I am so angry right now but i just want you opinion before i would do the unthinkable.

My younger brother saved up 2million naira to buy a car Corolla X(2007), truth is that he did not tell me before he made the decision of sending someone to lagos to buy the car, however he said he build trust because the guys (buyer) is a colleague and he bought a corolla 2010 for a colleague reason he gave him the money.

Reaching to Lagos according to him, he said he called the said man severally and it was difficult for him to pick his calls, when he does pick, he would say that there is no network or that he is charging his phone. Ok...send pictures of the cars you have seen he didn't. We tried even by video calling him, he never answered any of the video calls. The 3 cars he sent the pictures where by the roadside, this is someone that has 2million naira with him o. We espected to see him take pictures around car dealerships.

To cut the whole story short, the man came back with one of the pictures of the cars he sent only one picture of after several pleas for him to send more of the pictures so as to ascertain wether to make decision or not(picture attached). Findings after the car touched down PH on sunday were as follows;

1. The car is a badly repainted one. Whoever did the repainting did a terrible job that even other parts of the car had spill over paints on them
2. The driver's window does not wind smoothly, it drags itself up/down.
3. The car has an unclean interior, like a car that just left mechanic, nothing so neat about it
4. Dash board is so nothing to write home about, so scratched and old
5. Opened the bonnet and found sprayed paints on eventally every other parts of the components there.
6. The car did not come with alloy wheels for a car of 2million naira
7. The car does not have a spare key for a car of that amount.
8. The central lock does not work. you have to come down and lock all the does one after the other for a new car.
9. He claims the car is direct tokumbo(which we actually wanted) but that very one looks not it and disgusting
10. The engine has a sharp whistle as you drive which increases and decreases as it revs up/down
11. There is this noisy sound from the hubs which you can hear as you drive, which he's saying you can change hub that it is not a problem, for a new car of 2million naira, someone is changing hub again.

After all this discovery at test run, we gave him back the car for him to resell and give us back our money as we are rejecting and have nothing to do with that car or he brings us another car.

My question is how do i know if the car has been registered in this country before, cos i suspected the car is a nigerian used car as the smell of foregin something doesn't even attack you as you open the doors.

I am so angry now, i might render some children fatherless. People are so mean in this country.

NB: He was given accormodation money, 50k for the movement, feeding money for 2days.

Around this tym 2years ago i was in such accident, the siena SUV was doing 140km/h and all of a sudden there was a blast...one of the tyres was blown. The kinda summersaults we had that day left both of my clavicle (neckbones) fractured. Thank God it was just that, atleast I'm still alive typing this.

Always go round the vehicles to look at the tyres. Plus if the driver has too much load, it suffers the tyres and such blast are sure to come

Very mad rate....i got it the last time and swore never to get the loan from them again. Infact due to annoyance, i refused to pay them the money. That 8k is way too much and depressing. Plus they would give you 28days...28days. As you repay your loand and qualify for bigger loans, they would get mad at your coperation and next is increase interest rate. Branch is most useless. I thing the best of them all is Paylater(carbon now). Generally if you can do anything to stay outter loan, please do and save yourself the stress.

A 28k loan to pay back 36k after two months.
A whole 8k? Branch has the best app for easy use but they're not cheap.

Taking a loan to rent and furnish a house is something an unwise man would do. I don't mean to insult you, but asking this question at 31 means you've not been learning much about money.

You don't take up loans to spend on frivolity. Let me help you. Your salary is N120, a standard self-contain in PH should cost you 150k, but below 200k depending on location. You remain in your friend's house if there are no issues for another 2months while you save up to get the house. You take your time to furnish your house from subsequent rent and also save up from what you can.

If you must embark on a loan, invest it into a side business.

I have actually done a couple of businesses but to be frank, i wasted the money. I'm really kinda scared of loosing money again. You know what it means opening a business that you won't be there to run, you keep paying bills and not making any profit. I just want enjoy my money small inside life before i die. I don too waste am for side hustle

I rececently got a job in Ph, the pay is ok and you know PH na...You spend it as you earn it. I currently earn 120k but truth is i have been squatting with my friend but i want to leave him and get my own apartment. I'm 31 and also making strong plans to marry latest next year. Thing is i want to go for a loan and get an apartment and furnish it. 1bedroom flat here is 300k and i am almost concluding on going for the loan for the house. Please is it adviceable to rent and furnish a house with a loan.

Bros you no go understand. How i suffered after that sack. For one full year i was crying and hustling. My pain was that people who committed gravier crimes weren't even talked to, highest them go suspend them. I even begged them for suspension dem no gree.

The UGLY
I was disengaged from my previous place of work, it was a private university in Enugu and situated around Thinkers Corner. While i was there, i worked as an IT support Staff and later became a lecturer.

The BAD
As an IT staff in 2012 with Salary of 23k per month, it wasn't so bad for me then cause i was serving in the mentioned University as at that time. So when i finally finished serving there i was retained, two years later the salary was increased to 56k and i go with 52k after their deductions. I worked there until 2017 before my unfortunate disengagement. Why was i disengaged?...It's actually a long story but i would try to cut it short. After a seminar organised by the IT department of the University for the lecturers, as a facilitator, i wowed the Lecturers who were our pariticipants, they were overwhelmed by my performance and decided that i should be in the class room because i got so much knowledge. They were like I shouldn't be in the IT Unit alone, that i got a filled brain and the information i have is actually looking for were to escape to ...(i'm not being proud tho, just giving you my CV subtly), plus i got a very good communication skill.

After that seminar i was given a GST course to take 100lvl stds on Use of Computer. Eventhough some lecturers i mean those who where handling the course before i was asked to take it were not happy cos i took away their source of side hustle (you know what i mean), but it was finally concluded that i take the course as the VC got to hear about the whole gist and gave the final order. Fast forward 2016 i felt i was being under utilized so i decided to look elsewhere perhaps add up a side hussle as the money i earned wasn't solving all my needs. Ok I finally got a Job with NCC (but in DBI) as a facilitator for a program they give all tertiary institutions in the country code named ADAPTI. The side hustle paid a mouth watering wage, but this side hussle was not steady and was a parttime job. You would only be paid for the weeks you are engaged. So i took it, did the job couple of times. I messed up couple of times too, i admit, cos i missed classes due to the fact that the colleagues i asked to cover me(take my class) defaulted. So lastly i missed an invigilation as a result of thesame reason and i was disengaged. I begged oo, that i will not do it again , for were, them no gree. So after a year of joblessness and hunger...

The GOOD
God answered my prayers. I got a new job in Port Harcout in the Oil and Gas sector with 3times my monthly salary in the said University with so many benefits...lols. Eventhough i got the job since last year, i have not been able to forgive those people especially their Registrar and VC. Infact i feel like writing a letter to them thanking them for not have harkened to my plea while i was crying and begging them.

Your ADVICE
Should i write them that letter or just forget, to be honest i have written the letter of Thank you and explained politely that i'm finally where i should be in the letter but need peoples opinions before sending it.
