Hello readers,
My name is Jackson Ogbonna, a 300level student of economics, University of Ibadan. I am a concerned student and a friend of Dami.

This is a passionate appeal to my fellow students, my mummies and daddies in management, and the general public. I am concerned about my friend, Dami, a 100level student of Philosophy, University of Ibadan. I fear for her wellbeing. I fear for her life.
I believe she needs help. Dami is barely 17years old. She’s a young lady with a bright future ahead of her. But I’m afraid she and is being influenced by some malicious elements.

In my opinion, Dami is passing through a stage in her life that is characterized by a high level of youthful exuberance. Everyone passes through this phase at one time or the other. For some, it comes quite early in life (before teenagehood) and for others (like Dami) it comes later in life.

Lemme tell you a story. I too was a victim of youthful exuberance. Among the many manifestations of such exuberance was theft. And I was very good at it. And quite frankly, I enjoyed it. I felt I was living large. I was beginning to see a life of theft as an ideal lfe. But my story changed on that very day I was caught by my neighbour. It was in the morning. I still remember the “dirty slaps” and flogging I received that day. My parents weren’t even around.
Someone would have thought that at my age, I should have known right from wrong. But what happens when one believes that wrong is right and right is wrong? Even Shakespeare said it that there is nothing right or wrong. Only thinking madng right or wrong. Only thinking made it so.

One of the reasons I overcame this challenge was because the first set of people to discipline me were also the first to counsel me. Indeed, I am a living product of the proverb that says that when elders use their right hand to beat a child, they should use the left to correct that child. My Aunt left Ikoji every weekend for about 3 months just to come and check up on me. This was the same Aunty that slapped me on that fateful morning and my nose started bleeding. I admit, it was really difficult to change.

There were times I nearly fell back into the hole. But I didn’t. Not because I was perfect. But because I had people around me. People that never gave up on me. People that were on my matter 24/7
Look at me now. If I could change, I believe Dami can too. But she can’t do it alone. She needs our help. Gossiping about her, or casting aspersions at her will not help.

I remember Imabong (May her loving soul rest in perfect peace). She was a student of Law at the same Univeristy as Dami, in the same level as Dami, and in the same age bracket as Dami. Imabong died because of the same peer pressure and malignant influence.

But we can make sure that history doesn’t repeat itself. It’s not too late to save my friend, to save Dami. I believe this is God’s work in motion. I can’t imagine what would have happened to Mary Magdalene had Jesus condemned her too.

He wants us to save Dami. He doesn’t her to die before her time. He doesn’t want another 100level student of UI to die again because we chose to ignore her in her darkest hour. He has a bright plan for her future.

To my fellow students, let us rally round her. Not in contempt, but in love. Let us show her that we care. Let us show her that we are one family (the UI family). Let us check up on her frequently. Let us offer benign advice. Let us help Dami during this dark moment in her life.

To our mummies and daddies in management, Dami needs you more than ever. There is an African saying that goes thus, “A child has more than one father and one mother” I believe she need more parental guidance and counselling than punishment (suspension/rustication/SDC) at the moment.

To the general public, let us put Dami in our prayers. For it is only God that can touch her heart.

Self acclaimed Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has taken to social media to shade the heck out of OAP Daddy Freeze over his tithing controversy.

The actor who shared a picture collage of himself alongside Apostle Suleiman and Daddy Freeze, disclosed that Nigerians will take Freeze more seriously if he fixes his marriage with his first wife and mother of his two kids, Opeyemi.

The Inspector General of Police, Idris Ibrahim, has described as 'Untrue and Unfounded, pure fabrications' a report published by Punch where he allegedly said that he is free to have a romantic relationship with any police officer.

Recall that Senator Misau whom the IG is having a running battle with, had on October 4th, told members of the Senate that the IG impregnated a female officer and hurriedly got married to her. According to Misau, romantic relationship involving police officers is against the rules of engagement in the force.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, says that the report by Punch is a false and baseless.

It is a mischievous attempt to mislead and misinform members of the Public and as well cast aspersions on the person and hard earned reputation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris NPM, mni.

What the IGP said in the document submitted to the Senate Ad-hoc committee investigating the spurious allegation against the IGP is that no law stops a Police Officer in Service to marry another Police Officer on an Officer cadre.

He never said I'm free to have romantic affairs with Police women.
Members of the public are implored to disregard and discountenance the story in its entirety.

Nigerian Gay activist, Bisi Alimi, in a new post on social media, has agitated for the release of Nigerian cross dresser, Bobrisky after his arrest yesterday in Lagos.

It was alleged that celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani accused him of stealing her cream and customers and thus, decided to put him to justice by having him arrested. This claim has since been denied by the stylist which leaves people thinking if maybe he was arrested because he came out as gay few days ago.

Bisi Alimi has now reacted to the saga saying his arrest is useless because being gay is not a crime in Nigeria.

He shared on social media:

Bobrisky is currently trending on Social Media right now, after news about his arrest was first published by IB9ja.

According to initial report, it was said his arrest was in connection with a social media war he had with entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani.

Now, according to new findings, a call was put through to Toyin Lawani, and her personal assistant who spoke to LIB said; “please she has nothing to do with that. You peoople should stop linking her to it”.
Another close associate to Toyin Lawani confirms her claim saying, ‘Toyin won’t stoop so low’.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Famous Cole, was also reached on phone but he said “I’m not aware of such arrest at the moment. Maybe he was invited for questioning or he went voluntarily to make a complaint’.

From the photos circulating (Pictured Above), Bobrisky is without any footwear and he looks visibly distraught which clearly means he didn’t go there voluntarily. He’s also not reachable at the moment as his mobile phone is switched off.LIB Reports.

A source however said that Bobrisky’s arrest may be connected to his social media post yesterday where he came out as ‘GAY’, a criminal offence with a 14-year jail term in Lagos State.

I think she said the truth.. Most newbies are after making money and in the cause of that pursuit, end up lifting post from other blogs, even when it's unrelated to his or her niche.. Another aspect is trying to copy a competitor's blog design.. They think by having the same design with a successful blog will guarantee success. That's BS.

To make it in this era.. You've got to be different. Do what you're passionate and let the world hear your voice. That's what blogging is all about. It's not magic or luck, do it right and you'll get it right. Another aspect is seo.. Anyone who's blogging now but knows nothing about SEO is on a long thing lol.. When you're tired of sharing, that's when Google becomes a friend. No mater how passionate you are, that zeal will demnish if the views continues being low.. When I started my blog, the zeal was overwhelming and I keep sharing my post everywhere.. Now, I don't even have the strength to share.. I'm now as lazy as the word.. But I'm still blogging cause google have been merciful..Content and seo is king.
