Again, Cank kiu for this post. Where is HNIC? I want him to counter this.
@FBS and @ahonohai
As much as AW is my gaffer,he was being economical with the truth when he said all those stuff he said.
How can he come out and say that Henry left to win Silverware at Barca?
What has he been winning at Arsenal?Bronzewarehuh
What was the guarantee that Barca would win the CL?
NONE?
In Henry's fist year, there was turmoil in the dressing room(he didnt even play much) and were beaten fair and square by Manure in the CL semis
In fact, after a bad start to his Barca career, the Barca hierachy felt Arsenal had '419ed' Barca and there were rumours he could be heading to the MLS!
A rejuvenated Barca(with a new gaffer) then went on to win the treble in the next season.
Why is AW telling us all that after Barca had won the CL?
What if Manure had beaten Barca in the finals of the CL?What will AW have said about Henry?
A Champions League win is nothing sure when a player switches clubs
Henry could not stand the media intrusion that would have followed his divorce was why he left!
All the other excuses, bla, bla, bla are smokescreen(see below)

Thierry Henry leaving Arsenal for real now
Posted by mr. simplicity | 1:32 PM News, Sports
0 comments Thierry Henry has claimed he would only have left the Emirates Stadium for Barcelona - because they play "the Arsenal way".

The France striker is on the verge of clinching a reported £16million move to the Nou Camp after finally deciding his time in north London must come to an end.

Explaining his decision to leave Arsenal, Henry told the club's official website: "I left Arsenal to go to Barcelona because, no disrespect to any other team, but there are only two teams in the world who play football the way I like it. That is the way the people here like it -- the Arsenal way."
Henry is due in Catalonia on Sunday after the two clubs agreed the terms of the deal, with the Gunners claiming that just a medical and the "completion of formalities" stand between the move taking place.

In an open letter to The Sun, published on Saturday morning, the 29-year-old claimed uncertainty over manager Arsene Wenger's future was a major factor in his decision to leave the Gunners, and also cited the departure of former vice-chairman David Dein, a close personal friend of Henry's, as another reason to quit for Spain.

Henry's apparently certain departure has come as a massive blow to the club and its supporters, who are still raking over the ashes of another disappointing season.

A fourth-placed finish in the Barclays Premiership for a second season running failed to meet expectations, while there was no consolation to be found in the cup competitions where a final defeat by Chelsea in the Carling Cup was as good as it got for Wenger's men.

But Henry believes Gunners fans have every reason to be optimistic despite his decision to jump ship, and is adamant the talent is already there to fill his sizeable boots.

He continued: "The team here is growing and there is some amazing talent here and I do think this is the right time for Robin van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner, who is coming back from Birmingham, to shine.

"Hopefully they will do it. As soon as you know they can do it, they will forget about me, that's the way it is."

AW is talking rubbish joo! grin

Meanwhile, this Bendtner boy is funny ooh. . . . .

Bendtner explains switch of squad number  Arsenal centre forward Nicklas Bendtner has changed his squad number for the new season.

The Dane caught up with Arsenal.com to explain why he decided on the switch and give a personal offer to fans who had bought his shirt through Club outlets this summer.

“The new season’s almost here, and along with the rest of the players I’m really excited and believe it can be a really special one for everyone associated with the Club." said Bendtner.

"Before it starts I wanted to change my squad number from 26 which I’ve obviously had for a number of seasons now. I chose to move to 52 because it’s a special number to me personally, and I hope that it brings me good luck for the new season.

"I appreciate that a good number of fans have bought their kits for 2009/10 already with names and numbers printed up so I’d like to personally cover the cost of replacing anyone’s shirt that has my previous number. It means a lot to see supporters wearing your name and number, and I want to ensure people aren’t inconvenienced by the change."
* The offer is valid for supporters that purchased the Arsenal home, away or third shirt from a Club shop or online via Arsenal Home Shopping since June 2009. Any supporter wanting to upgrade their shirt that features Nicklas’ previous squad number must show proof of purchase in store.

My Man how far naw? You are very close to the truth as well.
The season starts this weekend and you have one of the potential 4th place contenders to start with.
Its not gonna be easy although you will not lose and they will not lose either. You know what that mean?
You gonna find urself at the middle of the table on day one which is not Arsenal like. The previous seasons
you always start at the top and finish 3 places below the top now you gonna find yourself at the middle you will finish 3 or 4 places above the middle.

Makelele and Geremi at Madrid, Essien was a champion at Lyon,Maniche was a champion at Porto. Also, look at thechelsea team, full of experienced players. Just because u are a fan and are biased does not make my highly  cool scientific theories flawed. I just tell it like i see it. It's nothing against Arsenal. Look at the current Cheslea squad and tell me what u see.
Come on
apart from Makalele and Essien ,the two others you mentioned were bit players in Chelsea' s league wins.
Meanwhile, you said it like the whole team from Goalkeeper to the reserves had all won the league before

I have asked this questoion before.
If we assumme kids are teenagers in football.
Who are the kids that are the core of the team at Arsenalhuh huh
Krayola2:
Vela came on in a lot of games u were losing, drawing and desperately needed to make sumn happen (if u want me to list the games i don't mind diggin them up). If Vela was only being given a run out u would be cruisin. Wenger expected him to make a difference, and i felt it was asking a lil too much of a kid. When ur team is fighting for a CL spot and behind in a must win game, I doubt that is a time to be giving inexperiencedteenage players a run out.
See, If you have listened to AW in his press briefings, it was not his desire that Vela should play a single league match.
Whenever new players come to Arsenal, AW is always of the view that they need time to blend with the physical nature of the EPL.
Vela had to be thrown in the mix in those matches because the gaffer was DESPERATE.
Injuries had so depleted the team that anyone will do at that moment just to get the result and it's nothing new
Mourinho once brought in Huth a few minutes to go when he was losing to Barca grin
Once, the big boys returned, Vela didn't play anymore

Of course, Arsenal are the better side but the glut of fixtures means Wenger will not be able to field his strongest possible team to see off Celtic.
Besides, Celtic are no pushovers especially in Glasgow so this is one of those banana-skin games that a manager tries to avoid.
Lil wonder Wenger is already making excuses should his team get knocked out by the hoops.[/quote]It's a tough schedule no doubt.
But looking at the flip side, i am glad.
We have no choice but to add more players to the squad.
AW will be forced to buy more players.
