I saw this scary video on twitter yesterday evening and i couldn't sleep all night. Even though my family is all i have.

What would have happened to the family/occupants of that building if those animals were able to breakdown that strong front door(robbed, raped, murdered)

from my exchange with you weeks ago I thought you were anti-gun, now you've seen the essence. Even the 911 won't come immediately, in the US it takes an average of 15 minutes, note that this is average some cities take much longer, 5 seconds is enough for a criminal to inflict bodily harm on an unarmed person not to talk of 15 minutes and that is in a country where things are a lot better than here.

The regular magazines of AR15 holds around 30 bullets, a shooter can carry 10-20 magazines at a time. That's around 600 rounds.


Shotguns hold 5-10 rounds in the barrel at a time. When you're out, you need to reload which can take several seconds.

So how many people can you kill with shotgun? Forget movies, you can even kill more people with sem-auto handguns than shotguns.


Finally, shotguns are for close range, 50meters.

AR-15 range is around 400metres - 600metres.

I didn't reference movies though, moreover movies will have you believe ar-15s are deadlier after all they appears to be very badass guns.

You're right about the range, but most mass shooters are never 400 meters away from their targets, infact anyone that wants to record a high number of kill will advoid unnecessary distance.

Now about rounds yes, the normal ar-15 magazine can carry many bullets than say a short gun, but do you know in Canada for decades there has been a limited number of bullet that every gun magazine can have? if I recall rightly it is a maximum of 10 rounds, violation of that is a gross criminal offense.

So the same limitation you get with a short gun you will also have with the AR, at least in Canada.

Moreover, what most people are intentionally avoiding which is the most important factor is that the guns used for these crimes are illegally gotten, they're bought from the black market, any such illegally gotten guns will never meet any of the requirements such as limitation of ammo etc, or being coverted to semi-auto from automatic.

so how will they stop criminals from getting guns from their ever willing sources?
