Hi all! Please who has applied for co-op work permit along side study permit and what was their experience?
From what I saw on my correspondence letter, I think this stated on the study permit issued at point of entry. Co op work permit should also have been stated in your application, with an uploaded document showing it as a requirement.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by henricson(m):
Please for those who have traveled and received their study permit, may I know what you presented as proof of funds? Should this be a new bank statement or cash?

Aside, introduction letter, passport, proof of funds, what other documents can one keep handy?

Hello Nairalanders,

I want to encourage you with Esther 6 vs 1-3. ''On that night the king could not sleep. And he gave orders to bring the book of memorable deeds, the chronicles, and they were read before the king.''.

I decree that a book of remembrance is opened upon our Canada visa applications this morning.

For each and every person who's timeline has elapsed and it seems that we have been forgotten, that the visa officers responsible for our applications will lose sleep until they have attended to and until our applications are favored, and our approvals are granted in the mighty name of Jesus.

vs 3, ''And the king said, “What honor or distinction has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” The king’s young men who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”

I decree that our applications right from this moment begin to receive priority and that the entire host of heaven begins to fast track it in the mighty name of Jesus.

Just as the King lost sleep until Mordecai was rewarded, as we have prayed, fasted, waited on God, I hereby decree by the power invested in me as a daughter of the most high God, that all the visa officers and staff responsible for all applications that have exceeded processing times begin to lose sleep until we are favored in the mighty name of Jesus. They will all not rest until they have done the will of God concerning our applications in Jesus name.

..... and the house shouts a thunderous AMEN!!!.

Have a miracle-filled week in Jesus name. Amen.

goingforward.
A resounding Amen to this Woman of God!

Morning guys, trying to apply this morning but I saw bad gateway...anybody having thesame issue?
My brother you're not the only person, I have been getting this since last night, can't download my correspondence letter. Now this morning it's saying session has expired. I have logged out so many times.
CIC has so much issues! Thought scheduled maintenance was tomorrow... What's this one now? Anyway, I have decided to leave the site for now.

If your passport will expire in 2021, then your study permit to be issued will also expire in 2021. The difference between the study permit and the Visa is that the Visa simply allows you enter and leave the borders of Canada. The study permit is what actually allows you to enroll and study in an educational institution in Canada.

That being said, if your visa expires in 2019 and your study permit is still valid, you'll still be eligible to continue studying. But you will not be able to travel outside Canada (such as during vacations. Because you won't be able to return to Canada on an expired Visa).

If you want to travel, you'll have to apply for visa renewal when it expires, which wouldn't be difficult at all.
Really? I didn't know this!

APPROVAL ALERT!
Application Submitted: August 24, Paper Route
Program: PhD, McGill
Medical Request: September 28
Medical Done: October 2
Medical Passed: October 9
Approval: October 17

I submitted LOE to explain why I chose the program and Canada, the source of funding, family ties, and my willingness to come back to Nigeria.

N.B: (1) I intentionally did not submit police report since I have read of approvals without it, and I believe CIC will request for it if they need it
(2) I only submitted the funding letter from my supervisor which covers tuition and living expense. I did not submit any personal account details
Good for you!

You can travel first week of December cause they are aware of the extreme winter condition. Canada is a polar region not a temperate region like the US, UK etc so they will welcome you cause you want to acclimatize the terrible weather condition.

Just bear it in mind that air ticket price increases every week.
Will advice you to book as soon as possible
Alright bro... Thanks.

Considering it is winter you could let them know you came in early so you could acclimatize that should be enough reason to travel early.First week in December is okay.

Good morning everybody
To book your flight you can make use of the following travel company for a stress-free
Kayak
Flap/travelstart
Wakanow
Skyscanner
Expedia
The cheapest flight I've seen so far from LOS to YTO (Lagos to Toronto) is Egyptair (Expedia)

Moreover, you can book your flight directly with the airline company (emirate, Lufthansa, United airline etc) through there official website, I think booking with the airline company is cheaper.

