and surely, we know who is the better team though, even Di Stefano knows better.

Yea Ogazi, I sure will root for Ibrahim doing it against Marcelo, the guy is absolute bollocks in defense and i look forward to him tripping Affelay in the 18 yard box.

karpenter:
If truth be told, it baffles me how real Madrid fans are all of a sudden exuberant just for clutching a worthless draw at home against a rival team that are in front by 8 points. Is that how "near to the ground" and mediocre that the “special one” has turned Real Madrid of all clubs – 9 times European champions with most la liga tittles? How are the mighty falling.

Come to think of it, if Barca’s title hope depended on that match, I am 100% certain they would have won it. Madrid admirers should stop celebrating a mere draw that has perhaps dealt the ultimate death blow to their la liga aspirations.
As for Messi, I will hate him also, if I was in your shoes, sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you have said it all man, for a neophyte in footie who just tuned in and listening to the bullocks being propounded by Los Blancos and her FAN -A-tics , he may think that Madrid was just promoted from 3rd division, for petes sake, this is a Spanish and European giant who is not performing at the level its used to, instead of looking inwards to get things right, they are talking poo.

You are a real Cule, you can always pop over to ''Mes Que Un Club thread'' for some good mind rubbings, we have got great guys there and all our comments are basically on the thread.

Dressing up as a small team

Mourinho said he always trains with a ‘10 against 11’ game-plan whenever he has had to face the Blaugranas. If so, then it would do Barca some good if they are to train and develop a ‘11 against 10’ game-plan. For two reasons: One, if Madrid still insist on playing like a small inferior team, insisting on playing at the back, giving up the pitch, the ball, and all the initiative to Barca, then it is only natural that one of them will get his marching orders again. If I am Mourinho, I would train not for a ‘10 against 11’ but a ‘9 against 11’ game-plan for if Pepe is to play in the same position, with the same kind of role, repeating the same kind of performance, the Brazilian-born Portuguese is certain not to finish the game, grin cheesy

I will be glad to stop maintaining HITV alongside DSTV, its a Nija company quite alright but they failed to get their acts right.

@Stealth, well we are all rocking in the same ship, its well with us, meanwhile I am beginning to appreciate how Affelay cuts in on his attack but some good finishing is needed which should pep up his confidence, I guess Iniesta has a partner in shot taking in him.

Villa, Villa, Villa, what can possible be wrong with our man? huh he's jaded in front of goal post, I vividly remember one through pass (amongst many) that he needed to apply pressure behind the ball, he just simply passed the ball to IKer the way Fabre-pass gave the ball to us for Messi's wonder goal against Aluminium

Perhaps he will break his duck against Madrid grin

Hi Guys,

@Stealth, saw your comment on Total Barca site, i really do not think there is nothing much to bother about those permutations, JM and Madrid is fixated on us Barca, people almost forgot that this is supposed to be a clasico, with Madrid playing at home and having lost to Barca severally in the past and also with the presence of their so called ''special done'', the onus is on them not us, we are topping the league and topping them.

Pep has always proved predictable in his line up and formation, and we all have to live with that.

Footie is not all about plotting and tactical bum-haha, other elements are factorized and officiating has come to be a very big factor, if Madrid players had collected all the deserved cards in the 1st half and Villa had been awarded his deserving penalty, perhaps we all could be singing another song. I bet if JM comes out tomorrow and tells the world he purposely allowed the Manita thrashing as a game plan in order to get back at Barca in future, everyone will be suckered in undecided,

We should respect him but do not need to deify him.

Goodmorning fellow cules,

I cant inser quotes of comments I wanted to highlight.

Someone mentioned Abidal and Puyi for the remainning classico's, with Abi's opeartion, he is out for the rest of the season and Puyi should be allowed to fully recover,as can be seen, the same Arsenal rush back mistake has happened again and he may be out for ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ rest of ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ season.

Like someone pointed out, it would have been a damaging psychy for our 1st eleven if they had been piqued by Madrid, am sure Pep is mostly influenced and goaded on by his Catalan pride, I believe if it were to be a neutral coach from elsewhere, he wouldn't have fielded his strongest side giving ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ upcoming scenarios. Altho I know ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ catalan cules would "skin" him alive if he were to field a second stringed side that gets thrashed by Madrid.

