Toktee: Can you pls rephrase and post again, this time try to include reasons why you can not suggest ways thru which the president can remove maduekwe, oduah, ngozi etc and your inability to suggest ways to deal with the 500b subsidity scam pls.i dont need to suggest ways to remove oduah and those women you are obsessed with because there is no constitutional impediment to their removal. All these things boil down to disrespect for the office of the president. You feel you the president must remove somebody based on the suggestion of the opposition and onze the president dont oblige you, you start shouting. For your information, a minister is removed based on the discretion of the president not nbased on suggestions by sahara reporters. She is working for president and i dont need to suggest how to remove them |
Toktee: You guys from the south are to myopic to see from the other side of the coin.sanusi's offences that may warrant his suspension ? ....so misleading international investors that that the amount bigger than budget is missing is not enough an offence to warrant suspension. You guys are blinded by your emotions. For your information, i dont care wether jonathan is from the south or west. I amb from the southwest so i should naturally hate jonathan and support apc but, nope! This is about the institution and office of the president. When sanusi decided to introduce sharia banking without recourse to national assembly to change the banking act, is that not an offence? In govt, it is so easy to commit an offence except if the president decides to look away |
manny4life: There is really no way around it unless GEJ wants to exert his executive authority, kinda like how former Pres Bush did several times, act without Congressional approval, with no rule of law. If that were the case, he would force him out SLS from the CBN, after all the yelling and shouting, it will breeze like air. There's NOTHING SLS and his foot soldiers will do, but you know, GEJ is a man of wisdom, a gentleman who respects the law and applies order, so such a thing would not happen.there is no gentleman in politics. Respect the rule of law...yes! Just dont break the rule. What rule will he bé breaking by suspending him? Recall that the senate president cant sack a senator. You will need the constituency to recall him but he can suspend the sanator till infinity. Dimeji bankole did it to melaye and co and nothing happened. Look...this is politics. It is not about desperation. Somebody is deliberately sabotaging your govt and claims to bé part of that govt yet you are playing a gentleman game. The governors dont fear jonathan again cos they know he cant protect them. In the days of OBJ, you dare not say rubbish. Look....was fani kayode and el rufai not part of those people that attempted to illegaly push out ATIKU out of office despite being elected? They barred him from FEC meeting. These are the new progressives we now have in APC that will shout blue murder should Sanusi get booted out. Jonathan had better wake up and deal with issues with the right force required |
The office of the president must bé respected!!! And president jonathan is appearing too timid for that office. Onze the president becomes a toothless bulldog in a presidential system bé it military or democratic then the system will soon crumble. To me, if only to prove a point, the president must deplore adequate presidential power to unseat sanusi within the shortest period of time. Sanusi sacked some CEOs without recourse to the the court and dared the consequences. Why is it difficult for jonathan to do the same to sanusi without the senate? To me, the following strategies can bé used by the president to disgrace sanusi from that office without commiting an impeachable offence...... 1) he can ask sanusi to go on compulsory leave with immediate effect and hand over to his deputy during the leave period. There is no law that says the president cant ask any public official to go on leave. Leave doesnt mean you are sacked. You can proceed on leave indefinately on request by your employer. His salary will still bé paid while on leave and the leave will terminate ist july. 2) he can suspend sanusi for gross incompetence. Suspension doesnt mean sack. Jonathan can suspend sanusi for mismanaging the economy. The office of the CBN governor requires accuracy. You cant claim 49 billion was missing only for you to later admit that only 10billion remain unreconciled...not even missing. Sanusi sent a lot of negative signals to the international community and were naira traded on international forex exchange, that singular statement would bring down the naira to the lowest ebb in a millenium. So that serious incompetence and for that office, that cant bé tolerated. 3) jonathan can send EFCC after him. All they need to do is to accuse him and arrest him. Then jonathan can ask him to step aside pending the resolution of the crisis so that they wont obstruct justice. Even the house of REP suspended farouk lawal when EFcC accused him. When the court absolve sanusi of any wrongdoing maybe in 2050 then he can come back and finish his tenure. There are several grounds to arrest sanusi...he donated public funds to boko haram victim etc. Just look for an accusation and arrest him. Of course the opposition will shout...they always do that anyway but they will respect the president. It is better to bé feared as a president and bé called a tyrant than to bé a weakling that every idiot can spit upon. Jonathan... Wake up! YOU CAN ADD YOUR OWN SUGGESTION ON HOW JONATHAN can sack sanusi without breaking the law. |
@Op, i av to control my emotions not to insult you. You mean that if my wife cheats on me, the court should still collect my properties and hand it over to the promiscous wife so she can go and spend it on her new boyfriend. I will commit murder and face the music b4 that will happen. Why must you copy every stupid culture you see abroad? Have u forgotten that nigeria has a large muslim population and did Quaran not give muslims the right to marry 4 wives...so how will the husband split the spoil after divource? Always think before u adopt any stupid oyinbo culture |
