komekn: You base you entire deduction on a newspaper report. Which in itself alludes to misgivings about the conduct of the Nigerian military. Considering at that time communications were spearheaded by Alex Badeh ( is there anymore to be said) And what do you base your fact on? |

The military has been recently stingy with information on the war in the Northeast. Their recent update was only full of praises and they avoided giving figures and specific operations.
Boko Haram/ ISWAP has been quieter of recent, other than their internal wrangling.
I might be wrong, I might be right. Just saying my mind. |

komekn: Are we ready for that debate are we ready to face hard truths.
We have two main camps here.
The first one is the Nigerian armed forces can do no wring and any criticism is an act of subversion and treason group .
The second is the knowledge based group mostly objective but still critical. Knowledge based So those who praise the army don't have knowledge. You are just calling kettle black. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Stop feeling insecure about others believe. Knowledge can never be segmented or partial. |

BabaOwen: The Nigerian Military has said it is not their duty to expose those sponsoring Boko Haram in the country. Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, John Enenche, stated this at a media briefing on Thursday.
Enenche admitted that the Army knows that some criminal groups have heavy financial backing, but its major task is to fight “terrorism and other criminality”.
He explained that the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS) were responsible for revealing the sponsors.
“It is not the duty of the military to uncover the sponsors. Our duty is to remain in the frontline and defeat terrorism and other criminality and that is what we are doing."
“We have the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Dept of State Security (DSS). It is their responsibility to gather intelligence on the sponsors of the terrorists and not the military,” Enenche maintained.

I hope someone won't tell me the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air force have a military intelligence corps RE- IT IS NOT OUR DUTY TO UNRAVEL BOKO HARAM SPONSORS 1. The attention of the Defence Headquarters has been drawn to a publication in some quarters with the above caption attributing it to a statement made by the Coordinator Defence Media Operations. For the records, the Coordinator only explained that unraveling sponsors of Boko Haram, Bandits and other criminal groups is the collective responsibility of the Intelligence fusion center, where both the Defence Intelligence Agency, Department of State Service and National Intelligence Agency work in harmony, while kinetics of operations is handled by relevant components of the Military. It is also on record that these agencies and the Armed Forces of Nigeria work together in all the Theaters of operations in the country. Recall also that recently, the Chief of Defence Staff even had National security meeting engagements with the various Heads of these security agencies and the Service Chiefs with a view to re-strategising the ongoing war against criminal elements. The Coordinator was quoted out of context by some media sources. 2. The publication is misleading and should therefore be disregarded. It is kindly advised that Journalists put in due diligence, to package stories in the right context before rushing to publish. We will remain accessible to the media for corroboration as well as verification of relevant news items. Thank you for your usual support and cooperation. JOHN ENENCHE Major General Coordinator Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters 2 July 2020. |

SamuelAnyawu: I only made mention of Boma wrath before you came mentioning me. I clearly stated Boma wrath I think what he meant is that you failed to acknowledge the effort of the Nigeria army. The News story also reported Nigerian military dealt with bokoharam/isis by killing over 1200 fighters. You made it sound like Nigerian military are not doing anything and the Chadians are doing all the good work |
