Madam...yes I am a medical doctor and that's how we are trained. We don't accept things on face value. So unfortunate people like you that claim they come from diaspora where people are giving adequate opportunity to defend themselves are the ones coming to nigeria to do rubbish. I followed ur thread where u were posting pictures of ur tenant online and I must confess you dare not do such to me or a doctor. U will learn in a hard way. You don't just reason one way and think everybody will accept it like that. For ur information, I follow all of brabus thread since 2011 and I never post a comment same way I follow other threads without commenting so I av a balanced sense of judgement. For ur information, just yesterday, I got a refund after 2months for a plank that was not supplied to my site and I didn't die within that two months. I wonder the level of ur education that makes u think a doctor shouldn't av a divergent opinion and I notice something about some of u in diaspora, instead of stating ur case u will start saying that somebody with certain level of education is against u so nigeria is spoilt. And for u to say u pity those that rely on my judgement is an insult to ur own level of reasoning. Don't allow this to degenerate to insult cos I notice in ur numerous comment u don't have courtesy of words. U can avoid me if you can't tolerate my views gabbytabby: A greater worry is that a person of his education might actually reason this way and believe in what he is saying. It does mean as a country we do have a long way to go with this level of disjointed thought process. |
I can't discuss with an animal like you. I Demain_man: My Guy, You said it all. With the like of helpee in nigeria, the country still has a long way to go. I can understand why some people still reason like animals in this day and age. I smh too |
Rather with people like you who believe their opinion is the only thing that is right then we have a long way to go as a nation. Infact, with people like you that always take divergent opinion to be wrong, we can't have good governance in nigeria. So u think I must follow ur bandwagon approach to crucify? Who told you he didn't deliver @all. The client can't wait and he had done it so what do u want brabus to deliver other than to refund? If the client that complained about chekinaut decided to source for the granite elsewhere cos she couldn't wait and now decide to ask for a refund, will you conclude that it is a case of no delivery @all. Pls, don't ever tell somebody he can't differentiate between what is right and wrong...it is an insult. U believe ur opinion is right and I must accept it else I am wrong and u are complaining that we don't have good governance. Imagine if we have ur kind as a governor, you will throw everybody in opposition to prison cos u are the only that is right esoorita: God help Nigeria! With people like you who cannot distinguish what is right or wrong, it means we have a very long way to go as a nation. This is the reason why there's no good governance in Nigeria because when the leaders are not performing their duties, they have many astute defenders who are ready to defend them up to the hilt. I can't see the correlation with the complaint against Chekitaut and the one against Brabus but then we know that it's easy to stand truth on it's head in Nigeria. You seem to confuse not delivering on time from not delivering at all. |
eghosa johnny: This is what I can show for now and if I'm giving the chance to meet you I can show more cos my client from naira land refuse me from posting their jobs.pls learn how to do your business in a fair manner. You don't openly try to steal somebody's client openly like this. Don't u have honour. I don't care if this guy decide to try brabus again...that's his cup of tea and even if brabus take up the job, I will advise him to keep it offline. But for you to come openly to solicit for someone's client on his thread when he down and under fire shows how mean you are. U can't even be a good business cos you are too desperate. If you don't care wether brabus become ur enemy by soliciting openly for his job after his downfall on his own thread, u won't mind making the client ur enemy when things go wrong btwn you too. Sorry I am talking like this...I am just pissed |
I love this and I'm planning to show this piece to a patient of mine. 37wks now and she plans to travel via arik close to xmas with a deceptive cloth that won't reveal her pregnancy. She is not even planning to get a medical report. Her plan is to travel unnoticed with the pregnancy, why? Just to deliver an american!! Nigerians have this mentality and it is such a shame. This is a woman that got married for 5yrs. Without issue. Now that God has done it, she's planning to risk it just to americanise the baby |
