Crime / 7 Vital Lessons To Learn From A Bank Robbery by HerexG(m): 6:50pm On Feb 09, 2016
1. Mind Changing Concept: During a robbery, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: “Don’t move. The money belongs to the State. Your life belongs to you.” Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called “Mind Changing Concept” Changing the conventional way of thinking.

2. Being Professional: When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: “Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!” This is called “Being Professional” Focus only on what you are trained to do!

3. Experience: When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): “Big brother, let’s count how much we got.” The older robber rebutted and said: “You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!” This is called “Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!

4. Converting an unfavorable: After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: “Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”. This is called “Swim with the tide.” Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!

5. Killing Boredom: The supervisor says, “It will be good if there is a robbery every month.” This is called “Killing Boredom.” Personal Happiness is more important than your job.

6. Knowledge is worth as much as gold: The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained: “We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!” This is called “Knowledge is worth as much as gold!”

7. Seizing the opportunity: The bank manager was smiling and happy because his losses in the share market are now covered by this robbery. This is called “Seizing the opportunity.” Daring to take risks! So who are the real robbers here?

Djhack1:
Good evening Distinguished chairman, Distinguished panel of judges, ever present moderators and coordinators of this great and impacting online essay competition, my co-debtors and awesome readers. All protocols dully observed, I am Djhack, a student of Project management department of the Federal University of Technology Minna, representing Futminna in this debate. I am here to support the topic which says, Open university (online university or distant learning) the panacea to Nigeria literacy challenges. I will briefly like to define the terms of the topic. Distance education is a field of education that focuses on teaching methods and technology with the aim of delivering teaching, often on an individual basis, to students who are not physically present in a traditional setting such as a classroom. In Nigeria, the emergence of distance education dates back to external examinations organised by Universities of London, Cambridge and Oxford, which provided opportunities for Nigerians wishing to acquire western education. Although these universities allowed Nigerians to take examinations, none of them provided tuition to prepare students for its examinations.

Therefore, the need to fill the gap created due to lack of tuition led to the patronage of correspondence institutions abroad by Nigerians. Thus, early Nigerian graduates went through the University of London correspondence institution examinations. During this period, other Nigerians took advantage of correspondence courses offered by British institutions such as Rapid Results College and Wosley Hall to acquire their general certificate in education which was a prerequisite for admission into university.

The first official recognition of distance education by the Nigerian government came in 1959 when as a prelude towards independence; the Federal Ministry of Education inaugurated the Ashby Commission. The Ashby Report submitted in 1960, recommended the establishment of University of Lagos with a department for correspondence courses. Later on, some universities such as University of Ibadan and Ahmadu Bello University were providing extension services to their catchment areas. The Ahmadu Bello University Institute of Education also introduced the Teacher in –Service Education Programme to raise the quantity and quality of teachers in Northern Nigeria. According to Adegbite and Oyekanmi (2010), the University of Ibadan also inaugurated distance education in 1988 in an attempt to meet the needs of the ever increasing applicants for university education through distance learning programme.

When the National Council of Education ruled that the National Certificate of Education (NCE) should be the minimum qualification for teaching at primary school level, the Ahmadu Bello University Institute of Education, started the NCE by correspondence programme. The launching of the Universal Primary Education in 1976 led to further recognition of the distance learning mode as a veritable means of promoting teacher education.

Towards this end, National Teachers Institute (NTI) was established by the Federal Government in 1976 as the first institution providing distance education courses designed to upgrade under-qualified and unqualified teachers.
An attempt to establish an Open University in Abuja was truncated and was replaced with a dual-mode institution established as the University of Abuja. At the University of Abuja, the Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDLCE) was set up and mandated to provide distance education component of every programme that the University would provide. However, the strong commitment of the Federal Government to distance education led to the establishment of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in 2002.

As of today, the National Universities Commission has approved the following universities as dual mode institutions; namely: University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, University of Abuja, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Maiduguri and Federal University of Technology, Yola. The dual mode institutions combine both the conventional and distance education programmes. In some of these institutions students come for residential programmes when the regular students are on vacation. Only the National Open University of Nigeria is the only uni-mode University in Nigeria. The National Teachers Institute is another type dedicated to distance learning in Nigeria.

