[quote author=reichwolf post=70178137]Just sign on a piece of paper & scan it with a smartphone to have a digital copy. Then you can paste the resulting JPG image in your SOP Word file. Also if your dad or someone else is sponsoring you make sure you include a letter signed by them too in your SOP.

I hope this helps.

Yes it helps... Thank you so much boss!

Please is it necessary to sign one's SOP if application is done online, and application form if application is done online too? Or is using the validate button just ok?

I have another question guys, one of my sponsor is my uncle who is a Canadian citizen together with my dad. My dad and I paid fist tuition fees, I have his account statements, but my uncle didn't give me his. He explained he no funds in present balance. His sponsorship letter states he will pay for accommodations, feeding, transport and second semester tuition. But supporting documents from his was his citizenship certificate, certificate of employment by the Nunavut government (cause that's where he works) stating annual income and allowances. He says that's all I need, but I am not very comfortable based on what I have seen here. Is this ok?

Secondly, I just realised that my program, college graduate certificate in project management is equivalent to a pgd. I have a bsc in banking and finance and MBA. Please forgive my ignorance, my uncle did the application for me as he has been in Canada since 2001, he felt project management is best but I didn't know it will make me step down to pgd as it's not a course I did in first degree. I have seen post that it's always better to go for masters or phd, but this where I am now. I tried to explain the career change in my SOP, it wouldn't hurt if one our humble gurus offer to read mine, I'd be mighty grateful.

I apologise for the long post, but this is my First time, just trying to be sure I do the right thing on my part before applying.

One more thing, is it necessary to get a notary to validate documents for paper route application?
Please I need more responses to this

Doesn’t matter which of the High Commission the letter is addressed to, the content of the letter is what matters and shall be deciphered. Yes you can apply in Lagos even if Letter is addressed to the High Commission in Abuja or even Afghanistan.
But I guess one can be called to do biometrics in either Abuja or Lagos if one applies online.

Hello:

In terms of having someone in assisting, arranging and making sure your documents are properly filled... Paper route will be your best bet here.

Going through paper route, you will complete your biometrics same day, submit your passport with your application and pay for your visa application fee of #56,050 at the counter in the VFS office.

Filling the forms before heading to the VFS Office will be cheaper because you will be charged like 7K to get your forms filled by some bussiness centers (Cyber Cafe) outside the VFS office premises. (Putting into consideration that you're a novice, you might decide to pay them to help fill your form, so as to avoid mistakes).

Use this medium to access the forms needed for your application and follow the instructions provided:
DOWNLOAD STUDY VISA APPLICATION FORMS

Furthermore, there are no best route to use (be it online or paper) in as much as people get refused and approved in both routes.

All the best!
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this.

Abuja or Lagos does not determine where your application will be processed, don't waste your money going to Abuja.
I could have gone to Lagos, but issue is the sponsorship letter written by my uncle was addressed to the Abuja office. Don't think it will make sense going to Lagos with that, will it?

Your dad and your uncle are right. VFS Abuja gives little assistance, incase of errors in your IMM forms; and as well you will be able to do biometrics and submit passport same day. Just try to be there on time.
Thank you bro.

Please I have a question for the house.
Still waiting on getting a police clearance, hopefully will apply for January 2019 session lastest next week.

Want to apply online, but my dad and his brother who's a citizen in Canada keep insisting on me going to the abuja visa office and submitting a paper application so I can be assisted if there're mistakes. They insisted the paper application is preferable to that online.

My issue now is, if I do a paper application, is it possible to do biometrics same day and submit my passport same day?

And do I have to print out the form before travelling or I can get it right there in the office?
Please may I get an answer guys?

I'm yet to apply for a study visa, as I'm yet to get police and medical clearance. But I wanted to know, when one applies online and upload online, how is the passport submitted?
Is it on request for biometrics?

No not a pgd program... A graduate program in project management.

You will have to scanned all documents....firstly you will upload imm forms 1294E...family information form...and temporary visitor form....then there is a place they wrote..
Client information were you will upload your SOP....BSC certificate etc. ...then you still upload....sponsored financial document with your own all together...and there after your data page of passport separately...and passport photograph...
What is imm forms 1294E...family information form...and temporary visitor form? Since I'm not going with any family members and I'm single, is family information necessary?

