More . . . . . . . . . . .

Abromovich: "I don't understand Guus. Why did you not beat Everton? Is it money? Do you need more money? BECAUSE I THINK I HAVE GIVEN ENOUGH!?"

Guss Hiddink: "No it's not the money. Sometimes you just don't get the goal needed for a win. Everton in fairness played very well and, "

Abromovich: "I DO NOT CARE HOW WELL THEY PLAYED. I'VE GIVEN THIS CLUB MONEY. MONEY SOLVES EVERYTHING! Where is the one you call Anelka, bring him in!"

*Anelka shuffles in*

Abromovich: "Anelka! Why did you not score against Everton!?"

Nicolas Anelka: "I did try but, "

Abromovich: "ANYONE CAN TRY! I WANT YOU TO WIN! WIN! WIIIIINNN!"

Abromovich: "Is it the money Nicolas? Do you need more money?"

Nicolas Anelka: "Yes"

The joke is on Monsieur Nic anelka this morning.

ANELKA: ARSENAL ONLY AIM FOR TOP FOUR

Chelsea 8/11, Draw 5/2, West Ham 4/1
Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has blasted former club Arsenal's title credentials by labelling them a team who only "aim for third or fourth place".

Anelka, who played for the Gunners between 1997 and 1999, also believes the Blues are a bigger club than their London rivals.

The comments come just a week after Chelsea came from a goal behind to beat Arsene Wenger's side 2-1 in the FA Cup semi-finals.

The Frenchman, who is the Premier League's joint top-scorer despite a run of 11 games without a goal, has had a turbulent relationship with Arsenal fans ever since he left for Real Madrid and his latest outburst will not have helped matters.

"Chelsea are a mega club composed of top players, within which you have to win every game because you are under massive pressure," he said in the Daily Mirror.

"You have to win week in, week out. It is different from at Arsenal. There is a context surrounding the club because of the chairman Mr Abramovich that makes people speak about Chelsea more than about Arsenal.

"Arsenal are composed of young players, aiming for third or fourth place, but we do not really speak about them for the title.

"Chelsea are like Real Madrid - the pressure here is huge."

However the 30-year-old did praise Wenger for bringing him to England from Paris Saint-Germain as a raw teenager.

"I still enjoy a tremendous relationship with Arsene," he added.

"You must respect such a manager for all the things he has done for so many players.

"Thanks to him I have got to know England and I am still there despite all the things that have happened throughout my career."

To be convinced that Le Sulk is talking rubbish.

Good morning to you all
This morning I read comments made by Nicolas Anelka, where he suggested that Chelsea are like Real Madrid,at first I just smiled and thought what an idiot, but then it started to wind me up, so I thought I would do a little research,it just goes to show some/most footballers should really keep their thoughts to themselves.

It's obviously you.
The sad thing is that even the touts in a park would put you to shame as per footy issues.
For God sake, they know the match(arsenal vs Man utd) is on Wednesday and not Tuesday, !!!!!!!!
You claim I am worse than your goat.
Sad thing is that your goat(wonder whether it was stolen) is much smarter than you
Quit this war and apologise for your atrocious goof.

Where did I write that you wrote, that Manure will play Arsenal at the Emirates.
Your football is so shallow that something as basic as the correct day for one of the biggest matches in the football calendar is not known by you!
it's a freaking disgrace.

He left Marseille also controversially, so I wasn't really surprised when he didn't sign the new deal.
Good luck to him in Milan.
I would have sworn that AW doesn't sign players that he let go but
Things are changing.
Who knows??
I will rather a good replacement though.