I whole heartedly agree with ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ statement that we lack outside options apart from our 1st eleven, if Pep have been giving serious playing times to ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ others,I bet we would have impactful subs on ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ bench,I really marvelled @ Mou's bench, and also the man didnt talk much,I bet he saw how Scholes ran his mouth @ Citey and got his marching orders and caused his team a place in the finals. Classico officiating hasn't always been easy but this one surely will go down as a crap one,if the ref hadn't given Albiol red,I wouldn't have been suprised and isn't a wonder that the ref gave a penalty call to Madrid and handed a yellow to another player ??

Villa's performance continues to grow from woe to woe,10 games barren run for a striker getting fully playing time, same as his compatriot "Fernandont Scoreless", altho that one scored an offside goal yesterday. Villa thoroughly disappointed.

RomanceRe: Avoiding Long Phone Conversations With Women? by holydante(m): 8:11am On Apr 12, 2011
No matter how interesting and neck deep in love you may be with your partner, trust me there will always be a limit to phone conversations.

Some couple of years past, I had a date with this babe working with a telecoms coy here, since i was using same network with her, it became easier for her to call. How she maneuvered her way as regarding call bill settlement, I just cant tell but men, our phone bills would have ran in to hundreds of quid

We talked for hours on end, and in about 4 days, I had told my life history and daily activities from childhood till adulthood and then ran out of tales about my life, she switched to analyzing everything under the face of the sun, it got to the extent that, she will refuse to end the call and want the line on while I was working, eating, in transit, in the loo etc, cry

While in office, she will use their general call line, after her work hours, she switched to her own official line, on few occasions I managed to call her to even up, my monthly call card allowance always gets swallowed up and when it cuts off for me to back off, she dials back sharply,, it became harrowing and energy-draining, I complained, she told me she is hurt and besides she has not asked me to take the bills shocked, we were like this for about 8 months plus, the relationship later crashed and guess the contributing factor to the crash cheesy grin

Now, i keep it short and simple through Green-bag-kinda unwelcoming ''grunts'' and ''oh! what did you just say now'', believe me, if i aggregate all the ladies phone conversations I have had till date, its not up to a quarter of my 8 months marathon with my ex. huh

Laliga is not as competitive as Epl yet all the records the best coach on planet earth had accrued over the time in different leagues have disappeared.if the special one had an inkling that it was gonna be this tough,he would not have dreamt of coming to laliga.he has never taken 5 and Barca gave him manita,he has not lost a home game in any league for 9 years, and sporting Gijon destroyed that wonderful record,he has won the league in his first year for his previous clubs, and even though laliga is not over yet mathematically,i bet you will never day dream of winning the trophy when you have Almighty Barca 8points ahead of your team with less than nine games to play for.i know he will be looking for an exit route now, besides Perez will not spare him if he fails to deliver CL or kings cup this season.Mau is a very wonderful coach, but laliga is teaching him how to be humble.
Quite a tidy piece for him to reflect on, he is still in all 3 competitions so to speak. but taking a manita and loosing in his fortress at last?!! I cant fit shout cheesy

*singing in Wyclef's voice*, oh baby when Y☺u play like thaaaat, U̶̲̥̅̊ make ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ Cules go mAad, shakira-shakiraaaaa!!!!!!(Chorus till fade)

Goodmorning guys, Haha. ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ waka waka effect. For minutes on end I wondered where ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ goal(s) will come from, Messi is forever a game changer, imagine ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ way they swarmed all over him,I even saw trepidation on ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ madrigal's faithful when he was about to come in, so much for Mmesoma. Y☺u guy's analysis have said it all, any further comments from me is gonna be pure "plagiarism" I bow in respect.

I laffed out loud on the 2 "needful" yellow cards, I bet ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ Mou factor has come to stay and surely we thank him for his ingenuity. His home record finally over, he really tried though, hez a great coach, I guess ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ Bernabeu classico is gonna be academic for us.

Someone asked after ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ match thread? One unique thing is that we congregate @ this thread for all our thoughts, its gonna take 3-Nija-sized-ruling-party's rigging-machineries to get us outta this thread. We say it here.

