Thegamingorca: The embassy needs more outlets and staff.
Only one embassy can't be curtailing the whole of Nigeria.
In India dem get 5 embassies oh, how dey now expect only one embassy to be servicing the whole of Nigeria that's the most densely populated nation in the world, is beyond me.
No wonder those poor embassy staff quit dey needed a break Firstly, Nigerian is not even the sixth most populated country in the world. The current population of India is roughly 1.4bilion. So what are you saying? You make it sound like the embassy is a company to open outlets everywhere. Germany one of the countries with most reasonable embassies in Nigeria. Contrary to what you are saying it has two missions in Nigeria. One in Abuja and one in Lagos which serve the north and south respectively unlike most countries who have just one, either in Abuja or Lagos. Example turkey and Norway. Let's give it up for Germany. They are trying |

Ligogu: Hello folk. Please is it true that i will be funding my block account every year if i want to renew my residence permit Because the guru that are here mentioned something like, German immigration give only 1 year residence permit, then you gonna renew it every year. Please how true is this It depends on the city... Some cities especially small ones give you for the duration of your studies.. 2years or 3 years. While some especially large ones give you for just a year or even six months. Concerning blocking your account for renewal, you can come here with BA and later switch to using SL for renewal. Some cities will require you to have just like 3k euro in your account, some will require you to have more than that. Like I said, it all depends on the city. |

odimbannamdi: Thanks for this invaluable tips, brother!.
I have some questions, bro:
Are TK and AOK public or private insurance organizations?
Are Munich and Munchen same thing? I see them used interchangeably a lot.
Regarding the emboldened, how person wan come take watch movies and unwind? What is thr average cost of watching a movie legitimately?
Finally, how does a typical day look like for a typical student as regards study hours and work? I am thnking say lectures are from 9am to 2pm. Then we have the remaining days to ourselves so that those who want to work will do so from say 4pm to 7pm. I, typically, would then want to sleep till 3am and read till 7am before going to school.
Does it always pan out this way? Munchen and Munich mean the same thing Munich (English name ) Munchen (German name) TK and AOK are all public |

gbens2000: House pls wen will Dey stay giving AD for summer? because looks like they have stop giving AD for winter people Summer applicants should not panic because of AD. The embassy officially starts giving out AD next year. I don't know why someone whose study is starting next year April/May should be worried. Summer semester normally has fewer applicants than winter. So everyone must get a date no matter how long. Those who have gotten a date for summer already are people in peculiar cases. |

I never said you get pr while schooling. The law clearly states you are eligible to land pr as a student migrant after schooling or being a graduate of a German institution of which you must have landed a job related to your field waiting for you before graduating or in 18months after graduating

I am entitled to give whatever comment wherever I want them even if it means shaking tables or breaking legs. Abi nah you get the thread sef
May God see us through this German waka in Jesus name Lol... Everybody wants you to say what they wanna hear!!! If anyone is coming to Germany with the intention of coming to get rich then they are on a very long thing. Here is not for a thing like that. People here live very simple life... They are not after riches but after comfort and good life. They very contented with what they have. Not greedy not criminal minded also. Their system of government makes sure nobody gets too rich unlike Nigeria where the government even aids money laundering. Germany is one of the richest countries in the world but if you check it has very few or no people who are in the category of people like dangote. The government channels its economy into bringing more money into the country and using it to develop and give its people good life. There are opportunities but eschew the mind set of coming to pack money. Everything here is guided by law. I wish all those coming good luck... |

LexRE: Hello Everyone,
I have been in Germany (Ingolstadt) for a week now and all I can say is every single struggle is worth it.
I’d like to advise on some issues;
Firstly when you’re selecting your course or study try to focus on the bigger cities. They’re usually easier to live in and more job opportunity plus most of them speak English.
I used Turkish airline and my experience with them was really bad. The plane didn’t arrive at MMA until after two hours of the departure time. Most of us missed our connecting flight and spent long hours at the Turkish Airport.
Try and come with some basic amenities like head warmer, gloves, winter jacket, money, bed sheet, extension, winter socks, winter boot etc. [Note: the Germans use type F electrical outlet, if possible get them before coming)
Try and secure you accommodation before coming, if not you might find it difficult.
If possible learn the language and start studying from Nigeria. Here they’re very precise and time cautious. The semester will start the day advised and lectures will start so try to arrive as soon as possible.
Let me know if you have any questions. I used Turkish Airline and there service was fantastic... Great staff they have. If not the help of one of the Air host who helped me, I would have left my winter jacket at Lagos Airport. They served us food as and when do.... They punctual and the plane even departs before time. I learned that some people use to miss their connecting flight at instanbul Airport.... People who miss their flights are probably people who don't pay attention to details.... Immediately you arrive Istanbul, the first thing you are supposed to do is to locate your connecting flights get.... Due to the size of the airport it took me almost 30 minutes to locate my gate |

Guys, I have been in jena for three days now. This city is a very cossy one.
I doubt if there's any university in Germany that is as nice as friedrich Schiller university Jena.
Very nice school... It has tailor-made everything to make life easy for a first timer like me.
They have German classes for just 20 euro per semester...
To all those planning on coming here, I don't have much to say. All I have to say is... do everything you can to live Nigeria. even if it is not to Germany... just leave. . Just three days in a small city like Jena and my perspectives have changed.
God help Nigeria meeeeen |

If you are honest and can prove beyond reasonable doubt that you deserve visum I think we'll get them.
Stop all this negative ominous cloak and dagger stuff. Hundreds upon hundreds of Indians gain visum to study in same country. Is it because german VOs in the south east asia like indians?
Not true.
We need to adopt honesty. I believe it's far easier than we are anticipating. Another thing I've noticed and I'm disgusted about is ppl are deliberately keeping or hoarding valuable information particularly useful visum transcripts that can revolutionize this waka.
It will be well.

Tommynaku: Thats absolute not true!! your staying back all depends on the motive. They know there are genuine reasons of which PhD is one. Let your your plans after studies in your motivation letter correspond also to what you tell the VO In ma case, I clear told the vo that i will want to continue with PhD after my studies. He asked where and I told him either in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. This is because the impact I want to make in my country, the master degree is not enough to give me the technical/scientific knowledge. There are also instances where you can tell them after study, You will like to work or do research to gain more experience that you take back to your country. In this case you need to back up with good SOP and good explanation. Whaaat! Bro things have changed now. It's clear now that the embassy/VOs looks for the slightest excuse to reject you. VOs are not the same, one vo may buy your PhD stuff and another may not. They understand applicants differently. During, my interview, I wanted to tell the VO that after my studies, I'll proceed to Canada for my PhD(that's my intention) but on second thought I told her I'm going back to imo State to work with the ministry of environment. I'm not saying you should not be sincere but some VOs are temperamental. |

I applied with Category A in August but when I saw what the website put that it's for only Bachelors received after January 2017, I cancelled and applied for category B.
