Yes I work in the IT domain as a developer. I don't know about avoiding the factory job for a start, my experience was that I had to do that for a couple of months before I got a student position as a developer, others experience may differ from mine though.

I am yet to see anybody I know in Germany with skills in the IT domain without a job and that doesn't mean they got the job after a couple of Job applications but with persistence and focus they all did. So, like I said previously with your skills , you should get a job. However, I can't say how long that would take.

I believe you would get a student job with your skills even without speaking German. From ... experience I didn’t need German to get my student job and I also have a full time job right now after graduation and I don’t speak any German.

Pls I have a general question for IT guys in DE. I have started learning programming (started with PYTHON) in Nigeria before arriving DE. But I noticed that programming is too wild and there are so many areas to delve into and I have to choose one area so that I won't just be learning without a goal and focus.

Hey! I would say you should stick to python for data analysis and learn sql afterwards. I studied IT Engineering and all my course mates that choose to go that route are all gainfully employed after graduation. Python for web development in my opinion is not as widely used as python for data analysis.
