I am thinking that the attached video is just a propaganda white supremacist video, or else the man speaking in the video is deranged. In either case the ideas espoused is not worthy of serious consideration as the known history of the world fully accounts for the origin of the white race. It is historically evident that the present supremacy of the whiteman is not genetical and dates back less than 800 years ago. Before then they were at par or even less developed than other parts of the world.

History is important, but for much of subsaharan africa, I think it was lost, due to loss of written language and the humid cliimate that could not preserve much artefacts. However, the history is still there, engraved and encoded in the ancient traditions and culture. It can be decoded and recovered to serve as the ROOT you spoke of.

The tragedy of the blackman is that we have allowed ourselves to be hoodwinked into discarding our history encoded in the traditions and culture, and embraced an alien religion, history and culture which has failed to take root in us.

Persuasive argument, but I'm not sure this was the rationale behind mass conversion. It was more a bread and butter thing. The colonialists diverted the resources of the conquered territories away from the traditional economy and towards the upkeep of their new colonial structures. To access those resources, the 'natives' needed 'western education' to be able to work and earn as clerks etc. The colonialists insisted that in order to access that education, the 'native' had to abandon their 'heathen' religion and embrace christianity, and even adopt European names. Thus their schools doubled as christian missionary outposts, and one couldn't access the much needed education without abandoning one's God in favour of the foreign one. So I think economic coercion/blackmail by the colonialists played a big part in all this.

Most commenters have already told you that africans purposely chose to adopt the white man's rereligion because they were defeated and bamboozled by the science and technology of the whiteman. Because of their primitive naive animistic worldview, they interpreted this white supremacy in spiritual terms attributing it to the white God and thus mindlessly pursuing a oyibo religion in the hopes of solving every earthly problem. I know like many Igbos you're confused when you learnt Andonis are Ijaws, it is very common to find such naivety amongst Igbos, afterall a lot you still think the Kalabaris, okrikans, Nembes, Ibanis and the rest are different ethnic groups.

Andonis lost their Original Defaka dialect but evolved an entirely new language based on the original Ijaw intonation and an Ibibio/efik structure, they still retain losts of Ijaw words like the Yoruboid speaking Apoi Ijaws of Ondo state.

The loss/evolution of dialects occur at the borders/fringes areas of Ijawland and the evidence is everywhere, even E.K Clark's community Kiagbodo bordering Urhobo communities to the north is largely Urhobo speaking.

A country is certainly as big as its President and as small as its President makes it look. The United States of America is well respected in the comity of nations because they have always been lucky enough to have leaders with high self esteem, not necessarily because of any material blessings from Nature.
