I just got my CAS draft and i have confirmed it by sending a confirmation mail. In respect to the funds in my dad's bank account. the amount has been there for 4 months now. but he made a withdrawal of 1million out of the account just last week. making it about 2.5million his closing balance. do you think am good to go. planning on submitting my application on Monday next week. As from my calculation visa applications now take 10 - 15 working days. and my school latest date of resumption is 7/10/2013. i believe before 26/08/2013 i should be good to go. just praying and believing in God.

just called the school agent in Nigeria to university of south wales. he said the school wants wants me to apply for another CAS for February. just confused. and from my calculation i still have enuf time to make September. and he told me he appealed to them to assist me get the CAS for September. just thinking maybe God wants me to go next year... Please can one apply for Visa for February intake...

Visas are usually processed within three (3) months to commencement of Resumption Date and your CAS must not be 6 months old by the time you apply. I guess the school is requesting for those documents because of your former refusal. Reply them promptly and tell them the reason of initial refusal. I'm seriously hoping and praying God works it out for you soonest.

Issuing a new CAS has turned war 4 me.. The skool requested my refusal letter i scanned and sent to dem. Stated in d letter was. No prove of sponsorship as. A multinational company. Now my full fee has been paid. And they skool is delaying in processing d CAS. D issue is dis. D skool agent here is calling me 2 now taking d case personal. Cos i did not meet him to fill my form. excuse me please.. I did not argue with justwise. point of correction. I was sponsored by the company I work with. Its a leading servicing firm in Nigeria. The issue is this. I did not have access to the funds because the chairman of the company will not pay the money into my account. I had lack words to express how I felt during this period. My brother works with this company too and lots of people have been sponsored by this company on training.. UK law changes..... I tried to convince the department head in charge but he would not listen to me. NOw am claiming the opportunity by using my mom's account.... Have been able to Pay the full tuition fee and now have a bank statement of 2.5million.
I really appreciate this room. I want to commend you guys for your supports. you advice and helpful tips are truly important.
I still owe you guys my appreciation for all your good works....

I'm actually not angry my bro! Just giving a piece of my mind. A guy once "argued" with Justwise's advice a few weeks ago and the outcome of his "stubborness" was his visa refusal (I'm sorry I'm mentioning this but we have to be frank sometimes). The guy eventually came back here asking for more advise on how to start all over. My point is this: Once you're given advice here, reason with it and do more research if necessary BUT never argue/contradict the advice thus confusing yourself.

Bro, don't leave for Abuja until you have your appointment booked else you'll be spending unnecessarily. Don't let your past visa refusal affect you. Contact your school tomorrow and hope the extension reflects in your CAS. If it doesn't and they reply you via mail, print the mail & attach it to your application documents. Once you get your CAS, go online & submit your VAF9 & book appointment for the earliest day; then go to Abuja a day before the appointment day. All the best!

I was refused a visa b4 becos i used a company sponsorship letter and bank statement. Now i want to make another application again, i paid the balance tuition fee making it a complete tuition fee paid for and my dad gave one of his bank statement that reads 2.4million for more than 28 days. Can i make another application with dis. My mom has 2 accounts with a closing balance of 2.5million. Bt one is 10k USD and the other in Naira. Can i use the statement since i need to show my maintenace fee only. 7200. It's late except you get an extension from the school. It's a good option if you can pay your fees tomorrow & if you already have your parent's account statement which has had that 2.5m for 28 days. With this option, you can submit your application next week when your CAS arrives and you'll have 15 working days. I'd advice that you have your school give you at least one week (2 weeks will be cool) extension or grace period and tell them to reflect it on your CAS. If this plan works and you submit before next Friday, then you should be fine. Don't forget to get the letter of consent from your parents before they travel.

I'm sorry about that. It's happened already so let's just learn & move forward. BHC doesn't receive company unless it's an internationally recognised company which is well grounded... Rules are rules and your parents must know that. Yes, you can use your parent's account (so long you present (1) valid & original birth certificate AND (2) A letter of consent from them indicating their permission & consent to make the funds therein available to you; and signed.) But please if possible, let them transfer the money into your account; it's less thing to get a refusal on.

Dont you think its too late to start counting 28 days, school resumes on the 23rd of september... am trying to pay the remaining fee tommorrow. and request for a new cas and also use a bank statement with 2.5m covering maintenance fee. what do you think

If you are using your parents account then they are your sponsor and there is nothing wrong with that.




Your parents can use more than one account as long as the two accounts are in their names and contains the required amount of money.

They can give you a letter permitting you to use their account (Letter of consent)

This is an interesting question and over the years we have not really touched on the issue of using parent's bank account + the 28days counting.

There is no Yes or No answer to this but this is the issue...
(1)....if your parents account is older than 28days and contains all the money needed to cover for fees and maintenance money on it then you can print it out and use for visa application without waiting for 28days (remember to add your birth certificate)

(2).... if the account is older than 28days with not enough money to cover for fees and maintenance money then you will start counting the 28days the very day you have enough money in that account to cover for your fees and maintenance money.

I strongly advice you go thru direct flight. Save the time and stress. Once u arrive London from the airport you can take taxi to the Coach station. Megabus is kinda cheap. And u get to see around UK why u make d trip. 5hours.frm London.

Its better you go through BA(british airways) or KLM, or Virgin airways.. Both airlines are good. Since u ve neva been to d UK b4 i will advice u go on a direct flight. Arik is a bit expensive nw. And d services are nt 2 good. I love BA becos am use to it, dnt go thru Qatar or any Asia flights. D distance is 2 much. BA is very cheap. Book return ticket.

The tuition fee was paid by the company and a letter of sponsorship was issued to him and my parents also wrote a letter of identification and acknowledgement of the sponsorship. Also der data pages and visa pages. The company also provide him with all der documents and a 6month bank statement was given to him. And he got is visa. Am saying this because i never heard of the 28 days not until recently. I see alot of people using personal accounts. I insisted the money be paid to my account but the company said they cant do so. That d company official sponsorship letter covers its all. I am kinda scared bt am trusting in God.