You are still not getting it. You have made up your mind that brabus must be crucified cos of his antecedence. But life is not that straightforward. Nobody is saying that brabus is right but this same guy built this chateau with 25million and didn't run away until they gave him a 750K and he couldn't deliver on time. So he must be a thief and anybody that tries to reason out the situation must be standing logic on its head. Nope! I stand to be corrected...contractors world over sometimes collect money from client and are not able to deliver on time. That doesn't make them to be fraud. U quoted chekinaut but few weeks ago, a lady came to lodge complaint against chekinaut cos after collecting money, he couldn't deliver the granite and the workers were left idle on site. Must we now conclude that chekinaut is a fraud . So don't be pre-judgemental. Unless u want to deny an obvious fact, the two of them are @fault and they must find a way of resolving it. Even if the client approach the police, as along as he is ready to refund the money, no show! This is my candid opinion and u are entitled to yours gabbytabby: Yes its okay he offered the client the option to source the materials and that makes it okay for him to collect the money and not deliver the product and go back to collect the balance on the pretext that this is what is delaying delivery that he never initiated in the first place. Someone did say to me he ran away from this site because there are too many people with questionable sense of logic and he is not wrong. |
From the e mail correspondence above, it was obvious brabus offered the client the opportunity to buy all materials and pay him for supervision only. He even said he wasn't good @sourcing for materials yet the client one way or the other refused and now turn around to blame him. We don't know the kind of arm twisting that could have gone underground. If I employ brabus today, I will seriously cheat him cos I av a stronger bargaining power...all I need to do is tell him I will go online to rubbish him and he will be sweating. So that brabus accepted all the terms of the client even though unfavourable is not surprising cos he will be scared of online scandal again. There is no intent to defraud here. Delay in executing a contract is not fraud...it happens all over the world. Brabus is not denying accepting money here...he only offer to pay back since the client did it already. I am not defending brabus. This is one too many but I perfectly understand too that he is not in a good position to negotiate a favourable contract on nairaland for now due to antecedence. esoorita: Thanks gabbytabby for fishing out this post by Chekitaut because I was at a loss why some people are accusing the Ile Oluji client for paying so little (N750K) for the windows. To the best of my knowledge, the project is a 4 bedroom house so I'm not sure how some contributors are claiming that the building consists of 28 windows. We will need some clarifications from the client or Brabus to ascertain the actual numbers of the windows in the building but then I'll be extremely surprised if it has that many windows because it doesn't look like a glass house in the pictures I've seen on the thread. I must confess that some people are placing unjustified blames on the poor client claiming that he paid too little for the project but I think that it's very unfair to accuse him of getting a cheap deal for the project because I believe that the onus is on the contractor to come up with a realistic figure without compromise for the project. |
And if this same doctor insist on his bills now b4 treatment, people will blame him saying he should have saved lives ist. Now the same doctor treated them on credit and instead of the so called ministry to help them settle their bills they went their with police to arrest the doctor. Is he running a charity organisation? What do the society want from nigerian doctors self? NMA must intervene to ensure this doctor get paid. The stupid woman even have the guts to say the doctor will be prosecuted. For what? |
While it is always brabus that is always @ loggerhead with his client, I must confess that the guy probably built this chateau @ a loss. I am not a builder but the moment I saw 500K for the windows of the chateau then I knew something didn't fit. Truth be told...the fact that brabus always had issues with his client online means subsequent client may want to take advantage of him. For example, if he ask for more funds, the client will immediately become suspicious due to his antecedence and will probably threaten to expose him online again. He can be blackmailed easily. My advice for him is to take a break from online building, sit down with clients that won't rush online to come and rubbish him over every misunderstanding. I've had issues with numerous workers on my site but we usually resolve it. Building within six months is not easy but building within six months with a slim budget will definately rubbish you |

We chose pale green @the last minute. Though it came out very beautifully. So unfortunate my phone camera can't do justice to the beauty of the step tiles. The disadvantage is that the pale green roof will select colours for the building to get a good match

kopell: Weldone good job.tnks bro |
mufutau55: Same Almighty God who helped you to this stage will surely help you to complete the whole project and move-in in good health.amen tnks |
excell12go: Is that man a licensed medical doctorwhat are u saying? What has the school where he trained got to do with this? And don't insult consultants in O an G, any doctor after internship should be able to safely perform evacuation. Few injections can actually cause abortion and medical termination of pregnancy is safe only b4 7wks. Anything afterwards is dangerous cos of the risk of incomplete abortion and resultant post abortal sepsis. In nigeria, medical termination of pregnancy is risky cos mifepritone is solely meant for abortion and since abortion is not legal in nigeria, pharmacist can't import it. People are now left with misoprostol alone which should be an adjuvant to mifepristone. No injection is proven to induce abortion except methotrexate and can only be safely used by a doctor. What happened was that the doctor was inexperienced. The pregnancy was probably bigger than what could be terminated medically. The more the gestational age of the pregnancy, the more the risk of serious complication |
