Namaster:I'm quoting this to to inform everyone reading that this is no joke. Everything described here happened to a relative. The man died recently and the his family is giving my relative serious troubles while she's struggling to cater for two growing kids all alone now. The man never had a good job and was always at home or trying to open his own church and failing. It's this same desperation that made my well-educated relative settle with this man. The woman should rather die alone than set herself up for such misery. |
BewareOf419:The problem with you Nigerians is that you don't read! Do you know what brought about those resistance groups? Read, man. Read! Stop feeding only on western propaganda. It's not good for your health. |
This is how I prepare mine to be smooth and not too soft. I add groundnut oil to the water I'm boiling. The water shouldn't be much. Add the Semo to a bowl, also add some water and stir until smooth, as if you're making custard. Once the water is boiling properly, add the Semo and turn. Keep adding dry Semo to the right texture you want. Now the oil we added earlier ensures the Semo doesn't stick to the pan and it's smooth too. Try and lemme know how it goes. Every since I replace garri with Semo, I've never looked back. |
My girlfriend is Venda. Met her in a Zimbabwean wedding. We're trying to navigate this tension between Nigeria and SA. |
I love how this dunderhead is getting serious beatdown in his own thread. Silly bots. |
Smartwave:You're bleeping wrong, man. The person you quoted understands the reality of things. Go out and touch grass, bro. I was seeing this well-educated Yoruba girl. Heck, she even studied Pharmacy. But this girl argued with me that Akwa Ibom is Igbo even when I told her otherwise. Till today she can't believe I neither speak nor understand Igbo. |
It's a freaking ulcer, bro. I had those symptoms when I was suffering from Gastro-esophageal disease (GED). It's the Advanced form of ulcer. |
Nonny95:This one enter sha! |
This man is missing a golden opportunity. If he watches and act along, that'd be such a happy home! Smart people watch cartoons. |
Saw this post and I recalled an incident when I was teaching Computer science in Kogi state during my NYSC placement. Told the class rep to write names of noise makers. He did and handed the list to me afterwards. As I was reeling out the names for punishment, I stumbled upon a certain all-English names and I impulsively knew he was from the south, and specifically Akwa Ibom. "Are you from Akwa Ibom?" I queried when he shuffled forward to receive his punishment. "Yes." He responded. I shook my head. Akwa Ibom people are notorious for onomastic anglicization (😂). I could have been a victim save that my grandpa was highly learned and he usually rebelled against the assimilation of some western practices. Guess I got some of my rebellious attitude from him. But I'm glad he did. Today, I'm most happy to flash my indigenous surname like a privilege badge, and will ensure I carry my people's culture forward - starting from the name. |
Nolevel666:But what's really wrong with you people? What's the correlation between what you just spewed and the current topic? How do we validate your own level of education when you can't simply stick to a topic? |
JasonScoolari:I specifically logged in to like this post. Thanks, boss for putting the nincompoop, that dreg of the society in his place! |
SultanOfAbia:Simply hold her tight, hug, cuddle, pat her on the back and send her back to sleep. That gives her the assurance and sense of being protected. You can even look her in the eye, smile and peck her on the forehead and whisper, "Go back to sleep, hun, I'm here". Naija men ain't romantic at all! |
IyaebeTheGreat:The same you that is going around emptying your bile duct all over the politics section in the name of hating Peter Obi is the same person asking this question? Like Tasllesty1 asked, if you were you will you marry you? The sight of your username brings this sort of repulsive sensation on me. I'm often always expecting you to spill hatred per post. I can never entertain any sort of feeling for a username like yours. Not in this lifetime! |
Zandena:So you're elated by the idea of an autocratic government? Then let's put democracy to bed. As you confess, Africa isn't ready for true democratic process. We're just wasting time, resources and people's lives for this faux electoral exercise. |
flokii:Please educate us on the constitution's position on this. |
gidgiddy:True. I never thought of this. But they'll get tired in the long run. Remember the story of Megamind? |
