@pluto09 you are one of the people I respect on this forum... I deliberately kept behind the weekly chart of the stock before. See the Weekly chart below, the decline started in 2014, 1 year after tiger brand took over & reported loss of $40.5m as you clearly mentioned.

However, do we say because of Dangote taking over alone shoot up the price without any profits cum dividend declared by the company?

I am still keen to know the company's FY 2015 and Q1 2016 results

FCMB, STANBICIBTC etc are equally holding companies. Why are their results already out
I answered to this= What to expect from FY16 from FBNH, not the timing of the result. Trust me, I can't wait to analyse that result. I need all results from Total, Dangflour and FBNH like yesterday. huh huh

Can anything good come out of a delayed result. Pls help as your answer might aid my next FBNH move.
FBNH is a holding company, as such, it's difficult to tell how result will swing. But I tend to be more certain on a bulish 2017 quarterly results.

A result with profit position draws more investors/traders to itself more than a loss results, dividend also draws more attention than no dividend,

please dont compare FCMB AND DIAMOND bank together, mind you the stock price has been scripted for dividend payment, people are expecting alert next week, Diamond alert na next year oh grin grin grin grin grin

Transcorp's Q1? Yes I did. Group EPS declined 18% to 0.91. Company EPS declined 35% to 0.46. I wonder where Tony's promise of dividend will come from. All things being equal, tomorrow should be bloody for Transcorp. The pigs will get their heads chopped off as always. God help those who bought at 1.06 grin
The EPS is 0.91k(i.e less than 1k)? wink wink

It seems you really have no idea on the competition out there. For NB to still have the dominant market share is not a small something
What are these challenges?

We can only conjour reasons here. The sector has been bashed for a while now and little societal issues are impactful here. I wouldn't rule out the new found love for healthy living, switch to alternatives drinks, disposable income etc.

But the stock is not for the retail players like me and currentprice grin I don't see value in the industry and I don't see it as one with room for exponentila growth. It will grow moderately though.

However, NB is back to positive trend and when Institutional Investors and Foreign Portfolio Investors return, expect some rally here.
I don't know how you spend about 45% of Gross profit on Marketing anyway. Will this pass any Cost-Benefit analysis or People in Mamangegent run the marketing deals in personal capacity? undecided undecided undecided

COST OF SALES (50,724,253.00)
GROSS PROFIT 40,564,445.00

Airservice
- this is the ghost gainer of the year , up +50% YTD
- average units traded daily is under 1m
- I noticed trades going thru at N4.10 . . wait a minute
- charts look good , weekly and monthly super bullish

What do they do:
'' Airline Services & Logistics PLC was established in 1996 to provide catering and related services to airlines operating within the Nigerian aviation industry. The company operates international standard inflight catering facilities, lounges and restaurants at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.''

- sumfin is cooking here

I agree here. Always agreed with Currentprice on this one anyway. I'll like to ask Management about the Administrative/Distribution cost in Q4(s) anyway. It seems the company distibutes heavy xmas bags of rice and vegetable oil in Q4. grin

I hardly comment on fcmb all these while as some people are saying that i lured them into fcmb(deceived) but one thing i know is that if they exercise little patience, they will live to celebrate with me at due time.
How can i sell when i am still buying?
Fcmb is gradually getting into the hands of those who are not interested to sell for a very long time.
You can place your bid order and wait for people who are ready to sell.
Just pulling your legs,bro.

Anyway, I saw strange things at market close. embarassed embarassed

Make hay while the sun shines.Just thank God that you are seeing a stock with #1.00 EPS @#1.00.
What other opportunity are you waiting for?
When Transcorp was selling at 72 kobo few days ago, some people were seriously bergaining at 70kobo until the wind of change suddenly caught them by surprise. You may not see fcmb at your preffered junction(0.96k).if you are able to get, wish you goodluck.
I didn't say you should buy up the N1 offer. I asked you to sell grin grin grin
