EVERY OTHER GAME CAN GO BUT NAT THIS..... Found ma self smiling so hard as I stumbled on these kids flexing their muscle on this game and I remember how I used to be a respected champion amidst ma peers during the good old days until I grew and can't explain how I felt the day I played on a standard board.

I found my self speechless and dumbfounded as I reasoned through flash back of events in nigeria with respect to the agitation from several groups even on media for the recapture of over 200 girls claimed to have been abducted by the dreaded terror group in nigeria (boko haram) on the 14 day of April 2014. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/01/parents-chibok-girls-protest-un/ I recall vividly that the protests was at it's peak during the electioneering period and was seriously used by the then opposition party against the ruling party. http://saharareporters.com/photos/citizen-arise-protest-presidents-inaction-chibok-girls His Excellency President Buhari promised in one of his campaign speeches that bringing back the CHIBOK girls is one of his top agenda. It's over 20 calendar months now and nothing has been done about these girls. it's quite hilarious and suspicious to note that the president who finally took power despite his vows is no longer saying anything about the CHIBOK girls nat jast that I also observed that the teaming groups lead by various activists e.g Oby Ezekwesili, #bringbackourgirls# trending on Twitter and host of others suddenly stopped agitating for CHIBOK girls. not to forget the parents of these girls who where in one occasion reported to almost went about the streets unclad for the release of their girls. Now these are the questions I asked myself which I have nat been able to answer : 1. where is Oby Ezekwesili and her groups 2. what happened to #bringbackourgirls# on Twitter. 3. I heard then that Jonathan was clueless and does nat know how to go about getting back these girls. does it now mean that Buhari is far more clueless than Jonathan? 4. Where are the parents of these girls have they suddenly disappeared into the air? Which way Nigeria, why do we always allow our ambitious and selfish 'rulers' to use, fool, confuse and left us fighting one another why they go on with their nefarious loots. IT IS HEARTBREAKING!

Both the creator of this thread and his cohort got fowl brains and lack the ability to reason through a statement. Ben ain't attacking Mr fash. rather he's letting him know he's got a big challenge of making sure we see constant power supply in this his new term as minister of power. And I think His statement is in the right direction. sometimes I feel so sorry for our young ones who get themselves so attached to these politicians even with their brains and cannot reason well anymore. they react at every statement targeted at these politicians they seem to protect online who doesn't even know they exist. you jast mocking yourselves unknowingly and some other dudes are here celebrating you two. |

Mega005:Young man know This about the igbos: they've got a way of packaging anything to look more admiring and presentable.. If you like force them to name Their leader a 'MONITOR' they. Will still package it in a way that you will still have problem with it. U got to learn to accept and respect the igbos for ur own good.have u ever tried to reason why the igbos are more progressive in all ramification even after the civil war which suppose to be a set back to them surprisingly as it stands now u can't compare the eastern part of this country to anywhere in the North or even your so called yoruba land of which the igbos are still the ones. Enforcing development infrastructurally,economically...name it! The summary of this story here is: the Eze ndi igbo in akure dressed in a more flambouyant and intimidating rigalia and the poor Oba felt so inferior and fear that someday the Eze igbo may become more recognised and popular than him who is the bonafide king of the land. It is called inferiority complex or rather you call it IGBOPHOBIA its actually a disease and most yoruba people suffer from this. The good news is,only the igbos got the medicine! |

