In the case I was talking about, the baby was not all mushed up or disfigured - he looked intact generally. He was born on Friday evening and the family erupted with joy. Then on Saturday morning, news came he was dead. He had what was clearly an injury. I believe he either got injured during the birth (it was a difficult birth) or someone dropped him.
