simply put: removing the hell doctring would multiply the number of atheist/agnostics by a factor of 10-100
