SooCute: Hi guys! i am excited hearing all the good news, i expect more to come. My question is: What influence does the state you intend to study in have over your visa success? Does the state act as intermediary to the visa-issuing embassy? It is your city in Germany that approves the visa based on the recommendation of the VOs
Again, i visited the German embassy at Abuja to authenticate my documents only for the access control personnel to tell i had to book appointment online. Handed me the email. I mailed the embassy but they didn't seem too reply accordingly. Has this happened before? I have already sent another request for appointment. Wait till Monday and then write them again. Always write before 9:00Am |

tutipsy: I had my interview today 28th of September
I arrived 5 am, I was the first applicant
Paulinus came around 6:30 and started to rant as usual, but he is actually a nice guy.
That was how my interview went. It was a good day.
Please I want to ask, how long does it take to get a mail to fund your account? Don't wait for them to tell you to fund. If you have the funds, go ahead and fund since schools are resuming. If you don't fund early enough, they may not ask you to but may send you a rejection based on funding. Everything depends on your enrolment deadline. |

ninered: Mrbigman no mind am...don't even sweat your self on small stuff. I started reading this thread as well from middle of part2 and it helped alot. At some point i was tempted to open a German Agency business. My first question ever was about Fintiba Block account because it was a new thing. But you'll see people asking lazy questions like- how do I travel to Germany? Which schools are free in Germany? How do I apply for student visa? etc The one way weak me pass is...Is daad.de a website? Haba!!! May I use this opportunity and congratulate you on your visa success. Please in response to your comment on the lady's question, I want to say that she has all the reason to ask such question because the person that answered her wrote dead.de instead of daad.de Please check to confirm it. Arigold007: OK thanks pls if you anyone can help with the documents that are usually asked for during interview by the V.O. to help me package well. I have checked on the embassy site but there is no checklist there The checklist is a two page document that you are expected to download from their site. Please take your time and find it online so that you don't get dissapointed. It is seen under long time visa/Students |

In essence, prepare for straightforward and direct answers. And be prepared to be shaken by the lady, but keep your composure. Others who have interviewed with that lady said the same thing about her and got their visas so I'm not too worried.
PS: She didn't ask for my WAEC scratch card oh, and I went with the printout of the details. How did you go about the Munich letter which they said they will give you for Visa interview in place of Admission letter or did you use EBS. |

neccki: My own Opinion; Just choose Mechatronics and thank me later.
Mechatronics carries more Content & Practicals........But if you know you don't want the stress, just go for Eng& Manag.
And if it's job wise, there are jobs in Schweinfurt & Wurzburg.
But the choice is yours. #Big Ups What's your basics of comparison. I will like to understand your view point more broadly. |

We appreciate those of us who have been around encouraging the newbies. Please no matter what your challenge maybe, don't forget that it is still Possible
For those who are new to nairaland or this forum, please know that it is best to read as much as you can from previous pages, it helps you to have an in depth understanding of the German process.
In case you have a specific concern, this is how to get the links to where it was discussed previously :
Use Google and search "the keyword (space) General German visa enquiry part (space) nairaland"
For example, if you want to search about visa interview, then just key in the following on Google text box : Visa interview General German visa enquiries part nairaland .
This method can be used also to get any information from any website and other fora with just a little tweak.
I hope this helps you. |

MabraO: Pls I need a candid advise. With this uni-assist wahala of not confirming my payment after 2 weeks I am thinking of applying to another school. Should I wait for uniassist or forget them? As the €90 I paid don enter voicemail You shouldn't forget them. I told you to write them before via their contact page. If you login, you will see a contact menu by the left of your screen. Choose a subheading that is related to your question/complaint and write them through it. Take your time and understand the contact page. They will eventually respond. Forget those that are running their mouths. The best way to pay Uni-assist is to use a contact in Germany. One of us here paid for me and it was instantly. He told me when Uni-assist will confirm it and they did. He even mailed the payment receipt to me. Many of the people that talks anyhow will not come back to this forum when they travel. arieshybrid: Quick one:
Does anyone have/had this problem:
My sister sent her Bsc Cert to uni-assist, uni-assist rejected it that they need the transcript, now the problem is, her university mos definitely doesn't give student copy. They want to send the original straight to the school. Now here is the problem, uni-assist stated that they want "certified copy" for all docs and no original.
The university will send original to uni-assist, which is not a certified copy. We could aswell find a way to get the transcript if we want to, but the second problem is, the school always write "receiver's name and address" on the transcript, so i feel it won't make sense when a transcript is addressed to uni-assist and uni-assist see that it's a photocopy but as been certified. SAD but i don't know if people will understand my write up, but anyways below are the questions needing clarification.
Question: - Should the university go ahead to send the transcript to uni-assist straight (which is original and not certified) - Should we find a way to get the transcript (we can work around collecting it), photocopy and have it certified before it's been sent (uni-assist address is already on the first page of the transcript)
Please any honest advice will go a long way... Let me clarify you. 1) Use any university of choice as the receiving address. Uni-assist doesn't care about the address on the transcript. But use the school you really care about in other to still use it for enrollment. Then you know the way you can collect it by hand before mailing it to Uni-assist, after you have certified it. NB: always crosscheck your transcript when you receive it from school, as humans, they do have typo error in it. |

Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Würzburg-Schweinfurt
Please is it a good choice, in respect of location to secure a side job and also cost of accommodation and living.
A detailed response will go a long way.
Thank you. Yes, I'm applying for the school and is a very good location for jobs and also cheaper in accommodation compared to the bigger cities. NB: Würzburg and Schweinfurt are two different cities although neighbors but Schweinfurt is a small city. @Profsamurai is currently there. |

Dominicumoh: Good day friends!
Also, must my TOEFL score be sent directly to Uni-assist? I used the PDF copy from the site and sent them a photocopied and certified hard copy, will that be sufficient? Or do I still need to pay additional $20 to ets.org to send the official score to Uni-assist. Looking forward to good responses I think they will accept it as long as you certified it. To be sure write Uni-assist now and enquire, hopefully they may reply the next day. You can be learning online with Duolingo app. "Learn German with Ania" on YouTube is also very good. I hope is helpful... |

Hello everyone
Please I have some questions :
1)I applied for two schools through Uni-assist and I'm to send my credentials to Uni-assist. Do I need to forward two separate files because of the two schools, or send one since they are exactly the same documents.
2)I need assistance with Euro (at subsided exchange rate) for Uni-assist payment.