Nigeria recently conducted it's presidential elections in February, 2023 and it was marred by massive rigging, voters suppression, disenfranchisement, threat and large-scale violence. Nevertheless, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has gone ahead to announce and issued a certificate of return to the alleged winner, Sen. Bola Tinubu. In the ensuing appeal by Labor Party, INEC has flagrantly disobeyed the court order by blatantly refusing LP access to inspect electoral materials to consolidate the exhibits for their appeal. My question is: What If All Opposition Parties Withdraw from Future Electoral Processes In Protest? The idea of opposition political parties withdrawing from the electoral process due to foul play by the electoral commission is not a new phenomenon. In fact, it has happened in many countries around the world. Should political parties take this route since we have completely lost faith in the independence and neutrality of INEC? |
I used to be like you until I finally found my spec. I love intelligent and hardworking ladies, girls who are knowledgeable and can hold a conversation. To overcome this, you need to draft out the qualities and characteristics you like in a girl. Then go find that person. In the real world, you can never meet your match, so make adjustments along the way and be ready to accommodate slight differences and grow together. Most importantly, find someone that's a goal chaser, and be a goal chaser yourself and you'll derive so much fun in your relationship besides coitus. |
Go and force him to congratulate, fools! After making a mess of the people's mandate, now you want to force everyone to accept. You have done yours, we're coming with ours! |
Y'all spilling putrid in this thread should STFU! APC nor PDP can never win Akwa Ibom at this time. Besides the spillover effects from Akpabio's vote in some Northern AKS LGAs, the rest of Akwa Ibom are obidient.
|
As an Akwa Ibomite, I'm most saddened by what's going on in Akwa Ibom. I flew from Lagos to PH to vote Obi, only for my people to turn around and do a different thing. I hate the money politics and the silly practice of party loyalty going on in that state. Because some people are loyal to Godswill Akpabio, they massively voted for APC even at the detriment of the entire state. And this is the state where the governor is spending billions to building a state worship center, only for the dead-brained indigenes to be voting for an MM ticket. Well, let's await the results from the Ibibio part of Akwa Ibom. We're more educated and enlightened. |
Depends on where you live. Akesan is total blackout. Governor's road enjoy constant light. I don't about other areas. But people at Akesan don't suffer much during fuel scarcity. |
yarimo:It's not in my person to insult people on the internet, but you're a very stupid man, bro. Annoyingly stupid. |
lhordspy:I have been anonymously going through your posts on Nairaland. Despite appearing to be smart and well-lettered, your soul is darkened by extreme misanthropy for the Igbo tribe, and vengeance. What did the Igbos ever do to you? Your posts usually fill me with so much dread and trepidation, imagining what you're capable of undertaking if you had the means. Is it a crime for a citizen to seek an elective position in his own country? You claim to be a strong believer in unity, but you're strongly opposed to the only person that could reconcile the eastern tribe of Nigeria who are still battling with the memories of the Civil War and also fighting marginalisation in their own country. Mr Ihordspy, I sincerely believe that you're better than this. Take a look at yourself in the mirror and come to terms with whom you truly are. It'll be a disservice to the universe if you let this hatred consume you and all these brilliance go to waste. |
You folks should understand that visit doesn't equate endorsement, same as correlation doesn't equal causation. Peace. |
MediMedi:I used to easily lose interest in women too. In fact, my friends started warning all the ladies giving me greenlights about my misgivings. What worked for me was that I did a self evaluation to uncover what sort of ladies I'm attracted to. I discovered that I loved the intelligent ones; those that want to be independent, own their thoughts and their lives and are within the tech ecosystem. I was lucky enough to find one and fell in love for the first time in my life. Though it's never been a smooth ride, but I always have something to be proud of. This weirdo actually fell in love ! |
ibinaboonline:While feigning romance, you can playfully fold a paper around her finger and repeat many times so she won't suspect any play. Keep a mark where both ends of the paper meets, and use that to gauge the ring size when you go shopping. Congratulations, boss! |
LadyD22: ![]() You're a weirdo and I'd love to meet my kind! |
