Waoh. This people bleeding the country, are they not Nigerians. How do they feel when they travel to other develop countries.
They feel highly achieved - they believe they have transformed into whiteman, finally escaped the curse of 'ham'.

They have already moved their descendants out of Nigeria, and secured their living expenses forever with the stolen loot.

Mind you, the whiteman that facilitated the laundry of the loot has taken over 80% of it. But the nigger beggars are contented with their side of the bargain.

All those malaise you have listed are simply symptoms of the disease itself. Mind you, the white man is not the greatest problem the blackman has. The greatest problem is the blackman himself: his superstitious world view and unwillingness to use logic and the scientific method in the search for solutions to problems.

All that being said the white threat is still a reality. Though if not for the black man's weakness, it wont be so pervasive.

The western countries are very powerful as you have equally observed, and have the historic advantage - technological, military, and economic power- over the africans and other blacks. They have used this power to exert an 'undue influence' over the elite of African societies(the said elite they helped to create in the first place) by offering incentives and blackmail that is practically tantamount to coercion. Find out how Nkrumah of Ghana was unseated. Lumumba of Congo. Do you know the Taylor of liberia was a CIA agent?
We are not of the opinion of black helplessness and apathy in the face of all this. We believe the blackman can wake up and begin to change this state of affair, especially now, at the dawn of this information age. The key is for the masses to gain enlightenment.
If what we have type makes any sense to you, it is well and good; if not, let it be. I'll just urge you to investigate for yourself.

So the present african leaders are also brain washed by colonial masters Lol...blacks are pathetic
The simple answer is YES. The present leadership is the same crop. Think about it. How long ago was independence? Was it not just 55 years ago. The generation that was groomed, are they not still in power? How old is buhari, obj, ibb? Even when they die or leave power, dont they try and handover to their biological or ideological children for continuity? Was that not the case with Eyadema of Togo?

Reliigion is never a problem. We Nigerians r nt more religious than the Israelis. One thing is tht we claim to be religious bt our heart is far removed from God. Sincerely, as bad as USA may b there r more commited christian there than in Nigeria.
Did Religion ask u to b corrupt? Did religion ask u to be lazy? Read Proverbs. Did religion ask u nt to pay ur tax? Give caesar wht is his n give God wht is His. Did religion ask u to neglet the poor n thwart justice? Bros Religion is nt the problem bt our hypocrisy.
Roger! There is a significant difference between religion and regious superstition. Religion is diverse but underlining every religion is that sense of wonder, feeling or reverence for the universe in all its manifestation and glory which even the most notable scientist, Einstein was quoted to have felt.
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
Quoted on pg. 289 of Adventures of a Mathematician, by S. M. Ulam(Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1976). Apparently these words also occur somewhere in What I Believe (1930).
Religious superstition, on the other hand, is the result of the mental indolence associated with attributing of spiritual causes to most natural and social phenomenon instead of seeking understanding and solutions via logical reason and painstaking scientific research

All human societies were once superstitious in their infancy. The developed world has overgrown it, but Africans are still steeped in it under the cover of religion.

I think you just hit the nail on the head with regards to this black/african inferiority complex. It is just a coping mechanism for managing personal failure.

You cant find such sentiments in succesful people.

Unfortunately, just as failure begets this inferiority complex, yet it too is bound to begat more failures! Its a vicous cycle.

This mental disease of the op and his adherents is deadlier than the worst snake venom. If you are afflicted with this black inferiority complex, you cant do anything right.

why haven't your entire generation invented anything like Rob Ford? guess what because they are not brilliant.

be sincere to yourself and accept you are a failed human being, stop dragging black people into this.

This is the problem of the black man, instead of him to accept his failures, he will rather call himself other people blacks failures just to feel better.

anyways am still waiting tho

tell me why your entire generation did not invent anything like rob ford?
or
why havent you invented anything.

