Suprising substitution by Pep, Bojan for Villa!! Maybe hez reserving him for the mid week match. Our trade mark off the ball movement isn't really as it has always been. Well, its 3 points that matters though. Afellay shld be brought into this fray pls |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: FC Barcelona Fan Thread: "Més Que Un Club" by holydante(m): 11:16pm On Jan 08, 2011 |
Lol, I was about to say that Messi will surely pop in a goal as its been a while he scored and next was his mazy slalom run, tug down and slam dunk free kick into Aranzubia's net Ole Ole |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: FC Barcelona Fan Thread: "Més Que Un Club" by holydante(m): 11:10pm On Jan 08, 2011 |
Meanwhile Abidal's goal was a 50-50 turf, a man u side wld hve had such a goal allowed by the English epl officials. It was a classic defence splitting pass by messi, and also Iniesta had an opportunty of scoring same goal like Xavi against Madrid I think messi Goal Messiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii |

Yea Stealthy, Eagle observation by you. Villa's history against Depor continues. I believe if the team taps in a quick 2nd goal, we may see Affelay, Alves and Bojan likely. Depor has shown some flashes though but I believe the 3 points is us for grabs. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: FC Barcelona Fan Thread: "Més Que Un Club" by holydante(m): 10:16pm On Jan 08, 2011 |
Its a full house, d staduim almost filled to the brim, such don't intimidate us. We have a full squad too, suprise starters Adriano, Keita and Mascherano. Busquests, Xavi and Alves chilling on the bench, hmmmmm Anyway High 5 Barsa!! 3 points not negotiable On Barca I stand |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Attention: Chelsea Fans: Change Of Name by holydante(m): 7:17pm On Jan 08, 2011 |
Lol, Haba! This is uncalled for abeg,he who is down fears no fall. If you feel strongly like this, what do you say to the perenial season-ticket holders and those with substantial investment in shelsi? Carlo was celebrated for the double last season and they started with a bang this season but the financial doping has caught up with them. No signnings to rejuvenate the side and lack of emphasis on their youth development. I believe the egg heads who earn their living @ chealski are more bothered than "u" and are racking their brains on how to get themselves up again, they had better do cause an epl with only man u is a boring affair (asssnal is a write off, looserpool is still fighting to be among the top 10) I believe you can't win them all. The true test of a club supporter is the overall long term loyalty during glory and dark days. On Barca I stand |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (R.I.P Bawomolo). by holydante(m): 3:50pm On Jan 08, 2011 |
Funny performance, shaky backline for asssnal, Leeds had an opportunity to wrap up this game and throw dem asssenehole wengay bois outta d FA cup. Less-than-average-show by midget asharvin, he expects d ball to land @ his feet, hez terribly lazy. One wonders why this miserly frenchman doesn't give walcot ample playing time, that guy is a bomb waiting to explode, a decent club shld bid for him abeg. Anyway this will keep arsenal playing twice every week for a very long time, and this should naturally lead to squad depletion b4 Champions league hostilities. Barca is waiting for you guys come Feb. You don't deserve to get beyond this round of CL with this display. On Barca we stand |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: FC Barcelona Fan Thread: "Més Que Un Club" by holydante(m): 12:16am On Jan 06, 2011 |
Phew!!! O my lawd,it was really a heart in the mouth game for us, took us over an hour to make the net quake from an unlikely source,Abidal in the 75 minute or so (his 1st goal for Barca) and Llorente for Athletic in the dying moments of the match characterised by fluffed opportunities. We are through on away goal. Just saw your lines now stealth, yea, I sure do hope that pep will not be gambling with our midfield style of play by fielding such composition where we now find it difficult to play our style, good job by Iniesta and Pedro, we are in a rat race with madrid and we should not assume that opponents will easily capitulate to anything we field. Its amazing when they say la liga aint competitive, that other team' defense go soft on Barca, I followed all d epl matches tonight and with man u's not-so-stellar-performance yet they are topping the chart with a game in hand.asssnal,looserpool,shelsi,city,tottenham-all dropping points, its not as if the lower teams fortified themselves, the fact is that the big 5 in epl have lost form and not much signings, this will obviously haunt them when hostilities resume in champions league. The hallmark of any good team is consistency (occassional loss can be pardoned tho) as shown by barca and madrid. On Barca I stand |

Hi Stealthy, Its a silent observation that most folks would rather not voice out so as not to upset the apple cart, since Pep came on board, its the norm to favor them but hey, they are yielding results and so not much complaint, besides Sir Alex doesn't favour African players and he achieves results too. we hope for the best but it will be sad to let Milito go, i felt so bad when we offloaded Eto'o. We need a win or draw this night but hey, i want us to go for the kill tonight. Goodluck lads |

meanwhile on a naughty note, we used to sit around the neighbourhood and point out ladies with no undies at late evening near a joint close to our crib, dem backs will be flabby and at times the skirts get stuck in between you-know-what., and finally we were caught one day by my aunt and some decent spanking followed suit. |
Romance / Re: Can You Leave Home Without Wearing Pants? (underpants) by holydante(m): 5:05pm On Jan 05, 2011 |
i think i stopped wearing pants during my early teen years. We were told then that it shrinks the dyke and our obsession then was to have the largest phatest badonkie (apologies cork) though we later dis covered that the theory was absolute crap. I wear boxers all year round, let the thingy receive free air and let it enjoy democracy too |

