It's dangerous to monopolize that sector for again for Dangote. He might start producing substandard product at exorbitant prices without checks.

CareerRe: Should I Japa Or Stay In Nigeria? by Holuwathoby(m): 12:12pm On Dec 18, 2023
Miracle112:
Hello Nlanders..
please I need advice on whether to relocate abroad or stay and invest in Nigeria .
I just graduated from the university and I’ll turn 28 in a few months time.
I come from a very poor family, I sponsored myself through the university as matter of fact I am the first graduate in the family.
I am here to seek advice from experts and enlightened nairalanders.
I have over 50m in real estate and I intend to sell 50% of my properties to raise funds for an online marketplace i intend to launch in Nigeria but I’m having a double mind as there’s no 100% guarantee that the business will succeed…
Since I just graduated from the university, should I rather use 25m to relocate abroad and further my studies or stay in Nigeria and invest the 25m ?
I don’t want to regret selling my properties to relocate abroad for studies.. I don’t even know if 25m would be enough to further my studies in any first world countries since I’ll have no support from family.

So my people, should I japa for studies with 25m or stay an invest in my fatherland?

For those wondering how I made over 50m as a fresh graduate. I didn’t make the money in 1 day or 1 month. I do land banking, crypto trading and farming.
Please travel-out. Nigeria is your home. You can always come back to pursue your startup. Please travel-out and go explore other opportunities before you settle for anyone.

Sharmeenator:
I finally bought the 2003 Civic after series of searches. More than 2 months after purchase, i'm happy I went for it. The car is strong, fast, and fuel efficient. I drove it from Lagos to Onitsha and back without any hitch. 11k fuel took us to Onitsha and back and I still used it within Lagos.

Meanwhile, I just created this thread. Your inputs will be greatly appreciated.

with your budget only the 1.4L European Corolla fits into your budget as tokunbo, though most are converted to LHD may be you can do a sedan 4 door Yaris then if it ain't too small.

there are other reliable cars it's not tantamount you buy a Toyota product.

08 to 12 Corolla tokunbo starts around 2.2 or 2.5m maybe the price you were given is minus custom duty.
I so appreciate your guide, Chief Nurey.
I will go with one of your recommendations; Civic, Hyundai or Kia.

I will sure get back to you as event unfolds.

thanks alot

Honda Civic 01-05

Honda City or Honda fit less than 2010

Kia Rio 06 to 2011

Hyundai Accent 06 to 2011

if you have seen any car you like you can also ask about it
Thanks much for the reply. I so much appreciate it.

I like Toyota Corolla too, but good toks seems to be on the high side compare to my quoted budget.

Someone said I can get good Corolla 2010 for 1.75M direct from USA, that it's better than the common Corolla 2003 - 2007 but I wasn't convince enough.
I will rather listen and align with your counsel.

what do you think and can recommend as per Corolla?

budget for the car is 1M - 1.5M

I will love a beautiful car that is rugged and low on maintenance
I reside in Ibadan.
Many thanks

When NEPA takes light at night and you hear the challenge from the opposite block

" Ejade eje ka bu ra wa oo."

translated " come out and let us abuse ourselves oo"

In one of our sparrings in Angola B10 year 2001

I remember asking my room mate " Ajibola Israel" if his noisy fan was really a fan or a sowing machine?, he took it in stride and cheekily asked if it was a human being talking to him or a grinding machine?

OAU was mad fun. 2000-2005.
I was allocated and lived in same Angola B10 in 2012.