So happy for u chief!!! Concentrate more on the client than on the thread. U dont need to update the the thread everyday. U dont even need to answer every question. Do everything in your power to satisfy the client and the work, rather than the lecture u give on nairaland will broadcast your ability. Let me bé honest with you...ninety percent of the followers on this thread are now waiting for you to make a silly mistake again and if you give them the chance to rubbish you again, too bad. Left to me, i am not comfortable that you are putting up this project in public view so soon. I would rather you finished the project and then update in retrospect. Nevertheless, i wish you best of luck... |
@fani kayode, good response so far. However, as a nigerian youth, I don't buy the sentiment of APC...apc is only trying to hijack power by all means possible and it will create very deep disaffection between the various ethnic divide in nigeria. Apc is a lazy party...not interested in building a party but in assembling failed politicians from apc. I remember how you connived with el rufai to push out atiku undemocratically from the FEC meeting during the crisis with obasanjo...and all of u are now back in the same political fold saying you are all progrssives. If jonathan should join APC today, tinubu will gladly lead party members to aso rock and say to hell with buhari. Such a party can't last even if u win the election. Once u win the election, nothing will change. Tell me one single individual in your party that can make a change and has never been part of PDP before? None? So what's different from what we had before? Tambuwal is unstable...from anpp to pdp to apc ...he has no ideology. Buhari can't rule nigeria except as a military man. He will cause serious divide. So for you to assume that the whole of south west will follow APC cos king tinubu say so is a serious political miscalculation that may backfire |
emmadejust: thank God things are working out Fine, based on our roofing colour...pale green, what colour combination do you think we can use to paint the exterior from a professional point of view. The two front pillars, window hood, main building etc |

kopell: @helpee good job my brother. Small world, that was the same Brach of tower aluminumwhaoh!!! Such is life but the company is still waxing strong sha...or so it seems |
emmadejust: Lol............ your litle knowledge u got in building thru tis thread is helpin u in cuttin cost, lol. Na the society wey we find ourselves my brother. Nobody is trustworthy nowadays. Unless u are a politician, if u leave everything out as a contract, u may not be able to finish your building project in years. By the special grace of God, we bought this property early this year with ten million naira and so far we have spent over 5million on it and if not for close supervision, we won't be able to do that. It will interest you to know that we have been building with our daily income so we must be prudent. Our target is to finish by march next year...we started may this year. I must confess that it is not easy but God is faithful sha |
One thing I discovered is that some of these aluminium fabricators can be deceptive. You pay them for tower, they will buy few tower and mix it with imported and unless u are very diligent, u won't know. So, we are fabricating 33 windows. I got the quotations for the various materials needed to fabricate the windows from different fabricators so I took the quotation to tower aluminium @dopemu today. The fabricators agreed that they will come to fabricate the windows on my site and fix it there while I buy all the materials. We agree tentatively on 35K as workmanship. I will keep the house updated on how I intend to fabricate those windows myself using the best materials with minimal cost |
lawyer: @brabusgood step but you need to make this a general rule. Let all builders on nairaland submit their certificates for verification by moderators before seeking for job as a professional. Not just brabus but all of them...spyder, muyesky, segcy etc. |
Shows how literate you are. While I am not a linguist, u still need to read those things you put in bracket again. If I say I follow brabus thread, it is a continous tense so I am still following him so I can't say' I followed'[ but I follow). You hear? Why am I even replying this? Madam...you have problem. U believe you are the only one working for ur money cos you work in snow cleaning toilets for ur slavemasters abroad. We work with dignity and we work hard and still have something to show for it. For ur information, I av masters in public health from john hopkins so u can go figure that out. quote author=gabbytabby] See the bits in brackets. The training is evident.[/quote] |
For the last time, let me comment on this thread and then unfollow it. I can't give my project to brabus as u can see I av a thread where I am building with self supervision. Brabus is a bad manager...no doubt. He is a bad contractor...no doubt and he usually bite more than what he can chew. But that he is fraud....I can't say yet and that's what I am trying to say. And to completely absolve the client from blame is not right. U kept saying five client complained about brabus....but they are different issues. And 3 of them know each other...knew his lapses and still gave him the job. The fact that his immediate two client knows each other is worrying to me. Brabus bleeped up....but do u honestly believe that some of the issues raised here don't happen everyday on different sites with reputable contractors and they still find a way of resolving it without neccessrily running to nairaland with tantrums. Pls spare me. If the client is so sure brabus defrauded him, get him arrested but if it is a failed contract which this appear to be then I think we should give him a chance to sort himself out with the client. I feel for the client but not with the emotions of most people commenting on this thread. The main problem here is that this house is needed by 15th...if not we won't probably hear cos the client may be willing to wait. But brabus can't handle a project with deadline...I learnt that from his encounter with ahohai so I can never vouch for him to deliver any project on time. My submission remain the same...I don't support brabus action but the client had enough warnings( even from brabus) to ptotect his investment but he refused to take action till its too late. So both of them are liable. Wede3: gabbytabby, why exhaust yourself with a long explanation? |
