Raysleek: If you go yankee, you go get mind park anyhow? Parking indiscriminately is breaking the law, its more than a mere genuine concern. And a person that breaks the law is the real thug. Go and try such nonsense in Yankee whether police no go deport you. No where in the world does wrong parking demands pulling of guns and firing shots. Don't be stupid. Even police won't pull their guns when you park wrongly not to talk of another citizen pointing a gun at someone. To think that guns are illegal in Nigeria yet the Kuti guy not only owns one but brandishes it as he wills using to threaten anyone he doesn't like. In the same Yankee you mentioned, if he does this, he'd be arrested and have license seized. Depending on the state he might do time in jail. |

Misterdhee1: Is this a joke? The same Nigerian Christians that would do anything to force their religion down your throat through forceful/loud evangelism, false alarms (Islamization)? The only group in Nigeria that has a semblance of tolerance is yoruba - and that's largely due to the strong interactions between worshippers from the two major tribes over time. The other two tribes are intolerant to minority worshippers . Sometimes I wonder if some of are educated upto secondary school at all. Is the discussion about most tolerant ethnic group? Even the same Yorubas you're talking about, there are Islamic fanatics among them in Kwara, Osun and parts of Lagos. |

He's a hypocrite and a lying coward. I just remembered that Redeem woman that was killed while preaching in Abuja and the useless writer has the guts to tell us Christians are killing unbelievers. What nonsense! I'm very angry right now |

Jashub: Samuel Browmback should have said "Racial Islam" instead. Those who terrorise nigerians are strictly adherents of the Islamic faith. leave the fool who wrote the article. He claims anyone that goes against both religions gets death sentence. My entire life in Nigeria I've not heard of one person being beaten for not believing in Christ or for insulting the church. But the idiotic writer due to lack of information just wrote what came to his mind. What am idiot he must be. I guess such content pays him more. |

Nobelwinner: There are no winners in this matter. Whilst I am yet to see/read the entire evidence presented by the FRN, I wonder why they are fast tracking this young woman's case. Is this a case of "Let's make an example of her matter, so as to discourage others" Are they really fastracking it? It's actually a very slow case. The murder was committed over 3 years ago. Nobody is making any stupid example of anyone. Some of you ask for a better Nigeria yet you don't want people to be punished for their crimes. If it was a man that killed his wife, no one would be making silly statements but here we are. It's a very sad situation but the law must be upheld. Remember the victim has family too. |

Chinny024: How will the kid feel when she finds out the predicaments surrounding the parent's death... Irrespective of whatever anyone feels, the law has to be respected otherwise what stops another woman from killing her husband tomorrow while he's sleeping? Moreover, even if the woman is acquitted today, their daughter still won't forgive her when she grows up to learn that her mother killed her father while he's sleeping over jealousy. Either way, the daughter's emotions and life are already affected so let the law have its way as it should for all and sundry. |

Gainman: because he said that? What did u expect the man to say. So d victim did not have mother that is in pain They're Muslims so the father is the head of the house/family. But the truth is whether he forgives or not, the federal government would not because that'll be impartial practice against others who committed same crime and were given same punishment. moreover they'd have to sentence and have people hear about it so the next woman doesn't feel empowered to go ahead and kill her husband in cold blood as this lady did. It's a sad situation but the law has to take its course. She deserves what she gets unfortunately. |

It is/was an open and shut case. I'm surprised people were even hoping she would be acquited. The story goes that she stabbed him to death while he was asleep, which would be considered premeditated murder. I'm an Accountant by profession and I'm talking about what's fuelling Government action not the Action itself....
I thought I was on Intellectual debate on negative impact of capitalism and it's implication on Taxes and the people ... ... Nairaland ooo
Anyway, .. Enjoy your day ... and Ohhhh, Obinna ... How market bro You're the most unintelligent person I've had to interact with, the past week. Whatever is your professional does not matter in this discussion. A simple question, how does the government demanding for money(via taxation) from citizens translate to capitalism being bad? Are such a dunce to think like that or you just don't know how to reason? Another question, if capitalism is abolish and your darling socialism replaces it, would the government stop demanding for money from citizens? You see you should know where to point blames at, it's surprising that a supposed graduate of accounting could think that excessive government taxation is caused by capitalism. Wonders shall never end on this same nairaland. |