Onyeara:Oooh @ onyeara From the information I hav,about45 trainees came from Anambra state out of which the state sponsored 20 persons and the rest were self sponsored but then Anambra State government as at now have no zeal for sponsoring her indegenes again for NAPTIN NGSDP having observed that those they sent for the programme were nat given any job at the end as earlier stated on the letters sent to them by NAPTIN Through the DG. Onyeara:Another issue right now is the NAPSAS Trainees. http://www.newspunch.org/exclusive-fresh-n3-6bln-loots-uncovered-in-fed-min-of-powers-napsasnaptin-fg-employment-scheme/ |
Ogadtop:BUhahahaha.... i can see that NAPTIN now train e-goons to help them defend their dubious act (confidence trick)... i asked a simple question here which i have been waiting for the answer from AWAA surprisingly till now i haven't received any answer to my simple question. Maybe i have to repeat it: AWAA and co, please explain this in simple terms: NAPTIN employed graduates who never did this training, placed them on salary and sent them to same training while the already trained are at home. please i beg your clarification meanwhile the DG said to both 12/13 and 13/14 set that best ten will be employed, he only did that with the first set then what happened to the second set of 2013/2014. |
Awaaa:Honestly you always leave me laughing each time i go through your post because i Can't understand your stake here, now tell me how to explain this to this trained engineers that after the promised job offer to the best ten graduates, thereafter NAPTIN recruited new personnel who havent undergone NAPTIN training. These new recruits are being paid good salaries while going through same training. Does this make sense to you? what do you expect them to think about NAPTIN Since its DG tôld them that best 10 will be Employed into the institution. Behold he recruited non trained personnel, placed them on Salary and sent them to same training. While the trained ones are at home doing nothing. Is that fair enough? Will you advice your young one to spend such amount and come back to stay all day @ home? If you do then you are wicked. 750K is jast the tuition because you will end up spending over 1.5M when you add living, feeding and transportation cost if you are self sponsored. If NAPTIN can neglect its trained engineers and sourced for personnel outside then what do you expect of other companies. Young man @Awaa you claimed a benefactor of the best 10 job during your set count yourself lucky and Keep quite. |
Oooh its now obvious that this bigoted bigote called AWAA is actually hired by naptin to defend this naferious act. Checking through his profile and observed that he got registered on Nairaland on the 18 of August.... A day after this thread was created. AWAA has only posted twice on Nairaland only on this thread. You can verify what I have said. https://www.nairaland.com/awaaa |
manakumar:My choice of word should nat be a problem here as far as you can read and understand. Doing whats right is always painful to certain people who are in one way or the other favoured.....I believe you understand what am talking about Employ them and save yourself all this stress. I can hear you talk like a wailer actually hired to protect an interest. Carry on but pray that what they are going through will nat come to you someday. |