However, shortages in critical areas of manpower demand, the need to meet unsatisfied demand for higher education as well ability to acquire further education while on the job make distance education imperative and important in Nigeria today. The Commonwealth of Learning International (2001) identified major reasons for strong and growing institutional commitment to distance education in Nigeria as follows, Institutions see potential for it to expand their reach and scale of operations, They regard distance education programmes as a strategy to absorb large number of students who cannot currently be placed in face-to-face programmes due to their various responsibilities, They see it as a means to provide education to working students and adults of all age group in Nigeria.

The revised National Policy on Education (2004) articulated the goals of open and distance education as to Provide access to quality education and equity in educational opportunities for those who otherwise would have been denied, Meet special needs of employers by mounting special certificate courses for their employees at their work place, Encourage internationalization especially tertiary education curricula, Ameliorate the effect of internal and external brain drain in tertiary institutions by utilizing experts as teachers regardless of their locations or places of work,
The demand for university education and on the job training remains unabated in Nigeria.

According to Aderinoye (2002) the imperativeness of distance open education could be rested on its ability “to provide dual mode learning processes that will take care of the educational needs of those that are qualified for university education but could not be accommodated for lack of space in the existing tertiary institutions. The desire of this category of students that are locked out of universities, despite the possession of minimum entry requirements can only be realized through open and distance education. This is because the issue of carrying capacity is alien to open and distance education. With deployment of modern technology, it is possible for a single open and distance learning university to absorb all students currently enrolled in all Nigerian universities as well as those that are denied admission because of lack of space.
Why choose distance learning? the benefits of distance learning are that it allows the students to fit the learning around work and home life, the students can study at their own pace and doesn’t matter where you stay in Nigeria. As with a full time degree, students may find that they gain useful, transferable skills such as planning and research and it costs less than a full time degree.

In conclusion, the federal and state government of the federation place high premium on education in Nigeria, the recognize it as a weapon against ignorance and as a means of raising an enlightened, lively and very industrious citizenry in order to reduce the rate of illiteracy in Nigeria. Distance learning should be given the full support its needs in terms of favourable policies and finances to educational institutions to promote and upgrade their canters of learning, administrative training of instructors, the future of distance learning and education in Nigeria as a whole will be bright and it will be shown with the increase in the number of students enrolling in distance learning classes, and has a greater potential to deliver educational opportunities to less privileged Nigerians and for a prosperous future. Thank you.

for someone with O level, there are distance learning courses that are been taught only on weekends, for someone like that, they have to work part time during the week and sponsor themselves for the weekends schooling.

You seem not to understand my question well, the person is working but still earn so little how then would such person afford the high fees of distance learning, don't you think the aim of establishing the institution is defeated if the unlearned can't afford it.

TopeQs:
Good day Mr. Chairman, erudite judges, the coordinators, the moderators, accurate time
keeper, distinguished audience.

my name is TopeQs, representing Futminna. I'm here to support the notion that Open University (or Online University or Distant Learning) is the panacea to Nigeria's Literacy Challenges. Before I go any further, I'll like to explain what is, distance learning is a method of studying in which lectures are broadcast or lessons are conducted by correspondence, without the student needing to attend a school or college, and according to Wikipedia, distance education or distance learning is the education of students who are not physically present at a
school. Courses that are conducted partly through distance education and partly on-site are referred to as hybrid or blended education.
Distance education solve a lot when it comes to improving literacy challenges. It makes it easier for a determined learner, especially the working class ones, to be able to split his/her tight schedule to be able to get learning

Moreover, this distance learning also helps those whose only chance of getting a degree is the internet as it reduces the cost of this type of education sometimes as it becomes easier to get a degree from a foreign university, here in Nigeria through the internet. .

According to a research in the UK. . Benefits of Distance Learning
Attaining a higher education qualification opens up new opportunities in life and at work. Our students tell us that they have achieved promotions, pay rises, increased confidence or job security. All as a result of studying their qualification via distance learning. Here are a few of the benefits you can also achieve:
1. A UK university qualification that is held in high esteem worldwide.
2. Flexibility to balance work, life and your studies together.
3. Up to 60% less academic fees than UK universities and other distance learning providers.
4. Significant career return on investment as you do not have to take a break from work to study.
5. Contextualise your learning and put theory into practice in the workplace – an extremely attractive attribute to employers.
6. Browse all your learning materials, access discussion forums and interact with fellow students and tutors whenever and wherever you choose. Access everything you need via your iPhone, iPad or Kindle, using ilearn – RDI’s virtual learning environment.
7. Employer commendation for your ability to focus and apply yourself, and for the valuable work experience you have gained throughout your studies.
8. Share knowledge and experience with students across the globe, building your professional network.
9. Membership of the International Management Academy and all the career-enhancing benefits that go with this worldwide academic community.
10. Tap into Professional Career Pathways that help you map out your career goals and achieve them.