DonroxyII: So, it's Government that selling you the drugs you are using and the IVF being passed into your body when you loses body fluid ... I'm not ignorant.... Capitalism puts power in the hands of people that are Knowledgeable.... Many people will die because not many people will be able to cope with advancement in Human and her technological breakthrough fuelled by the desire to beat Competition and possessed competitive advantage over rivals ...
Capitalism is good , it will definitely lead to human extinction due to constant search for knowledge to surpassed competition,
constant search for funding for Government and individual activities ...
Also, the world is hot now and that's Capitalism for you....
Capitalism is just Business, It doesn't have regard for Humanity if not controlled and diluted with elements of socialism.... I see many people committing suicide as their brain get tired and can't cope with constant changes in world affairs ....
Now, if not for Capitalism, who ask residents to pay 200K for Radio and TV licenses in this very hard time that Onion has become Bitcoin .... But Government also find it hard too so they need money .... How will they get money to fund Government activities and pay salaries , Tax people more and more ... The more people find life difficult, the more they find life unnecessary and Gbam "Suicide" ....
Money that supposed to come to the street for people are being channelled to researching next best product ...
Bring your products out make Billions ....become an Overnight Billionaire ... Money for 1million people only get pocketed by just 10 persons ...
Money that Only Dangote alone control can feed 10 states in Nigeria .... If not for Capitalism, how can Dangote be that Rich while many are impoverished and Dangote still get tax waivers , Tax Holiday, and Concessions while an Okada and Marwa man pay to and fro ....
Capitalism is good but it's becoming dirty and unhealthy ... Nothing last forever ... it is getting to its peak and highly threatening to Earth itself ... Ozone layer is depleting , Global Warming due to competition among Industries.... and Sophisticated research to cornered the earth to themselves by Global Powers !! Who is asking you to pay hundreds of thousands as tv and radio license? The government! Go meet them, it's not capitalism it's purely corrupt government actions. You create another thread to lament on how you hate capitalism and how it'll lead to the end and/or destruction of the world. But this thread here has little to do with capitalism. Maybe the day your government would ask you to pay for coming out from your house in the morning, you'll blame capitalism for that as well. |

Capitalism better be changed before it leads to human extinction......... Too many knowledge for human as a result of ransacking our brains for survival is destructive to our planet, animals, plants and we human ourselves !! Some of you are so good at pointing fingers at the wrong the problem. What has the government taxing individuals got to do with capitalism? Is capitalism responsible for government wanting to take away your money? If air was to be sold do you think an individual or a business would pop out and start 'selling'. It's usually the government that does things like that, individuals or businesses cannot do that. So your blame of capitalism is just total ignorance. Whatever thing you don't like must be blamed on capitalism, forgetting capitalism is basically freedom. Freedom to earna and spend as you wish. Whereas the government is here telling you how to spend. |

iyatrustee: This has been going on in Abuja for like 8yrs. The only difference now is it is affecting small businesses. Banks were mostly targeted prior to now and I can tell you as at 2013, my branch was billed N1.2mil before it was brought down to N400k.
Not everything started with Buhari's regime. Could you please explain how it all works because the report is very confusing and unclear. Who is to pay businesses, individuals or both. Also, is it compulsory? That is, what if you don't have nor listen to either radios and TVs are you also mandated to pay for a service you don't use? How does it work really? Because the whole thing defeats logic, it's totally unreasonable in my opinion even for big businesses to pay. |

360clips: definitely! Infact anyone caught practicing religion should be killed. You're suffering from the same thing you accused others of. You might even be worse. Those countries you mention still have a really sizable population that practice different types of religions. But here you are calling for the ban of religions as well as killing of people because they practiced any religion. Are you even sane? Can you listen to yourself at all? Now, put it this way; how would you feel if you live in a religious society and they propose killing of anyone who doesn't practice any religion? Do you still find the idea so appealing? Mentally slow and (mentally)lazy people have a unique approach of solving problems and that is looking for soft targets to put blames on. Because religions(Christianity in this case) obviously has no way or intention of fighting back this proposed violence. They're automatically a perfect target. |

Basically, telling Facebook as a business how they can use their business to benefit small businesses. Same goes for Google. This has been of concern to these countries for years because there's been complaints against on how they force smaller businesses as well as competitors to fail due to unfair business advantages. CaveAdullam: A Balanced analogy.
If men will be selfish with their resources---time, money and attention, women will be reordered. And if women will be selfish with their sexuality they won't become used and dumped. Both genders will now be concerned about what is most important in their lives and focus on it in order to cause progress in the extension of the human genetics and civilization at large.
Both sexes must be able to realign themselves in the proper cultural, traditional and evolutionary way they were met to be, that is, complementary to one another in pure femininity and masculinity. An unbalanced scale is the problem of our recent gender battles as a result of the truth ensconced, lies perpetrated and supported by the majority, lack of knowledge, and the government been the sole master minder of this battle.
Life is a game though, the fools must be played and manipulated, and those who knows the pros and cons of the game will leverage on the fools ignorance, step ahead and kick them side. Therefore, protect yourself!
This post is for both men and women, I will tell my sisters, brothers, friends, sons and daughters.
Ubunja, you're blessed.
Thanks for this blockbuster.