Most are familiar with the story of how
Joseph’s brothers sold him into Egypt, and
that Jacob, with his remaining sons, their
wives and children (66 people in all),
eventually joined him there. When properly
understood, Joseph’s function and leadership
role in Egypt under Pharaoh was truly
prophetic of his descendants’ role throughout
history.
There, as prime minister, he supervised the
production, storage and distribution of food
through seven years of abundance followed
by seven years of famine. If you are not
familiar with how Jacob and Joseph’s brothers
joined him in happy reunion in Egypt, take
time to read this truly moving story in
Genesis chapters 42 through 45.

Exodus 1:11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

so how come egypt is the so called cradle of civilization ?this explians why they could not sustain it becos they were not the originators.Roman empire, greece, baylonian empire and every other old civilization still have their similarities with today empires or their present countries .so whats up with that of egypt.
Blueagent, I would suggest that if your questions are honest (that is, you have not closed your mind to information contradicting your present belief) then continue with an elaborate study and research in history, political science and sociology and you will get clear answers to your questions.

However if you want enlightenment from forum users, then let your debate be less dogmatic.

Sabrwahaqqo:
Dear holocron,

I can see the light in your thoughts but I beg to differ with your concept (overall)

Like you've rightly said the white man's land a millennium ago is as bad as the black man's land of today. It was actually worse-off if you gonna take Nigeria as a representative backward blackman's land as a comparison...
Actually, I said that not so long ago (historically speaking) some 1000 years ago (give or take) some african societies where at par with european ones (And am not even talking of the great civilizations at Egypt and Ethiopia, think ancient Ghana, mali, songhai, kanem-Bornu, Asante, Benin etc. Look, its on record, check it: the earliest european visitors to Benin in the 16th century compared it favourably to Amsterdam in amazement of its culture, socio-political organization, andand fabrication technology.
Now, there was an historical point of divergence, which I identify as the european enlightenment (when they cast off superstition, and embraced logic and science) and the subsequent industrial revolution (still ongoing) and which has even industrialised science itself in the nature of giant government and private funded research establishments.

Magic and superstition is now on the average as good as cancelled when you look at the orientation of the upcoming generation...
Oh yes! The old magic and superstition seems to have gone...BUT WERE ONLY REPLACED WITH THE NEW ONES OF RELIGIOUS SUPERSTITION. Please do not get me wrong - I make a very firm distinction between religion (which is indespensable to man) and RELIGIOUS SUPERSTITION, which is just the mentally lazy mindset of ascribing any complex physical or social phenomena to spiritual causes instead of logical analysis and scientific research to find a solution. You take careful look around, you will find that the malaise of the elders have not escaped most of the youth. I think it is self evident.

So, I'm putting it to you that the problem wd the blackman 's land is not with the people and their believes . It's actually with the system that allows for grand cheating. Mind you the system is one designed for us by the whiteman you're telling us to copy word for word. Bro, the fact is that our 'destiny' is different and we just have to pave our own path by either changing the system totally or modifying it to suit . I choose the latter grin
When you advocate changing the system, we are on the same page. The issue is how? You do not point to an actual direction. You say: 'Our destiny is different' - there we go again with the spiritual instead of logical and scientific analysis. What is destiny? If the gravity at the poles is less than at equatorial african does it nullify the law of gravity or should we study and understand the concept properly? There are general physical, sociological and political principles that have be discovered by MAN using the scientific method and these principles hold true with respect to the universe. The rest of the world uses this scientific method to understand and manipulate the world. Why not use the same method to free yourself.

NOW, how to go about the clean up for the already messed up system?
I mean If Africa can domestically suffice for itself by believing in itself first, necessity will bring about inventions and we will come about to reign without losing our identity just because we wanna match-up with the world around. It will take a big Revolution for a dream this seemingly impossible to actualise.
Earlier on you said and I quote
"So, I'm putting it to you that the problem wd the blackman 's land is not with the people and their believes"
,Now you assert that Africa needs to believe in itself first.