However The main advantage of distance learning is that it allows you to fit your
learning around your work and home life. You can usually also set your own pace of study. It is your decision as to when and where you study. It doesn't matter where you live – you can gain a degree from anywhere in the world.

Studying by distance learning has the benefit of allowing you to develop your career without having to leave employment. It also means that you can apply new knowledge and insights to your working life while you are still studying, with many students choosing to tackle work-related topics in their dissertations.

Distance learning in Nigeria increases literacy, time has always been a thing everybody don't seem to have much of so when we get to work, school at the same time it also.helps very much as people who claim the reason they do not So want to go back to school is because they do not wanna quit their job, then distance learning comes in to that effect.

Well done TopeQs, nice piece you have got there.
You seem to have stressed more on working class people who still want to be educated , now my question is how will someone working with an O level qualification, earning so low, be able to afford the high Distance or Open university fees ?

Romance / The Five Main Factors That Makes A Lady Unattractive by HerexG(m): 1:45pm On Jan 26, 2016
Don’t get it twisted, being attractive goes beyond looks, it is a vital virtue a lady must have. It is the force that will develop the desire of people craving to get close to you, but there are some factors that would hinder it all. Week in week out some ladies don’t make new friends, they will keep wondering why people are not coming close to them. Ladies, the solution is not far fetched, here are five main factors that make a lady unattractive, so kindly read up and let’s get Nigeria lighted up with more attractive ladies. If you don’t want the world to pass you by, you should be attractive….

1. Lack of Confident: it is believed that whatever you have inside of you is what would reflect outwardly, having confidence is an inside factor, that will reflect on you outwardly, it is a factor that cannot be hidden. Now show me a lady that’s got good confidence in herself and I will show you a magnetic lady, she attracts anything in her range of reach. The confidence doesn’t only work for her looks alone, but also in her choice of field or career. These are the kind of ladies you find in the marketing department of most firms, they are highly sort after. Lacking confidence in life repels just like two south pole magnet faced together most especially when you are a lady, the only people you get attracted to yourself most times as a lady who lacks confidence are people most especially men who wants to take advantage of you, and most times they zap when they have gotten what they want from you. So ladies develop all that confidence well enough and get them all attracted to you like ants are attracted to sweets.

2. Poor Hygiene: I will like to share a personal experience I had with a lady with a bad hygiene, just last year I met a girl who got me attracted with her personality and confidence, so I strike up a conversation with her, we got close to each other. So then one day I invited her over, she eventually came and we got talking, so I accidentally moved closer to her, Lawd have mercy! I was highly disappointed at the offensive odor I perceived from her, immediately she became unattractive to me even though she has got all the specs I need in a lady. I faked a call and discharged her, till date the lady kept wondering why I stopped contacting her. Having a good hygiene goes beyond making stylish hair, putting on a clean and smart clothing, keeping your nails neat and your undies clean, the way you smell gives people an idea of how hygienic you are. Make your hygiene a priority to you today to remain a top notch attractive lady.

3. Selfish: Personally, I do away with the “me” “me” kind of ladies, they know nothing else but themselves, you will most times find words like “Me” and “I” in their choice of words, selflessness is not in their dictionary. They are the attention seeking kind of girls, they want the world radar to be on them alone and they easily get depressed when the attention they seek is not forthcoming. A selfless service most times attracts the right kind of people to you but selfishness repels.

4. Bad Character: You will all agree with me that no one will ever want to get close to a lady with bad a character except her mom; they will try to avoid her as much as they can. No one is born with a good character, in fact, our environment teaches us to be hostile and insensitive, but as a lady who wants to achieve meaningful things out of life you need to learn how to become a lady with a great character. After you have attracted them with your looks, confidence, fashion, what would actually make them stay and keep coming back to you is your character.

5. Weak Fashion Scope: Picture speaks louder than voice; people get attracted to whatever is pleasant to the eyes. When they can’t come close to you; let your fashion speak for you. I’m not saying you should buy up all the most expensive fashion materials; they are lots of affordable and good fashion materials out there you can buy. What really matters in fashion scope is the combination; thank goodness there a lot fashion websites and materials that can help you step up your fashion game. You are not a boy, so stop having that Tomboy looks, dress like a lady because dressing like a lady makes you look more attractive except you are the man. Aside from entertaining us, I want to see the famous Nollywood actress Rita Dominic help a lot of our ladies with her mind blowing fashion tips. Always remember that you dress the way you want to be addressed.