Can you see why you are disparaged by so many footie fans on NL.

see, it's good to sit on an arm chair and analyse
afterall, we are the fans and they are the gaffers. wink
I don't know why pips keep mentioning Hleb, i don't miss him and in Nasri and Arshavin who needs a  Hleb?
Flamster, well, we miss him but like i always say, that was his first good season and we dont know if he would have replicated it this season.
afterall, had Ade gone and we had finished trophyless this season, Ade too would have been added to the long list of players AW should have kept. grin
Really, I know AW makes some mistakes(which manager doesn't)
But to crucify him based on that Chelsea match isn't the best.
take your mind back to that match.
Drogba did nothing in the match, except the header towards goal that Gibbs cleared and the 85th minute winner  he scored
prior to then, RVP had a chance to make it 2-1.
Had he scored from that right wing cross by TW and we had won,
AW would have been hailed as a genius!Beating Chelsea with a 2nd choice defence and a 3rd choice CB,Silvestre grin
It's not easy losing 4 defenders and a goalie in a space of 1 week!
Picture manure losing Ferdinand, vidic,Evra, Rafael and VDS in one week OR
the chavs losing Terry,Alex,Cashley,Bosingwa  and Cech .
The gaffer panicked and played to stop Chelsea (very unarsenal)
instead of his normal 4-4-2.
He thought more of protecting the fragile back 4, than going all out to attack the chavs!
It was a gamble by him and unfortunately, it didn't pay off!

@HNIC/ kay_pumpin
Why does AW sometimes play Cesc in his least comfortable role when it's not necessary to do that?

Why did he constantly do same with Eboue some time ago?

Why does he play formations that even ardent 15-year old supporters know won't produce the best results?

Why doesn't he know when to sub, and the right person to sub most of the time?

Why does he have so many wrinkles on his forehead? grin

These and more are baffling. Help, please? Good answers, else I'll have to conclude the man has already peaked, and instead of staying on that level, is on a decline as a manager.
@ Cris
Lol, do u think AW sets out to lose matches?
Or you think he's hell bent on Ridiculing some playershuh
It's only the little mistakes you are 'harping' on.
What of the genius discoveries he has made.??
Kolo came to arsenal as a midfielder, played DM, also played RB
AW turned him to one of the best defenders to ever grace the EPL.
how about Henry?
Henry's career was almost over at Juventus as he was out of the first 11 and played wide
he joined arsenal and AW turned him to arguably, the best player ever to grace the EPL and arsenal's record goalscorer!
Moved him from RW to CF
He has the same plan for Theo Walcott also
There are many more examples of players who were moved from their original positions to new positions where they have excelled.
No manager would set out to humiliate a player or to ask him to play in an uncomfortable position
Such things would have been tried before in training and they must have worked out.

He doesn't know who to sub and when to subhuh??
must be kidding
Some examples
he brought on Ade against West Ham at upton park at 0-0
Ade came on, changed the game and scored two goals.
brought in Bendtner against Bolton, he scored the lone goal.
Against Hull City in the q-finals of the FA cup, with scores at 0-1 and Hull parking the bus at goal, he brought in Bendtner and nasri and the game changed.
So many examples
Or are u judging him now based on the rubbish that happened over the weekend.
The gaffer has tacitly apologised for his gamble.he has his eyes on the CL and a strong finish in the EPL
It's just like saying Fergie lost his damn mind by changing 8 players from the previous game for an FA cup semi.
He lost the tie
Spare AW pppplllllleeeeaaasssse!!!!!

It's baffling. . .aren't gaffers supposed to position players where their strengths lie? Unless there's an emergency shortage, there's no excuse for not doing that. It's just asking for trouble.

It has happened a number of times with Arsenal yet Wenger refuses to learn. Said it before, he was a good manager grin

At a time, I thought they were just playing games with me.
I could understand 1-1,2-2, but by the time it got to 3-3, I switched off my phone.
Only for the phone to come up and say 4-3,arsenal leading, then 4-4,scousers equalize.
The Scummie's texts were too funny.
Messages like
'God bless Arshavin'
'Arshavin the great'
'Arshavin, please come to man utd'
Anyway, I watched the highlights later and  really 'Arshavin was the man'
But really, what kind of defending was that by Arsenalhuh