Education / Re: Who Is To Be Blame For Student's Poor Performance? by holydante(m): 3:28pm On Jan 05, 2011 |
during my time in the late 80's and early 90's, *access to TV and other recreational activities were so limited. outing times were basically church bazaar, old cinema and trade fair (all annual event) *My Nintendo game boy and bricks game were only released to me during holidays (in addition to attending intensive lessons during hols) *I watched telly with my pop and most often the CRT TV was permanently tuned to CNN and NTA channel *Novel and newspaper reading is a must, articles discussed. *My books and scores were inspected after school everyday as i come home to meet my parents, latest 4pm, they were home from work *I liked footie then but the epl and liga coverage and broadcast wasn't as it is now *American, Indian movies and wrestling were the norm then but its only about once a week that I was allowed to watch. Every other time was meant for reading, books, library, lesson, books, books, books, books, and i guess one is better for it today. Such things are no longer enforceable, soccer, nba, home videos, cinema, Sony play station, digicam, lappy, fb etc. are the order of the day I visited my friends home @ lekki, his 9 yr old boy has a flat screen telly mounted on his room wall with dual view decoder . The boy has enuff gadgets in his room that will make my father think twice about locking out my siblings and I from his dusty living room when we were growing up But the poser is this, the western world have all these we may consider as distractions to our society but their youths are coming up with innovations etc and are becoming millionaires and billionaires in their young age while here, they fail simple exams in their droves |

Happy new year and many thanks for your incisive and educative feedback. I am wondering about the protein presence you mentioned in the urinalysis, I am in my mid 30's and i have reason to believe that i tend to consume a lot of proteinous foods, am wondering where the excess proteins should go to and what threat does it portend to ones well being Cheers |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo Voted 2010-11 La Liga Player Of The Season So Far by holydante(m): 4:06pm On Jan 03, 2011 |
Happy new year guys!! I was thinking that 2011 may possible exorcise certain traits from some folks here but I just shake my head. What a kindergerten story in 2011!!! This woman's obsession with christiana is too glaring and is gradually turning into cause for concern, imagine the cheeky info, readers of goal.com? Not even espn or fifa site, just readers of a site? Geez, someone needs help here. There has not been and NEVER will be basis for comparison between Mmesoma Messi and petulant-christiana-diver-showboy, events and stats have proven it, but if this piece of unbalanced news will give someone an ooorgasm that they crave for since time immemorial, then let it be. On Messi we stand |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: FC Barcelona Fan Thread: "Més Que Un Club" by holydante(m): 3:50pm On Jan 03, 2011 |
Welcome aboard 2011 and happy new year to you wonderful fellars. May The Almighty prosper the works (both Christians and Muslims etc) of our hands and protect our families and grant us testimonies all through the year including our darling club. My idea of leaving my laptop in the office and going on vacation came to haunt me as my bb trackpad decided to fail scrolling ever since, I was only online and cld only observe but couldn't post but ve defeated the obstacle. I just can't fathom what beefers are doing on this thread when they have their teams to analyse and support, I wouldn't dignify them "shripms" and "younger" wannabes with response as one needs to allocate his time to critical and knowledge building dialouge. There is no law stopping anyone from joining any club in its glory days or dark days, I would be the last to start defending when I joined a club or not, its a non issue. Good analysis guys, any break in between an excellent team performance always does things to any teams rythm and we are no exception; I didn't expect a walk in the park over Levante either, however Thiago was quite a revelation and Pedro's influence is growing in leaps n bounds, Bojan's performance calls for concern but I believe others sterling performance and Peps confidence in him will rub off, he just had a contract extension and better days are ahead, this is just week 17, all that matters is that 3 point is in the kitty, let them madrid bois get theirs off their neigbhours this night let's see. A full house is expected for the midweek and weekend clash with the exception of Puyol, Messi's back from the hols and I enjoin all of us to watch the game @ San Mames against Bilbao on wed nyte, its gonna be an all out attacking party as its a must win for the lads, Once again happy new year to all and even the beefers too. Ole Barca, T'estimo Barca!!!! |
Politics / Re: Core North Deliberately Chose Tough And DIRTY Fighter by holydante(m): 7:45am On Jan 03, 2011 |
Whatever coloration you guys want to give mudslinging, the average discerning mind knows what these self serving folks from the north are up to, one begins to wonder the reason for the orgasmic urge by them to rule the country by all means? Most of them have lost out in the scheme of things since Obj was installed and Yardua was just in the process of "reactivating" them before he unfortunatley kicked the bucket. People seem to be myopic in this country in the way these aboki's are accomodated all the time, can we realistically tell ourselves that the north would have still been part of this contraption called nigeria if about 80% this country's mainstay is domiciled up there? The time is apt for a soverign confrence otherwise this cycle of mediocrity, mutual suspision and conspiracy theories will forever bedevil this failed state. |

Merry Xmas @ Op, It seems you've got to clamp your feet down and define certain things in the relationship. Just like someone pointed out, if she's mature(300 level or not), d meat in her brain would have informed her that its just a matter of sacrifice and time and she can virtually have all she wants Beyounce style(you sound optimistic and promising abt ur career) She can have immediate value @ d expense of future security. This attitude is not just for those in school, by default I don't date school ladies, an MTN contract babe I got acquianted with recently asked for dough for brazilian hair too (am aware her monthly pay is abt N75k) I told her to use her money and that I'l reimburse her later, she didn't bring it up again. |