The best time to book a flight is NOW (if you're traveling December or January) 1 or 2 months ahead of your travel.
cause booking flight from November ending to January, will be very very expensive

Bless up
Yeah Egyptian air is cheap, saw one around December 17th for 256k or so, route is through Lagos to Cairo then Toronto. Saw klm for about $512 about 186k route is through Lagos to Paris to Toronto. Date for this flight is Dec 5th.
My issue is, since school will resume Jan 7,2019, and visa started counting since October 11,2018 will it be too early to travel first week of December? I mean with the whole POE ish... I hear people say here it's not good to travel too early.

Google Travel start or Wakanow. Then check for flight deals. You can also play around dates on their sites to see the days with low fare. Congrats again.

Thanks for the feedback Bro! It's very clear to me now that Kenya are the ones handling some online applications starting from September and October. Never worry about the validity of your visa, the same God that assisted your application in the arms of the Kenya visa officers will surely help you with your PGWP when the time comes. Congratulations once again and thanks for providing clarity. God bless you richly.

Also use the below email to send a CSE to Kenya processing office concerning your correspondence letter:
nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca

All the best Bro.
Thanks brother.

Hi henricson,

I learnt that your submitted passport is ready for pickup. Please when you get your stamped visa passport, don't forget to update the house so as to know which of the visa office that approved your application since you applied in September (Online route). Thanks as you do so. Remain blessed Bro.
Yes oh... I just picked it up now. You wouldn't believe that application was handled by Nairobi. I still can't believe that they approved my visa, this is just God's favor. The people are even so stingy with pgwp time. Infact visa started counting from October 11th day of approval and end Nov 30 next year. But I ma shine in canny, the time ain't a thing.
For September and October applicants, it appears that them Nairobi angels are handling your applications just pray for God's favor in the sight of the VO.

Frankrobbn, you're in my prayers.
I think I will send a cse to Lagos cause I am yet to get introduction letter.

Guys please I just tracked my application now on vfs website after submitting passport on 16/10/2018 which was on Tuesday. Now I'm seeing your processed passport is ready for collection on 18/10/2018 which is today. But I'm yet to receive an email from vfs confirming this, I was wondering if I can just go pick it up tomorrow.

Do I have to get an email or tracking information is ok?

For some the question might sound stupid, but please I'm asking cause I'm still moving around with crutches due to post op recovery after surgery, and wouldn't want to go through pains, and still waste cab fare going there tomorrow for nothing.

@jnyuwa I have been seeing your comments on this forum for a long time now, before and after I got my approval, but chose to mind my business. I did not mention you in my comment, yet you chose to antagonize me. You are one to say someone is on a high horse, when all you've done here is exude irritating pride. I believe those who knew you on this thread as at last year can also attest to this, and we know you suddenly became 'humble' because of the over 1 year timeline on your application.

I have seen you deceive a lot of people on this thread with your lies! Enough with that already! Please, stop coming to lie on this thread.

I've done my in-depth research on you and your files are very readily accessible online. Well, nothing in the Western world is hidden. All the court cases you've had, motions filed, and those dismissed. I've read your files! You're one heck of a case! And you've come here severally to deceive people that you never had issues in the US and you are 'clean as a saint'. Please, stop deceiving people on this thread! "Mr. J.A.N." aka jnyuwa
This table you're shaking... There're people on top oh!

Hello my brothers and Sisters..

Is it necessary to fill and upload the schedule 1- Application for a temporary Resident Visa made outside Canada ( IMM 5257 )

Thanks and good luck to everyone.
Like Frankrobbn said it's not necessary, but for me it was as I couldn't proceed to next page without uploading it. Just fill, it's just a one page questionnaire with very few questions.

Guys I thought (Application for a temporary Resident Visa made outside Canada (IMM5257) is meant to be filled for a vistor visa and not study permit
It's required for a study permit, besides a study permit is a temporary residence cause you don't have permanent residence status.