This is self contradictory!

But if we have agreed that belief is crucial, then the next thing is the content of the belief system. And do not say belief in your self because it is too abstract and meaningless: believe in yourself as what? That you are god? Invincible, intelligent?...

I suggest that Africans simply shun superstition and completely embrace the scientific method as a reliable formula for understanding the world and changing physical realities.

Speak no more...we are lower than d whites...its a known fact.
The whiteman dominates you because he uses logical thinking and science. The blackman must learn to look beyond magic and spirit beings when searching for the explanation behind observed circumstances. There are logical and objective reasons for everything. When they are found, they can be corrected.

Say all you want to say but I feel Africa should be nuked and wiped of the map of the world.... We are not productive at all! Just consuming, consuming, consuming!

The last time I was in Italy, I discovered that the average white man sees the black man as a threat! Same views when I went to Germany and Turkey!

We dont actually manufacture or produce anything. We only depend on what they manufactured to create photocopies or assemble!
Dear exxell,
We can feel the anguish in your soul as you write. But...has it occured to you YOUR SPIRITUAL EXPLAINATION for the malaise you have observed in the black race, is actually the problem with the black race? You (blacks like you), no matter your exposure, refuse to objectively and scientifically study and master your physical and social environment with a view to change things for the better. Instead you are quick ( like the intellectually lazy) to jump to spiritual and magical causes of things.

Please wake up, my friend, open your eyes. The modern blackman is a traumatized being, a victim of historical circumstances. The struggle continues. The lot of the European white you idolize today was not much better than many African societies 1000 years ago. But it was the european rennaissance, when they embraced logical thinking in all things, chose scientific learning and rejected all kinds of superstition that saved them. You too should do the same and preach and convert as many of your fellows as you can, and you would surely see the the change.

Most blacks do not have a practical understanding of their physical and cultural world that will enable them to improve their world. YOU CANT CHANGE WHAT YOU DONT UNDERSTAND. We have our heads buried too deep in the sands of superstition, religion, and magic. This is what causes the irrational behaviour you observe. Its like a man trying to navigate his way with an inaccurate, or obsolete map.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the blackman that cannot be corrected by the blackman by simply waking up.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Chinese Drivers Hit To Kill- The Atheism Connection by holocron: 11:43am On Sep 05, 2015
Its not atheism. You correctly identified the cause in the article - the peculiar penalty used by the justice system.

Theist societies have produced even far worse atrocities in GOD'S NAME, as you should know. Is it the duelling sytem of settling disputes in europe only just banned in 19th century europe? What of the historic european witch hunts? African Slavery by the europeans, even supported by the church. Also don't forget that Hitler and the NAZI Germans of 2nd world war were christain God beleivers with firm righteous faith as they were perpetrating the Jewish holocaust. Examples are too many to list.

If anything, atheistic nations have committed less atrocities against their fellow man. At least they didnt do any of the stuff I listed above. China remains a civilization that never sought imperialist ic exploitation of weaker neighbors, only peaceful win-win relationships.

BusinessRe: The Nasty Economic Implications For Nigeria If Oil Price Drops To $30 by holocron: 12:51am On Aug 25, 2015
Bevista:
Your analysis only considers the NOMINAL price of oil. Once u account for inflation, then the REAL price of $30 oil in 2015 might be equivalent to $5 oil in 1970.

Also, when you consider how much our population has grown since 1970, then you will observe that the oil per capita in 2015 is much lower than in 1970.

Obviously, $30 oil price is disastrous for a mono-economy like Nigeria. Let's hope the government will be responsible and proactive enough to diversify the economy.
I believe you are right on the inflation since 1970, perhaps you may have exaggerated. It might be about half or maybe one-third. However, by the quantity of revenue lost via the oil scandals we keep hearing about, is it unreasonable to think that in actuality, the oil revenue available for government use all these time may be at this same $30?
