The Nigerian citizenry has serious trust issues with the government hence the back and forth about taxation.

And a career criminal with possibly the worst corruption credentials like bat is hardly the right person to implement such a tax regime. It is ridiculous to even contemplate such because it assaults the sensibilities of Nigerians, knowing that the crook called bat CERTAINLY has dubious motives.

Nigeria has a bigger government accountability problem than it has a revenue problem. So this rush to implement an oyinbo tax system on Nigerians without first giving us oyinbo accountability (never mind oyinbo benefits) shows that the criminal is driven by purely corrupt motives. We will never allow that.

The impunity and anyhowness in Nigeria is so overwhelming and irritating.

Such a discredited character who as recently as a few months ago disrupted a flight with his unruly behaviour, almost causing deadly harm to himself and to passengers - all caught on camera! In a reasonable society, that alone has cancelled and disqualified him by default, even if he was the rightful next in line for the throne.

But alas, in Nigeria, the 'I can do anything and nothing will happen' impunity culture must rear its ugly head.

It is better to to try and escape right there on the road, because you even have a better chance of surviving than to sheepishly follow these animals (sometimes walking as long as 5 to 6 hours) into the thick forest, in the middle of nowhere. We are not talking about "security". We are talking about policemen. Let the celebrities pay for private security. Senators represent an arm of government, whether you like them or not.

Senators should have police protection. They should be exempted.
