Religion / Re: New Year's 2020, & Of Course Has 20 Repeating Itself, but Why? Happy 2020 Y'all. by Holycity(f): 7:31am On Jan 03, 2020
MuttleyLaff:
Happy New and rewarding Year to you CaveAdullam. I am filled with awe, even, still, long after finding out the meaning of your moniker.

I digress, but back to the new year 2020. Not many have thought of the significance of 20, actually repeating itself in this new year, you know repeating just like in those sort of "truly, truly ..." John 1:51, John 3:3 etcetera Johannine biblical intro phrases, and the thing is, it is repeating itself for a "credible" and truthfully significant reason(s). Yeah, its the season thanks to one mister PrecisionFx, for getting me to use the word "credible" here, lol. "Credible" is in vogue thanks to him, lol. Anyway, as I was saying, the new year, apparently is sounding off a robust and/or uncompromising message(s) to whom and/or those applicable, by deliberately and consciously repeating the number twenty twice.

I know there's the negative and positive sides of the number 20, but I strongly believe that because of the 20 repetition being done, in this case, twice, then this year is really all about the positives, and so its identifying with those, more so than with the negatives.

For the sake of twenty, God will not destroy (i.e. Genesis 18:31, lol) Happy rewarding 2020, CaveAdullam.

With that said and done, here's a Happy 2020 to the, our ọga, at the top, Seun.

Religion / Superstition And Fear by Holycity(f): 9:34pm On Jun 22, 2019
SUPERSTITION AND FEAR

 Superstition does not exist when we know what the actually causes it. Superstition grows out of ignorance, limited knowledge and flourishes on fear. Superstitions that arise from interpretations of religious dogmas and creeds are very difficult to remove. Attempt to disprove them reflects upon religious precepts and causes hostile reaction that justifies continued support of superstitions.

 But religious superstitions can be removed only through personal evolution and inner urge for higher concepts. With full understanding and assimilation, we can also fault previous superstitions, and wilfully decide to courageously cast them aside. But many superstitions have no foundation in religion.

 With talismanic practices as superstition, we hold the belief that when we carry or wear some article or item, or amulet, and venerate them, such amulet brings to us some good fortune. Psychologically such talismanic practices strangely affect our reasoning as long as we clasp, stroke, kiss the talisman or object of superstition, in veneration. While we receive what we wish for, belief in superstition is consequently strengthened.

 Since man believes that nothing “just happens” and there is cause for everything, whether known or unknown, he attributes what he does not understand to unknown cause, and credits it to supernatural powers. Man fears and respects things that he does not understand or master. There is no relationship between education and lack of superstition and one who is educated may not be free of superstition, because many highly educated persons, even in professional walks of life, are exceedingly superstitious.

 Fetishism is another kind of superstition, consisting of carrying or wearing the belonging of departed relative or dear friend with belief that such article has power to protect. When we believe that carrying an article possesses the attributes or powers of the original owner, our belief becomes definitely fetishism, believing the article to actually become infused with supernatural power.

 Though superstition is still prevalent today, and some older forms no longer survive, new ones germinate simply because our mind is susceptible to superstition. To avoid being superstitious, through fetishism, we must understand the causes of things around us and not presume, or pretend, to know the cause; such presumption, without foundation, is dangerous. Secondly, we must remember that there is no such thing as supernatural because only the cosmic and natural laws exist.
Religion / Karma by Holycity(f): 9:20pm On Jun 22, 2019
KARMA

What is karma?

Karma is based on the principle that: what you sow, you reap. It can be explained in terms of cause and effect. The cause refers to your actions and the effect refers to the consequences of those actions. Therefore, karma is a debt you owe or a blessing you shall receive. There are two types of karma: negative and positive. Negative or bad karma refers to the consequences you have to face due to negative actions. Positive or good karma refers to spiritual blessings that will come your way due to positive actions or selfless good deeds.

God has made laws by which His universe is governed, and it is the duty of all His creations to follow those laws. It is their duty, but they cannot be forced into doing anything – this is the nature of free will. So whatever choice you make is up to you, but even if you choose not to follow God’s laws you will always operate under them. No soul is beyond spiritual law.

How does karma work?

Can positive and negative karma cancel each other out? The two do not cancel each other out, so you will have to pay for your misdeeds, and you will receive spiritual blessings for the good deeds. Good and bad karma are completely separate from each other. A person can build karma with his or her thoughts as well. Karma is a result not only of action, but of thought and words as well. All three go hand in hand.

How does negative karma come to a person?

It can come to you as mental, physical, or emotional pain, in the form of problems with health, family, money, legalities, and so on. Illness can be something you have chosen to go through in order to pay off your karmic debt. This is the idea behind negative karma – you are using this earthly life to pay off a debt. This debt was created not only in past lives but in your current life as well.

Do not be under the impression that you are only paying for the wrong deeds you have done in a previous life. You could have come to Earth with little karma, a small karmic debt, but if you are on the wrong path now, you are adding negative karma as you continue to live your life. The understanding of karma is actually very useful to human beings because there are times when pain comes your way, and you do not know why. This pain is something you have chosen because it is necessary for your spiritual growth. Knowing this, you will be able to go through it more gracefully. Never lose an opportunity to undo the wrong deeds you have done. It is a blessing to resolve past issues in this life on Earth itself, rather than procrastinate because of your pride. You must resolve the karma with each particular person in this lifetime only; you can pay off karma much easily and more quickly in this manner than if you wait to pay it off in another life. If you don’t undo the wrong you have done now , your negative karma increases because God has given you an opportunity, which you chose to reject.
Family / Re: He Abandoned Me With Pregnancy. Please Where Can I Report Him For Child Support? by Holycity(f): 7:01pm On Jun 18, 2019
most ladies here are supporting her
I don't know why but dragging a guy was not even in relationships with you is wrong first he is not convinced that the baby she is carrying is he's...
I could say for sure that she is a Gold digger and someone who desperate for marriage

she saw the guy as potential husband material

I could also say they never dated. he was not her boyfriend if he was she would av know he was married except she was too dump to notice it, beside people can talk, she would have heard it somewhere

she dont know any member of his family or where he's from or even his friends which also mean he was not her boyfriend
if he was her boyfriend the story would have be different even the guy parent would have taken responsibility if he's refusing knowing you were his girl

now she met him 40 not married, and no serious relationship and maybe saw on facebook where he is working and wanted to key it...
his live-in girl left him, she was happy and maybe thought that the guy sent the lady away because of her. so she decided to have a baby for him since he has not been married and doesn't have any children.....

she had 101 chance not to get pregnant
first the guy did not rape her which means she should av insisted on "NO SEX WITHOUT CONDOM" if she say that maybe the guy would have look for condoms or there will be no sex.
secondly she said the guy gave her 2k, if she did not want the pregnancy morning after pills is #100 over the counter
thirdly when she discovered she was pregnant maybe in weeks time or probably a month she would have gotten rid of it with pills over the counter at that time the child is not form yet

she knows about all this things that am saying because if this is her first pregnancy then she has been doing one or more of the above listed to keep herself from unwanted pregnancy but this time she didn't do anything because she wanted the baby....

am also fixing myself in the guy shoes, the guy don't want the baby maybe because it was a one night stand and he thinks the baby may not be his....

all of you that are saying he should take responsibility of the child. if a notorious girl in your street cums out to tell you that your brother is responsible for her pregnancy will you believe... no right
judge for yourself
