I got my correspondence Letter in my CIC account the day I got notification that my passport had been stamped with the counterfoil.

Have you gotten notification that your passport has been stamped? You will get it the same day or max next day after it was stamped and maybe not the day passport was requested.

Check the attached image. I got my counterfoli stamped 26/09/18 and correspondence letter into my account 27/09/18
I see! I thought it was supposed to come within 48hrs after getting original passport request. So you think I should wait until I'm notified that passport has been stamped?

Thank you brother for your best wishes. Sorry to hear that you haven't received your correspondence letter/Introduction letter. Kindly send a CSE to lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca and you will have your letter updated via your MyCIC account within 24hrs. Once again Congratulations on your achievement. We all hope to testify here someday.
Thanks bro... Your immense contributions to people on this forum is touching. For this reason I know that God will not leave you out. Frankrobben, you'll testify soon, believe, be convinced and be strong. May God bless you.

On a side note, I see a leader in you.

Jeremy, I believe God will settle you, just believe! Frankrobben... Happy birthday brother! Happy birthday Mainkampt. Sorry it's coming late. May all your heart desires come through in Jesus name. Starting with trv approvals!!

Please for those who got a correspondence letter after original passport request, how long did it take you guys? I mean the letter presented at POE to get a study permit, If I remember correctly, frankrobben told someone in part 14 to send an email after not receiving it within 48hrs of PPR.
Please I'm asking cause I haven't received mine, and PPR was on October 11, 2018. I stand corrected on this as I'm not sure of the procedure

I apologise if I have come with my many questions, Una know say na my way.

Sorry boss, just want to ask what SOP means. I'm new here and not familiar with some of the terms and abbreviations used here .

Thanks once again
It means statement of purpose, it's a letter explaining why you want to come to Canada and study. It's actually a letter of explanation as stipulated on the website.

TedExNairaland:
Bro, please the summary of my true situations is this.

1) I graduated with a 3rd class in Estate management

2) because I use to be in a private school before I left in at my 3rd yr, after the death of my late dad, I cldnt continue after his death due to finance. Mumsy cldnt afford my school fee because she wasn't working and we are five children. So i had to restart in a government uni after hustling for 2yrs.

3) in gaining admission with the hope of going for NYSC, I reduced my age and trust government uni, strike was a problem and again, my course was 5yrs.

Now these are my questions.

1) Will I be able to do a PGD with my grades and won't my age contradict when my transcript age is different from the age on my waec result.
Won't it affect my admission or visa application?

2) will it be advisible to go and restart a fresh BSc there, bearing in mind that I am above 30yrs now?

3) when applying for international passport, what age should I use, My waec age(real) or my affidavits age (university/Transcript).

Finance is not the problem anymore. Popsy's benefits have been paid which is more than enough and mumsy is willing sponsor me to move out.

Will appreciate your candid advise.
Sorry what you responded to wasn't meant for you.
You can apply for a pgd since you are over 30, but it doesn't mean you wouldn't get visa if you apply for a fresh degree program. Just ensure you have a convincing SOP.
On the issue of your age, all I can say is ensure you age is the same on all the documents you're applying with to avoid a ban, cause oyibo hate lies and misinformation.

Good afternoon here.....plss is urgent...i nid to knw something, i was just given admission into 2 colleges in canada for (winter academic section) which is in January.... And visa processing takes more than 3months so i here...now the schools gave me deadlines to pay my tuition fees( though am picking one school)..... The problem now is should i go ahead and make my payment or defer the admission.... And even if am to defer do i still need to pay the fees in order to secure the admission down
If you choose to pay school fees, be sure to verify their refund policy. You can apply for winter program if you have all your documents ready, especially now that it's been observed that September and October applications are being handled swiftly.
Last I checked you don't need to pay school fees if you defer an admission.

Wish you the best

You should get it before Friday next week (not this week oh). Too late but you could have as well paid courier fees so it is sent to your chosen destination. Anyway, I can understand how your blood will be boiling to collect it asap.

