Many young Nigerians in diaspora have sworn to totally ruin the image of this country. Tomorrow they will complain of racism etc.

I think what our youths need at this moment is mental revolution.

CeeCyrils:
Hi guys,
For some of us here that have written their tests, kindly give me cues on these:

For listening and reading, will they be the same test for everyone in the test center on that day? (Standard and UKVI)

For writing, will there be an availability of extra sheets or each candidate is constrained to one sheet for task 1 &2?

If there is a mechanical hitch (which I don't pray for) will there be extra time?

Finally, will there be space for 'pooing' or 'weeing'?

Kindly answer.

Listening is the same for everyone, reading is different, writing task 1 is also different.

There will be provision for extra sheet if there's need for it.

Mechanical hitch? I didn't experience one and I don't know what the possible outcome will be.

You will be advised to pee/poo before being checked into the hall. After checking you in, you will not be allowed to leave the hall, so restrict your fluid intake. They can only allow you to leave the hall during reading and writing period and you can't afford to loose that time.

GOOD LUCK

I didn’t have the time proofread, but I think I need to improve on my writing skills.
For the task;
1. I was asked “If technology has made life simpler or people should just do their task without tech”.

2. The First one was a graphical representation of Graduates in Arts and Sciences from 1990 and 2010.
Alright thanks.

I started with my task two, finished and proofread it. But the task one is the one I rushed because there was no time (task two took more of my time)
Another thing is that I had no time to check the word count of the task. I'm in doubt if I got the required word count (150 words) and I'm aiming for a minimum band score of 6.5 cry

Since you are into IT, write your IELTS and make sure you score a minimum of 7.0 in L,R,S and 6.5 in W.

After that, apply to a university of your choice in the Republic of Ireland. It's an English speaking country in the western Europe, they seceded from the UK.
Provided you can provide a God POF, they will approve your Visa. Ireland is a the headquarter of many high tech companies like Facebook etc. There are many jobs for those in the tech industry.

Iamsofavoured:
Very useless news.
1. Nurses are produced across Nursing Schools but without good treatments as the Doctors and other allied health workers. Their salaries compared to the workload is very annoying.
2. Why are they not rating Nurses with double qualifications and even more? If a Nurse have double qualification that should count as a specialist and the rating should be at par with BSc.
3. Not only BSc. Nurses are leaving the country. They are all leaving so if you want to show you care, the remuneration must be felt across.
4. I seriously blame the NANNM for poor representation and negotiation for their members.
5. Those old Nurses are too complacent and even maltreat the younger ones that they even believe they are learning under Doctors. Whereas, most of these Doctors you see secretly learn from the Nurses and those ones too don't bother to see their worths.
6. Abeg the matter is just annoying me jare.

According to the newly approved nurses scheme of service by the National Council of Establishment, Nurses that graduated from School of nursing with RN and RM will start from grade level 9 (ie CONHESS 8] while those that have only RN will start from Grade level 8 (ie CONHESS 7)
It's fair enough to the nursing community

Are you normal at all?
So university graduates that spent 5yrs should be earning same with school of nursing graduates that spent 3yrs?
You should equally advocate med lab technicians to be earning dsame amount with medlab scientists, dental technician earning same with dentists, pharmacy technician earning same with pharmacists.

The National Council of Establishment (NCE) in its ongoing 43rd meeting approved grade level 10 (CONHESS 9) as the entry point of University graduate nurses.

This was achieved through constant call for better renumeration for nurses by the National Association Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) and the Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU)

Congratulations Nigeria Nurses!!!

Health / I'm experiencing Unproductive Cough That has Lasted For 7days And Loss Of Voice. by Hibiscus62: 2:30am On Oct 13, 2021
Hi nairlanders, I need your help.

I started having cough seven days ago and I as well took some over the counter medications to sooth it (Erythromycin, Augmentin and a liquid one) . But it seems while I take the medications, the cough worsens especially at night. The cough is very dry and doesn't produce anything and it's mostly triggered by a funny sensation at the back of my throat.

I don't really experience any other symptom apart from loss of appetite.
I'm afraid of going to the hospital to avoid being kept in the isolation center for the suspicion/fear of covid.
Could this truly be Covid?
What should I do?

Mods, please my post needs a wide view.

Olufemi94:
Good morning, Ma
Congratulations on your feat.

Thank you for sharing this process with us.

My fiancee is a practicing member of your noble profession (RN. BNSc Nursing Science) here in Nigeria. She has about 4 years experience.

We intend to relocate to the UK.
However, I need clarification in the following regard:

1. Is it better to be wedded before relocating or after?

2. I am privileged to be working here (I have a BSc in Biochemistry), however, I want to know if there are job opportunities for me too over there?

3. Can I work as a Health Care Assistant?

Thank you, Ma
I anticipate your response Ma.

-I'll advise that you wed before she travels.
-When you get over there, you will need to enroll on a course, before you can work as a care assistant. It doesn't take time though
-On the prospects of your course, when you get there and have a first hand experience of what's obtainable, you can then take a decision on whether to continue with your area or diversify through the Masters route.

akaahs:

Thanks ma. My wife is the registered nurse and is eager to travel out. The last time she tried, she got an email disqualifying her because she has no BSN and lack experience in over 200 hundred hospital bed space. She has post basic in perio.
She got an email from who?
UK doesn't discriminate against University graduate Nurses and Diploma nurses. What they are interested in is to confirm if one is duly registered with the regulatory body of the country where she was trained and they don't require that specific experience you mentioned. I think it's USA that always demand for experienced nurses in a hospital with more than 200 beds.

The first step someone that intend to travel to the UK will take is to register and write IELTS. If you pass, you can then start your application proper like NMCN verification, getting your transcripts, writing CBT, etc.
There are many recruiting agencies that will even rush you when you pass IELTS.

I advise that you consult a reputable agent that has guided someone on this before.

NB: I'm not an agent