eghosa johnny: Hello sir,I am a builder and would appreciate if you will give the chance to work for you as your builder.why are u spamming another man's thread ?. Go and open your thread. Repeating the same thing over and over in another man's thread can be so annoying. Open your own thread please |
oseiwe: let him take dese few tried and trusted steps.if you are in lagos and u follow this advise, you are closer to prison than your bedroom. |
adconline: You are dreamer because u used the word "if" which means that it's a conditional statement and you are hoping/dreaming that it would happen.my friend u are spewing rubbish. Healthcare is very expensive. U get what u paid for. If the american system is that fantastic...why did they all die there? So u mean with all the billions of dollars americans invest on healthcare they couldn't save maryam babangida and u want nigerian doctors to perform miracle with nothing. It is not a dream. It is reality. Inject money in2 healthcare and doctors become miracle workers. |
adconline: No place for dreamers like you!actually, he is not a dreamer. For the cost of healthcare in USA, if hospitals can charge half of that amount and get paid in nigeria, we will be performing miracles. It is not an exaggeration. For the 70K the guy used in treating boil, many hospitals will use it to do two caesarian sections in nigeria and patient will still owe you. |
@euromillion, sorry for replying late. Will pm the number to you. We are now fully set for aluminium tommorrow. We are through with the woodwork and nogging. We are set to cover with aluminium tommorrow by HIS GRACE. Financial implication will follow appropriately
|
@aglomar, tnks. |
mufutau55: Do you know how much Allahu sell their 0.55 gauge in Longspan and Steptiles aluminum sheets per square meter?whaoh...this is very neat. Yes I av the full address...65 osundairo street, mulero and I av the phone number of the MD. I think their .55 is about 1000naira. What's the advantage of using .55 over .45 ? |
keziah123: Pls confirm the total qty of the different type of wood you used at the end of the day.2by4 =400, 2by3=369, 3by4=56, 2by6=10, faceboard=33, 2by2=400 |
Na akure connection be that!!! I remember very well Kenny4lyfe: Bro did you school {primary/secondary} in ONDO STATE? Reply me ASAP! That song just struck a chord in my memory! |
The front is just 259.7square meters and the back is 438.52square meters(total is roughly 700 square meters). I settled for 0.45. Meanwhile nogging is in progress and we are rounding up the woodwork within two days by HIS GRACE. There was a slight delay cos we encountered more disturbance from omonile than ever before. They didn't allow us to work for some days but the issue has been resolved and this has significantly contributed to the cost of the roofing which I will soon update
|
Tnks to muyesky....he said on his thread he bought aluminium sheets from alahu@mulero, agege. I went there yesterday to make payment. I am using steptiles infront and longspan @the back but same colour. Longspan@ 800naira per squaremeter and steptiles@900per squaremeter

Roofing woodwork in progress...

brabus: Weldone bros! I'm just seeing this thread. Good to see you are making some progress already.chairman brabus...I always follow ur thread and I've learnt a lot from you. Let me confess to u, I learnt more from people critisizing your work than your success...the LSDPC renovation and let's build this house thread. More power to your elbow!!! |
The meaning is that I didn't bother going to the market with any carpenter. If u think the wood is not ok, reject it and I will replace it for you.the wood merchant said I don't need to treat the wood and he accept responsibilty for anything that happens if I don't treat it but the carpenters are saying it is my house anyway and that I should be on the safe side by treating the wood so I am going with the advice of the carpenters. That is one of the advantages of not allowing your carpenters to meet with the wood merchants. U will get independent advice from each of them since they don't need to protect the interest of somebody they don't know. If the wood is not ok, the carpenters will say it cos they have nothing to lose |
I got various quotations from different carpenters and wood merchants. I decided I will be buying the wood small small so that I can properly track them and get the closest estimate with the last purchase. I went for this particular merchant cos he agreed that I can pay 75percent of cost such that if the carpenters reject any of the woods, he will just come and replace since I will still be owing him anyway. For example, he brought 254K worth of woods and I gave him 200K to balance when I need the next order. 2 by 4 =250@430naira. 2 by 3 =130@320. 3 by 4=46 @730. 2 by 6 =20@720. Faceboard=30@1300. Nail 3bags @5000. Ojagba=30@100 |
And the roofing formwork commences...