Submitted mine in Abuja on a Thursday and it was back the next Friday (about 8 days later). It would have come back a day before but for the recent aviation workers strike. If you submitted in Lagos, I expect the transit to be faster.
Lol... At blood is boiling to collect! You know every.
That means you got yours in 5 working days. I decided to wait to collect it since I'm flying and on sick leave at work to resume Sunday next week. I still got time... Thanks baba!

All things been equal, you should get your passport within 10 working days.

Although mine took 5 weeks but I think mine took so long because I applied for my visa in London and then got my passport request Letter and then travelled back to Lagos to submit my passport.
Wow... That's like 25 working days. Hoping I get it before next week Friday. Thanks man!

Are you sure she does not want to try the Skilled workforce route, she becomes a PR and then she can do her MBA afterwards since you all still plan on migrating to Canada? Cos from what I see above, she qualifies easily. Just a suggestion.
Very good suggestion!

Respect to gurus and the newbies in this thread!

My wife is considering to go for MBA program in Canada. The program is very key to her cos of the profession she has found herself.
Besides, place of work support study leave, which means she can still come back to continue her job at the end of the program.

Questions
1.what are her chances of gaining admission?
2.which of the MBA schools in Canada can she consider?(tuition fee arround $35k or less)
3. Are there MBA schools that their GRE or GMAT scores are not required or not too higher that can be considered?
4.Any advice?

from there, proceed to checking sites of each schools mentioned based on your budget to get more detailed information on required gmat scores, fees, etc.
Her cgpa and working experience in a related business organization will also give her an added advantage in being admitted.

Hope this helps you

Good morning peeps. Kindly advise, I have a 2 year old daughter I intend taking along if I'm granted study permit. She's a US Citizen and no one to take care of her back in Nigeria. My hubby won't be coming with me I also have two siblings in Ontario where I plan to srudy. I hope these won't affect points on family ties...
From the little I know, it's understandable that you can't leave your 2 year old kid behind so don't think that's an issue. Since your hubby isn't coming, you can use him as a home tie, you can add properties if you guys have any.

Goodmorning ..I applied for US student visa around july but I was banned..so I want to apply to Canada now ..Is that possible? Because someone said if I apply in Canada they will find out that have been banned, he said because Canada and US share information's. How true is that please?
You can apply for a Canadian visa, but you've to state that you were banned in your USA visa application, and the reason for the ban. And yes, Canada or any other foreign country will always know cause they share information like you said. Avoid whatever caused your ban in the USA, and any form of misinformation in your application.

Good morning all. @ those who have admission in Humber college, Kindly advise how long it's likely to take. I applied just about a week ago. Also advise if I can do my medicals and police report now and how to go about It.
A week is still too early. Depending on the program you applied for, it could take months to get response from the school.
When I applied for mine, I applied for fall program 2018 (September) in January 2018, but I was wait listed, so I quickly applied for winter 2019 (January) and summer 2019 (may) programs in case I don't get September 2018 admission. I got admitted for January 2019 on may 31, 2018. Later on in July, I got a mail for a seat in September 2018 if I was still interested. I had to decline cause there wouldn't be enough time to process visa.

Admission could take months, so be patient. I would advise you apply for other schools or sessions in same school so you don't lose either ways. I wish you all the best.

Forget about medical and police report until you have gotten admission. Police report is valid for 3 months so it might expire before you even get admitted and apply for visa Medicals is valid for a year though.

Also sorry abt your accident may the Lord perfect his healing over you but don't protect that leg you had the surgery on. Work that leg, walk with it very well and you would be happy you did.

CONGRATS BRO, This is a big testimony. For those of you saying its difficult to get visa with PGC/PGD, hope this have proved u wrong. Not only did he get his Visa, he got it within a month. Like I always say, the quickest approval (from Nigeria)I have seen on this thread was in 20 days and was also a PGD applicant, now this is another testimony. To all PGD applicants, do not be discouraged by anyone here, U can get ur Visa with PGC/PGD without any wahala, You just have to give this Vos what they want, thats all what that matters. Congrats once again Henricson, go make us proud. Peace
Thanks boss!