The win win game begins with how attractive and appealing you are, so be more attractive and get the world at your finger tip today……

Romance / 5 Practical Techniques To Check If Your Vagina Is Loose by HerexG(m): 2:39pm On Jan 21, 2016
Many might feel comfortable with what I want to discuss today, but the reality is that this actually is an issue most women worry about across globally, a good number of women suffer from the issue of a loose vagina at some point in their life.

Loose vagina is a striking issue to worry about, because it makes it hard for women to reach their climax as a result of the reduction of friction between the vagina and the penis. It also affects the women psychologically, causing them loose confidence in engaging in sexual intercourse. The other day one lady complained online about how loose her vagina is, requesting for people to fund her surgery in getting her genitals tight again.

There are a thousand reasons why a woman can end up with a loose vagina, this is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. The most common cause for loose lady bits among women is child bearing. But note that this isn’t a law, but the more a lady delivers a child, the greater her chances of having a sagging vagina. If you are worried that your vagina might be stretched, here are 5 signs that you should look out for.

1. Urinary stress infection: Majority of women who lose tightness of their vigina, experience urine leakage commonly known as stress incontinence. This is an embarrassing condition that occurs when the muscles that control the release of urine and support the bladder become weak. Pelvic floor muscles can weaken as you age or after menopause owing to low levels of estrogen. Childbirth, injury to your urethra and pelvic surgery can also make these muscles weak. Stress incontinence differs from common incontinence in that you leak urine when you do activities that can increase stress on the bladder such as lifting heavy objects, laughing and sneezing. The risks of developing stress incontinence increase with pregnancy because childbirth is the primary trigger for a feeble pelvic floor. Other factors that can aggravate the signs and increase the risk of stress incontinence include obesity, excess urine from diabetes, frequent coughing and urinary tract infection.

2. Difficulty gripping your index finger: Simply slide your forefinger into your vagina and clasp it with the labia by contracting the muscles. Then insert your index and middle fingers to assess tightness as compared to a single finger. If you can insert your ring, middle, and index finger hold together and cannot feel anything, then it is most likely that you’re loose. The good news is that there are ways in which loose vaginas can be tightened again without surgery, there are several exercises and natural remedies you could use in getting your vagina tight again.

3. Trouble with orgasm: When you realize that you have difficulties achieving orgasm, it may be a symptom that you’re loose. An orgasm, also called climax, is the peak of a sexual response cycle, and is usually the result of intense sexual stimulation. It generally requires a lengthy, sustained stimulation, particularly when you are first beginning to explore it. An orgasm is typically considered satisfying, and will be followed by contractions in the pelvic muscles. Failing to reach orgasm shouldn’t be the case, particularly since a vast majority of women are capable of achieving multiple orgasms. The gains of a tighter vagina both for you and your partner are certainly precious of note. With a tighter vagina, you won’t have any trouble reaching orgasms. As a matter of fact, you will reach multiple earth shattering orgasms. In addition to this, you would also be capable of detecting and controlling orgasm whenever it approaches.

4. Insensitivity with smaller objects: When you aren’t satisfied by anything that is slithered into your vagina and you have a hard time feeling stimulated, chances are you’re stretched. Most people don’t know this, but inserting a larger object so as to feel stimulation is not a solution to their problems. While larger objects will bring you some pleasures, but at the long run worsen problem in. There are various techniques that work to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. The single most popular technique is vaginal exercises (Kegel) that can help in making you tighter.

5. Reduced sexual pleasure: You have a loose vagina if you don’t have a lot of sensation from intercourse anymore, and your partner does not seem to enjoy it. A healthy sex life is similar to having a healthy lifestyle. What makes up a healthy sex life for one pair may be different from what another pair desires. However, all women desire to be tighter which allows good pleasure of sexual activity. One is guaranteed, all men will never be bored with a lady who is tight.

As i mentioned earlier, just because a stretched vagina is a threat to your marriage does not mean that you can’t overcome it. Even better, the many tightening techniques out there will help you and your partner to enjoy intercourse more. For better result, see this as a fun activity, rather than something you must do because you are tensed or in pressure. You aren’t! If you realize that you have any of these signs, your vagina may be a bit loose but take heart. You can visit a gynecologist for a check up to see if some tightening will be required.

