One year after I started freelance writing, I knew I would never ever in my life work for any organisation in Nigeria as a paid employee.

Even if I were to work, it would be in a skilled capacity and above middle-management.

But this thing is not a get-rich-quick-scheme. It does need high-levels of commitment and attention to details. Anyone who puts their mind to it can learn. In the coming years, I would completely leave the freelance scene once I have my own operations running. However, the knowledge I have now as regards the internet economy is something I would never have been able to acquire working in a 9-5 job.

The world of freelance work is reportedly worth $200 billion according to a report by Hubstaff.com/Accenture. 35% of US work-force are remote workers, 20% and 18% for the UK and India respectively. These figures can only but grow.

We can bring in billions of dollars into our economy if we massively embrace freelancing.

Today, I went food shopping and blew more than my entire two month salary at my previous job on groceries and other needed household needs. Some of the items for me, some for my mom, gifts for my niblings. I didn't even think about the money. In my mind, I was like "thank you Tim Lee Berners, Steve Kassriel, oyibo people, thank" you!" with smiles all over my face. The cashier noticed and asked me, "what is making you look so happy?"

I don't know how it happened my phone keypad was changed and when I tried to get back to the previous keypad I couldn't reapply the theme so I finally uninstalled it and re-downloaded the keypad. Now the new keypad has ads at the top of it. It sometimes makes changes I don't want plus I mistakenly tap the ad and I'm being redirected to PlayStore. I just hate it I feel like breaking my phone when I unintentionally touch d ads bar. Please any way I can get rid of the ads thanks you

The money I managed to save while working and the one they paid me off with I invested in a business. Truth is the business is power intensive. And now electricity in my area of business is so poor. I hardly meet up with promise as it's a laundry business I do. The business is collapsing and I barely feed. Please I need your help my head is so full as I can barely sleep. I've been working there since 2013. Lautech Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso had never been well funded by the state government. The hospital is fully owned by the Oyo State government and we're owed 14 months salaries. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Azeez Adeduntan who's also the Board Chairman has been doing everything to sack people in the hospital in order to please Ajimobi because of his personal gubernatorial ambition.


In my office, I'm the only one left. All my friends were sacked for no good reason. They're all competent, hardworking and productive but this is Nigeria where nobody fights for the weak. God will fight for us.
