SportsSeems James Rodriguez Is Planning On Leaving Madrid by highskies(op): 7:42am On May 11, 2016
James Rodriguez is preparing to leave Real Madrid.

The Colombian, says OKDiario, has put his luxury villa up for rent at €17,000-a-month. The home is in the same residential area of Real teammates Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale.

James has chosen to rent out the villa as he hasn't ruled out returning to Madrid when he hangs up his boots. But for now, he is seeking a new club to revive his profile.

Manchester United, PSG and Chelsea have all been mentioned as potential suitors for James......

HealthRe: Bennet Ifekandu-Omalu Honored By Xavier University For Discovering Brain Injury by highskies(m): 10:29pm On May 08, 2016
Seen the movie Concussion. I so admire his zeal, resilience and he is indeed an intellect. I dove my hat Sirrrrr

broseme:
Nigerians continue to get all the recognition they deserve abroad, the latest being the famous doctor, Bennet Ifekandu Omalu, the man who discovered chronic traumatic encephalopathy (or CTE) after he conducted autopsy on former NFL player Mike Webster.

Yesterday, Ifekandu took to Twitter to announce that he has received a honorary Doctor of Science degree from the Xavier University in Louisiana in the United States, for massive contributions to science.

Bennet Omalu ‎wrote.....

'Got Honorary Doctor of Science degree from Xavier University of Louisiana today. I am deeply grateful and thankful'.

The school detailed his battles with the NFL which tried to discredit his earlier discoveries, Omalu’s refusal to back down, and finally gaining the attention of Hollywood’s Ridley Scott, who proceeded to work on a feature film telling Omalu’s stories with Will Smith starring as the doctor.

Last December, Concussion, the true life story of Omalu’s battles hit the cinemas, with hopes that it would draw attention to the link between the football head injuries and early onset of dementia that could lead to death, and more importantly, how this has continued to be a bone of contention within the NFL. Finally, in March, the NFL admitted that there’s link between football and brain damage.

Now, Omalu is gaining all the recognition he deserves, and as he said on Twitter, “Got Honorary Doctor of Science degree from Xavier University of Louisiana today,” he wrote, adding, “I am deeply grateful and thankful.”

BusinessRe: New Monetary Policy Pulls Out N744bn From Circulation by highskies(m):
Generally speaking contractionary monetary policies and expansionary monetary policies involve changing the level of the money supply in a country. Expansionary monetary policy is simply a policy which expands (increases) the supply of money, whereas contractionary monetary policy contracts (decreases) the supply of a country's currency.

- Contractionary monetary policy causes a decrease in bond prices and an increase in interest rates.
- Higher interest rates lead to lower levels of capital investment.
- The higher interest rates make domestic bonds more attractive, so the demand for domestic bonds rises and the demand for foreign bonds falls.

PoliticsRe: Fayose, Kashamu Disagree Over Buhari by highskies(m): 11:49am On Mar 02, 2016
Good.

Sen. Kashamu you have said it well. In as much as Gov. Fayose is trying to be a critic, his criticism is most times baseless. For instance the suggestion for the FG to devalue the naira so as for Govs to have more allocation. That was just plain illiteracy at Mount Everest scale.

The FG should be criticised constructively with a view of making them either sit-up or change strategy to get better result.

Its glaring that the FG is building bridges with other countries to suit our interest and also winning the war against insurgency in all ramification.

I do however feel that the FG could empower our higher institutions especially the postgraduate schools to carryout projects on large scales for the benefit of their host communities and environ.

These projects could be from renewable energy projects to Controlled environment agriculture and storage. The activities of these institutions could also be closely monitored and serve as pilot projects for adoption by the main industries subsequently.

The boy will be sanctioned IF he actually kidnapped the girl.

What if it turns out they both consented to fleeing to Kano?

And how is Yinusa-Ese story encouraged by Islam in anyway if you actually digested my post?

BeClever:
Thank you Op for trying to let us into ur beliefs, but I have some questions for you.

1. You passage did not specify the expected age before a girl is to consent for marriage.. So we all in Nigeria agreed that eighteen should be the bench mark, right?

2. The girl's parents has been making all the necessary efforts for months to try to rescue their daughter, but some people seem it OK to haboured her and for months Police never thought they can attend to thus parents.

3. Non of you who are more interested to preserve you god's have been dead to the story side of the girls parent and had assimilated every info that came out of Emirs Palace with 1 doubt into his perceived involvement.

4. The girl is constitutionally under age and the issue of consent is null and void..

Do you hear?

Pls believe what you will and Pls only marry frm you believe, cos Christians are outraged with Islam.

Finally, if you are a Yoruba Muslim, then I have just wasted my time on you..so don't even bother replying.

Cos, most Yoruba Muslims are moderate..
Yoruba Muslims Moderate? Well I don't know what u mean by that.

The issue of Age lies at the discretion of,

1. Law governing the land if any or,
2. Discretion of the matured guardian then consent of the Lady.

You are speculative in some of ur statements like the one concerning the Emir and the parents. Were the parents at the Emir's palace to see him or complain?

From the video,
1. How did she learn hausa?
2. Why is she reluctant to go back home? (she could have been brainwashed right?)
3. Where are the parents up to this moment? Relaxed and at home in Bayelsa?

Did u read the post at all? If u did, u would have seen the Condition to void a marriage amongst them is CONSENT OF THE GUARDIAN (WALEE).

When do u think Girls in the UK, US or Middle East attain maturity?

How often have we heard of child rape, pornography and prostitution? Are u saying that its the muslims that are responsible for all these?

Islam encourages early marriage on a society by society basis so as to discourage the ills we have in the society now. STDs, Homosexuality, Unwanted pregnancies, Prostitution, etc. What do u think propagates all these?

You should learn to respect other People's religious beliefs. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was NEVER a pedophile.

"The majority of traditional hadith sources state that Aisha was married to Muhammad at the age of six or seven, but she stayed in her parents' home until the age of fifteen when the marriage was consummated with the Prophet, then 53, in Medina."

The girl is a minor. Her parents are supposed to be making decisions for her until she becomes an adult at 18. Since her parents' consent was not sought and obtained, the marriage should be voided and the child returned to them.
Islam and other religions have noble admonitions but we must agree that they have aspects that must be shelved in today's world.
Thanks for giving us the view from Islam. There's always two sides to a story.
My point exactly, the parents are responsible for the girl and their CONSENT is paramount as stated in the body of my post.

Investigation should be channeled properly and Islam should not be mixed with Yinusa. If Yinusa is found wanting by the law of the federal Republic of Nigeria , he should be tried and if he is a minor should be treated as such. However proper investigation is required.

The legal age of self determination for marriage in Nigeria is 18. Islam does not abolish the laws governing a society such as ours (mixed), it however acts as a way of life for Muslims.

Islam shouldn't be confused with Muslims. We have good muslims likewise bad ones, similarly we have good Christians likewise bad ones. We can't however use a sample (small number) to judge a population in all cases.

It still baffles that there is starvation in a country like Nigeria. So much fertile land, hunger in the midst of plenty. lipsrsealed
Storage is a major issue, Processing is also another issue and Diversification of Agro-products into renewable energy for instance.

If we diversify the cassava industry into ethanol production for instance, we could trade it for other food that we are currently lacking.