ABUJA (Federal Ministry of Power Report) - The Minister of Power, Chinedu Nebo (Professor) at the recent graduation ceremony of the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) announced an automatic employment for the three best graduating students and the offer of cash rewards worth N150,000 and N100,000 for two categories of awardees. The Minister expressed satisfaction with the training curriculum, saying it has prepared the graduands to truly become engineers, skilful enough to operate in the delicate power sector as they have been imbued with formal knowledge and skills. He added that the two sets of trainees, who make up the group since his assumption of duty will help address the dire need for skilled manpower for the sector, indicating that the sector has suffered neglect of skilled workforce under both NEPA and PHCN regimes. Chinedu Nebo averred that he is more confident now than he was in the time past because the sector is currently prepared for the envisaged astronomical leap in its activities towards ensuring uninterrupted power supply to Nigerians. "This mission lies under the objectives of the Transformation Agenda which also has the job creation component and local content aimed at enabling Nigerians to take their rightful positions in the future of the sector," he noted. He commended the vision of the originators of NAPTIN as they have incorporated Training Policy for Power as a way of setting service-wide standards that all private operators must adhere to. According to the Minister, it is in keeping faith with this resolve that General Electric has also incorporated local capacity-building into its plans for the new plant being built in Cross-River State. He further enjoined all stakeholders to think out of the box by embracing new approaches to tackling the various challenges facing the sector, especially training modules and research efforts capable of bringing to fore the new opportunities that abound in the power sector. While setting the agenda for the new graduands, the Minister warned them against utilising the skills acquired during their training at NAPTIN in unproductive and deplorable future endeavours. Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the House Committee on Power, Philip Aduda (Senator) challenged the graduands to use the training for the protection of power assets, even though they are in private hands, assuring the Institute of continuous legislative support. The Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, Sam Amadi (Dr) in his goodwill message commended NAPTIN for its continuous efforts at capacity building, insisting that the graduands after their training at the Institute have been considered good enough to fill the technical capacity gap which had skewed against engineers and other technical staff in the time past. Adding, it was because of this that the sector¡¯s development partners have identified and supported NAPTIN¡¯s programmes. He advised that the Institute should keep abreast of changes from the digitalized world, inferring that in the near future, things like risk engineering and financing expertise will be incorporated into the curriculum. Earlier in his address, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Power, Godknows Igali (Dr) called on the new graduands to take their training seriously as the opportunity has distinguished them as persons capable of working in the newly privatized power sector. He disclosed that 189 graduands have been given Presidential acceptance to be employed, stressing that this development is a wake-up call to those States that have failed to sponsor students, in spite of the fact that they have un-used quota to explore. Awaaa:. Hmmmmmm ...Thank goodness you finally landed. But i must say again that you merely do nat understand what this guys are asking for. They arent saying naptin should employ them all... No .they are Oboy saying that NAPTIN should fulfil their statement of job offer to the best ten of which they did for your own set as you claimed to be a benefactor. As well as the 189 Engineers they said would be absorbed into TCN. Now the pains this guys get is that even the said TCN do employ personnel almost everytime and no consideration is in anyway given to this guys (the already trained ones) rather TCN would employ fresh graduates and still send them to NAPTIN for same training. Why the waste of fund, why nat employ the already trained .... It is much more cost effective to retrain a staff if you wish. It is a big risk and a waste of human resources to gain this kinda training and fail to put it into practice. Maybe NAPTIN played to the gallery by saying that an other has been issued by the presidency to employ 189 engineers. Unfortunately these guys held and hoped onto this statements as it is a direct statement of hope. Staying idle for a long time without any job despite the kinda skill they have acquired could make these intelligent and well meaning nigerians to devulge into negative acts. I think they are only trying to cryout because many never knew this until now. |
[quote author=gamibawa post=37116168]I believed NAPTIN has fulfilled her obligation towards us as trainee because we paid for knowledge not job and was delivered to us in the WORLD CLASS TRAINING we received in power sector by NAPTIN...God bless FRN, NAPTIN and her I sûre know that the ability to read is different from the ability to understand this actually explains the reason why many students would read all the material they lay their hands upon in preparation for exams yet fail woefully. You must have read through the write up...doubtful anyway.... Because its obvious to me that you dant understand the plight of the OP who categorically stated that certain promises were made but yet to be fulfiled. Please try as much as possible to read as well as understand before you comment. I duely appreciate you. |
Its obvious that the two people above me do nat understand some lines in the write up It stated clearly that NAPTIN as usual through its DG promised automatic Employment for its best ten traînées into NAPTIN. Its over 9months now the 2013/14 set graduated and nothing of such has happened rather the DG Engr Reuben Okeke vehemently denied that stating that the Institute can no longer do that. This statement was issued by him at a Meeting scheduled between NAPTIN and its past graduates of 12/13 and 13/14 sessions of which over 80 percent of this sets remain unemployed. The fact here is that NAPTIN projected statements that looked great and promising to the unsuspecting engineers who believed it would be a sure way to help boost the dieing power sector unfortunately they are begining to see all those statements and promises as delusional At the graduation of the later set the ministry of power through its permanent secretary Dr Godknows Igali made mention that a presidential directive has been given to absorb about 189 graduates who made merit into TCN till this moment nothing like that has taken place. The height of it which made these young, vibrant ,promising and skill rich Engineers to cru out is that the certificate itself lack regognition even from government parastatals like NERC, EMS, COREN NSE and others despite its cost and the skills acquired. I still maintain that NAPTIN should stop at trades like welding, pipe fitting, électrification, installations,...etc which can enable its graduates to start something on their own and might even end up becoming employers of labour than pushing into power sector training while the trainees stay idle at the end. |
1)WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF TRAINING MORE PEOPLE IF THE TRAINED HAS NO PLACE IN THE NIGERIAN ECONOMIC WORKFORCE. 2)THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT THROUGH SUREP SPONSORED MANY ENGINEERS FOR THIS TRAINING WHICH IS CAPITAL INTENSIVE. WHY WASTE SUCH NATIONAL FUND SINCE THE END RESULT IS COUNTER PRODUCTIVE. 3) NAPTIN AGAIN JUST ADVERTISED FOR ITS 2015/16 SET OF TRAINEES AND HAVE SENT LETTERS TO VARIOUS STATE GOVERNORS TO SEND IN THEIR INDIGENES FOR TRAINING. SAME NAPTIN TOLD A CERTAIN STATE GOVERNOR NAME WITHHELD THAT OVER 70% OF ITS INDEGENES TRAINED IN THE LAST SET HAS ALL BEEN ABSORBED THIS IS JUST IN A BID TO STIMULATE THEM INTO SPONSORING MORE PEOPLE. IS IT NOT WORTHY OF NOTE THAT NAPTIN AND ITS MANAGEMENT( ENGR. REUBEN OKEKE) IS JUST OUT TO DEFRAUD STATE GOVERNMENTS AND UNSUSPECTING NIGERIANS. Its HIprofile again.... |
Mekky05:What would you say about someone who shelled out ati coughed out over 5M for a master degree programme in the oversea eg UK. Many like me would prefer to pay 750k for a skilled Training than Msc. They say they were duped cos there were nat jast promises but statements of fact from the leadership of naptin cum MOP (ministry of power) with respect to employments. I think you pulled your comment outa the analysis you deduced from other pósters cos am nat sûre you actually read through the OP's write up. If such Training were to be kinda skill that would enable one establish his own small scale biz. Majority of them must have started something by now on their own. I hate it when people comment without reading. How could you pass judgement without studying the case to be judged? It baffles me. |