Family tieshuh
Your family tie is a little issue which you have to explain well by drawing more ties to Nigeria and explain why you must come back home. That was one reason for paddy's rejection.

Don't take pictures, scan.

Proof of financial establishmenthuh
What about your own SOA? Your properties.
I have SOA and treasury bills, but I thought SOA of sponsor was more important as mine wasn't sufficient enough. Besides, I have no properties for now.

I'll like to first apologize to people who may get angry that the alot of repetitive questions are being asked. I tried my best to get information from old threads and the CIC website.

This is my first time applying for a Canadian study permit. Got an admission to humber college for a graduate program in project management slated for the winter program January 2019. I have an MBA from Ahmadu Bello Zaria, and b.sc in banking and finance. I have been working for almost 3 years in customer care for a telecommunications company. That's for that.

So far, I realised one can apply online and just upload required documents. I hope it's ok to take pictures of documents and upload.

For clarification, required documents to upload online are, acceptance letter from university, birth certificate, police clearance (yet to be called to pick this up), upfront medical clearance (booked appointment date at prime medical is 31/07/2018), SOA from sponsor plus letter of introduction, plus canadian citizenship page of sponsor, employment letter and payslip of sponsor, letter of introduction from work place plus 6months payslip (learnt payslip not important though), employment letter, Nigerian passport (data page), proof of first semester tuition payment.

One last question, I guess visa application fee is paid immediately after application online, and later on the visa office calls for biometrics

Please once again, I apologise for taking us back

so what wrong in her helping him stand? There are countless number of girls nigerian guys have helped to stand today... some have been trained solely by their bf. U see why i simply dont like Nigerian girls? Even though my fiancee is a Nigerian, i hate most u guys. Instead of advising her to see how to help the young man, u are telling her to leave him because he is jobless.

If she is doing better than him, why not help him be a better person? I am the one helping my fiancee to stand knowing fully well how hard this country is..

Our ladies need to change their mindset. This is why I laugh at them whenever they have plenty issues in marriage. They usually run with the highest bidders and most of them end up marrying a beast who usually mess them up after few years of marriage. I know of four married ladies who are weeping now..

My neighbor who sharperly married a man who is financially okay, based in the USA, she is crying badly now. His family is dealing with her and she was busy sharing with my two nights ago, weeping and complaining she didnt ask questions before accepting him..

I was happy for her because i know her type. They plenty among u all Nigerian girls. They always think they are smart.
Most Nigerian girls don't believe in helping a man grow... They see it as foolish, and rationalize that he will go for someone else when he's made

for complete 3years,a man like you is busy prancing his streets with dreadlock and empty pocket just like you prance romance section with eggs and milk.

the lady didn't even made mention about his hustling ,cos had it been he's a hustling guy,it would have given the op hope, but he's been jobless for 3years.
what happened to engaging in teaching job or something and keep waiting for better choice;he just folded his alms to be fed like a baby.
cut the crap of ritual cos you don't even know the said customer.

I'm not supportive of her cheating on him,but what's the probability that the said bf will still marry her after these wasted years.
let's tell ourselves the truth abeg.
You're actually making assumptions... The op never said her jobless boyfriend depended on her, or that he wasn't hustling. Besides, she mentioned he just finished nysc and they have been dating for 3 years, not that he served 3 years ago.
If I were the boyfriend, I wouldn't waste my time on a relationship... Most of the time relationships are a waste of time.

For your 2nd question: Have you heard of the Airline Leasing business where big airlines lease some of their fleet to other airlines as a result of insolvency or to generate more revenue? Airlines do this all the time.

For your 1st question: yes I will feel safer buying a fairly used car from a company that takes very good care of its cars like the oil companies or big banks. Same goes for an airline. Where do you want the owner of Air Peace to get the money to buy a brand new plane? Haba bros you check am na cheesy

You might be wondering why I know a lot about the aviation industry. I guess I acquired that fascination once I started travelling internationally. Cheers bro smiley
Baba rest abeg... You've made enough points. After all emirates and air peace ain't on the same level. Air peace is doing well for now, even beyond expectations.