@JP88, quite some thoughtful comments from Y☺u,but my man,21st century soccer thrives on speculation and rumor mills, that's basically how market worth is increased,be that as it may, we cannot rule out ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ JM factor, he made this idea a reality and any coach who wants to prove his mettle now, will have to attempt replicating his success elsewhere (JM style) but I guarantee Y☺u that most of them will fail if they stick to this philosophy. Well, we will wish him luck when and if he decides to leave, but I saw raw passion and grit yesterday ooo, Pep and Valdes will win awards for how animated they were @ Madrigal.

Note of concern, how do one explain D.Villa's run of lack lustre performance. Whenever he is on ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ ball, my psyche will always predict a woeful outcome and sadly he proves me right time and time again. An A-grade striker?? Its really unbecoming.

I had a view of Shaktars league performance on sat, those bunch are clinical finishers and they have gone above 10 points clear @ d top, I dont expect a clean slate on wed, we must not play to ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ gallery and opportunities should and must be taken, no 100% effort to work ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ ball inside of ‎d̶̲̥̅̊ net, shots and corners should be attempted(sadly, I can prempt Pep, I dont expect any change from what we are used to, loll). I am banking on Dani that day.

Happy sunday as Jega continues to jega our monday

lol@JP88, Scantee has always been around, site reports has it that Bojan is suffering from a grade 1 sprain on his right ankle (Wiki research has it as ''A mild sprain or one that causes slight stretching with minimal damage to the fibres in the ligament), the Medcs. are optimistic of an early recovery

Although our culture does not thrive in wishing others pain, but perhaps like you all pointed out, Pep will have to look the way of Afellay and Nolito at last grin

The rumors about Messi's injury aint abating at all, muscular, hamstring etc, in fact i have stopped reading and listening joor, its mind quaking

Guys,

The below is from Total Barca, am kinda wondering, with all the options at our beck and call, is this the best we can get? We have never been know to make shrewd buys under Pep. Read on plss,

FC Barcelona’s MVP strikeforce has been amazing this season, racking up even more goals than in previous years. But our attack is one serious injury away from crisis: Bojan has been in indifferent form [and that's being generous], Jeffren has been struck down with chronic injuries, and Affelay is as yet unproven.

The hunt for more depth in attack has taken Barcelona scouts to the farthest reaches of the football world, but if reports in Sport this week are to be believed, the solution may very well rest in our own backyard: Villarreal.

Pep Guardiola has made no secret of his affection for Villarreal strikers Giuseppe Rossi and Nilmar. But the mutual flirting has recently reached beyond simple rumors. Under the headline “Rossi is crazy with desire to wear the Barcelona colors,” Sport quoted Rossi’s agent as saying that “No one could resist the lure of playing in Barcelona.”

This kind of media flirtation is nothing new in the football world, but the idea does begin to incite the imagination when you consider the possibilities. For his part, Rossi has scored 26 goals this season in all competitions, with 15 of them coming in Liga matches. Both attackers play in a system not unlike Guardiola’s, and while neither player would be inexpensive, they would hardly command the transfer fee, or wages, of a Torres or a Tevez.

Unfortunately, we’ll all get to see the Villarreal strikeforce in action next week, as they will be our next Liga opponents. In the meantime: what do you think?

Johnpaul88:
My take on this issue of rotation is that Pep is somewhat, helpless on that. The idea of winning almost all matches , sadly leaves him with little options of rotating players. If u take a look at what Mourihno does at RM, u will find out that the situation is the same. The pressure to win all matches, burns the coaches out. Like yesterday, Christiano Ronaldo entered the derby match,a little unfit. He came out worse and has now been ruled out for up to 3 weeks. He is a doubt for CL first leg. Mou thought he could not win the match without him. The same happens to us as well. I guess Pep is not to blame. He simply can't help it.

Get well Abidal and Puyol.
I couldnt agree less with you my brother. I guess this is where they should put on their thinking cap and pull things out of the extra ordinary.

Both clubs are in the crucial stages of their seasons competition and woe shall it be if their mainstay players are laid off due to injuries that could have possibly been averted.

International break on us with 12 of ours called up (thats a full team and a sub cheesy) i hope this doesn't spell doom for any one.

May providence keep all of them safe and from @Evans-like-tackles grin