Monalisa185:

Op, first of all, sorry I had to quote the whole post, I'm not a fan of 'quoting a whole post' just to make a point.

that's by the way, you've got a nice write-up, well composed, no doubt...but I couldn't over-look just one thing, the bolded...you didn't have to make those on the slim side feel bad just for the others to feel good...

you might feel that the statement is inconsequential and could easily be over-looked, but there's a better way to balance your write-up and avoid hurting both parties... #justsayingtho

My dear is nothing serious, its just a comical relieve in literature grin or are you a slim lady advocating for the of lepas ? Thanks for the commendation too, you are mouthed

Some people call them all sorts of names ranging from “Orobo”, “Fatty bom bom”, Fat girl etc. But I prefer to call them Big Bold and Women BBW, the society most times are not fair to the big ladies, they tend to look at them awkwardly, call them all sorts of negative names which demoralize most of these ladies socially. All these in the other hand affect these ladies psychologically; making most of them adopt a lukewarm character, poor social life style and even some are not caring about their looks anymore. My dear Big Bold and Beautiful Women here are tips to get you out of your shell, smarter and more beautiful….

1. Package : As BBW is a fact that is there a lot of flesh, the mistake most ladies do is leaving those flesh sagging and looking flabby all day long. The human body is like an art work you can always carve and shape it to the size you want; all you need do is to follow the principles of body structuring. There are a whole lot of good body shapers out there you can actually buy; they help conceal that excess beautiful flesh in your tummy region and the waist line. And a continued usage would thicken the muscle of the flesh and make the flesh look firmer and more beautiful, these body shapers will not only tighten your muscles but make you look smarter in your clothing’s and out fits. You checkout how smart looking “Chigirl” is, not saying she uses body sharpers o biko !

2. Carriage: Don’t allow those beautiful big body of yours look like a load you drag everyday while walking, you see a good number of these lovely women walking as though they are carrying the world on their head . Choose to carry yourself smartly no matter what the size of your body is, you own the body, carry it gracefully and with pride, this would automatically shot down potential jesters or those who feel they can intimidate. Checkout Eniola Badmus carriage you will love her

3. Good Hygiene :
This is not subjected to the big ladies alone, we all need good hygiene but the BBW ladies needs it more, never leave home without using your deodorant and wearing your perfume if available but deodorant is a must. Taking a regular bath is not contestable, because scientifically the big people perspire , of course we all know that a regular and a good deodorant would minimize the aftermath of perspiration, so it’s a must have.

4. Diet : When most people hears that you are dieting where their minds goes immediately is weight-loss, yes dieting is an effective way to go about weight-loss but it’s also a very important healthy lifestyle procedure. It is well known that the big size person has a higher risk of suffering from heart attack, heart failure, fat clogging in the arteries etc. In order curb all these unwanted health issues as a BBW, start and maintain a good eating habit, if possible cut all forms of carbs, processed foods, sugar to its nearest minimum. Eat more of veggies and healthy proteins, if your inside is healthy it will surely show outwardly, just like the popularly saying “you are what you eat”.

5. Trek or Workout: If you are not in a hurry to be in a particular place that is not too far, it is advisable to trek. Journeying by foot would do you a lot good,

1. It would help maintain blood circulation
2. Help to firm up the muscles in the thighs, leg and arm region as you swing them
3. Very essential for weight loss too
Some would not want to trek because of sweating, but we all fail to realize that perspiring is a natural phenomenon that is needed in the body. For those without cars instead of mounting an “Okada” trek, instead of boarding a “Keke NAPEP” TREK! And for those with cars, find a means to trek or workout, because it is very necessary, for a healthy lifestyle.

6. Confidence: Every tips listed above would be made not effective without confidence, it is the feeling or expression of certainty, meaning you are certain that you are Beautiful Bold and Smart (BBS). There are two BBW ladies I have always admired their confidence, poise and carriage is “Lepacious Bose” and “Chigirl”. Those ladies are something else; the kind of confidence that exudes out of them is breathtaking and bankable. So it’s either you confident or your social lifestyle is refrained.

7. Be Sexy: BBW ladies please don’t leave looking sexy for those toothpick sorry slim ladies; you have got much sumptuous flesh on ground to offer. Leave those men drooling at your beautiful and sexy figure that can make a born again backslide… So you go all dem BBW ladies! And let your shine on!
