Q: What is the new law for student visa in Finland?

A: The new law for student visa in Finland was proposed by the new government in June 2023. The law would make it more difficult for international students to stay in Finland after graduation.

Q: What are the key changes to the new law?

A: The key changes to the new law include:

Students would only be able to stay in Finland for one year

after graduation to look for a job.

The language proficiency requirement for permanent

residence would be increased. Students would be limited to working 25 hours per week while studying. Q: How would the new law affect international students?

A: The new law would make it more difficult for international students to stay in Finland after graduation. This could make it more difficult for students to find a job in Finland and settle into their new life in the country.

Q: What can international students do to learn more about the new law?

A: International students can contact their local immigration office or a lawyer to learn more about the new law. They can also contact their student union or university for support.

Q: What are the next steps for the new law?

A: The new law is still in the proposal stage. It is not yet clear whether the law will be passed by the Finnish parliament.

Yes they admit foreign students as long as you can speak Finnish language.

I started learning Finnish language using Duolingo but I understand that won't get to a B2 level.

There's this company that offers to teach Finnish language for 6000€ but that seems much for language learning.

Bottom line is I'm confused.

tensazangetsu20:

Where would you learn Finnish In Nigeria to B2 level and how do you intend to proof proficiency. Also, do these vocational schools admit foreigners
Programming / Re: Alx Or Uk by homotayo11(m): 7:12pm On Jun 21, 2023
Do you consider vocational school as a good route to migrate to Finland? I'm thinking of learning the language then, apply to vocational schools since their tution is free. Hopefully I get to switch from study visa to work visa after a year.

SonyaSpence:

Finland admission window will open shortly in september. If you don't have Ielts already try to get IELTS ready before then (if you want to study Masters). You don't need IELTS if you're seeking Bachelors degree, your WAEC should suffice for that.

Greetings everyone.
Please when is the next academic session in Finland starting and when can I start applying.
I will also be happy if someone can give me an insight on how much I should be budgeting for this.

There is a window opening in September but you'll need your transcript and IELTS to apply for masters.
Travel / Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by homotayo11(m): 7:56am On Jun 09, 2023
Masters is expensive, Tempere university masters course on software engineering is €12k, I read vocational is free as long you understand the language to an extent.

Outstandingmam:

With your IT knowledge, settling down would be easier for you even if you don't speak the language. Why not just apply for a masters? You might even get a job before you found up.

If you're married, your wife could apply and you go as her dependant. This will give you access to work 247 enabling you to get a full time role

I'm a frontend web developer and I already have my B.Tech in computer engineering but I'm looking for a cheaper way to migrate to Finland, do you think applying for vocational school will be okay for me, I will be applying for software development though.

Also is it possible I drop out after a year or two if I get a better job, most software jobs is about what you can do rather than your degree.

I understand I might have to learn their language first.

Outstandingmam:

All levels are competitive. Just select the one you think you'll be able to shine through.

Entrance exam follows the same format as our jamb. Tech, medical, science and engineering all require you to write science subject exams. Arts and social sciences will require their own subjects.

I don't know anything about their vocational programs
Travel / Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by homotayo11(m): 6:11am On May 24, 2023
Quick question: Will I be required to pay full tuition before I leave Nigeria? Or a certain percent, Also is it possible to study and be able to pay tuition of 10k yearly.

Outstandingmam:

Like they informed you above, you don't need IELTS or any letter since you're applying for BSC. For age, I know a 50year old man doing BSC in Finland. He's in his final year now.

If you're single, you don't need legalization so your expenses will be limited to permit application which is around 350 Euro (about N175k) plus service charge of N37,500 and postage fee of 10.5 Euro I think

Your school fees will depend on the school you're going to and airfare of course depends on the airline that'll fly you there when you succeed

The truth is that mourinho is still a good coach. Apart from de gea this team is so average. When mourinho was mourinho, lukaku won't make his team talk less of starting. Remember Chelsea days? See mata that was not in his team in Chelsea is now in his team here.

If I was mourinho I will first make everybody play their normal position. Even if I was to make a player play another position it will just be once or twice. Just take a look at Man Utd. Young that is a winger plays RB or LB. Martial and rashford that are CF play Winger.

Abeg who bought Lukaku. Who bought Sanchez that earns 450k
Who bought Bailey who bought pogba, dalot, Fred, lindelof,. Who retained fellani, shaw. Who brought Mc Tom

So you are say you will first all every body to play normal position.. What is normal position.. He has been in charge for 3yrs.. And you saying this shit. Note players can be converted.

You people are so evasive and slippery...it's difficult to pin you down on any issue! See you asking what RESTRUCTURING is as if you don't know! You pretend not to know because you know a RESTRUCTURED Nigeria would remove the stranglehold you have on Nigeria; would make politics and governance at the centre less attractive; and would allow regions/states to have control of their resources and destiny and progress at their own pace...thereby leaving you lot behind if you don't pull your socks up!

RESTRRUCTURING Nigeria simply means returning to the status quo pre-1966....with a few adjustments given present day realities! Simple!

Truth be told. I don't support restructuring. I want us to split. Cause after restructuring another crisis will arise.
Then people Will start clamoring for Nigeria to split. That so called northern Nigeria is slowing our development. They believe presidency belongs to em

A typical Nigerian citizen with no direction for the future, how disappointing. Out of all the Northern mofos parading themselves as presidential candidate including the incumbent president, the only person in my opinion with credibility so far is Makarfi and let his activities and body language the past 3 years speak for this man. Nigerians must give this man a chance to change the direction of things as it were. This status quo must change for at list one term to redirect the nation for growth and development.

All these politicians are the same. You just trying to find good from what is already bad.. What are his achievements. All these politicians are for themselves (personal interest).

now i can confirm that ur more than ignorant

regional government that was operated in 1963 is the same as restructuring that we are asking for,, but with slight modifications.

Back then, the regions were very powerful...............they control most items that the fed. Government does today like police, revenues,, land etc

the modifications now is that states will replace the regions

Like I said it's just your own opinion.
Restructuring means different things to different people.

Just because your own restructuring means regional government does not mean other people will follow your idea. Some people would say the power at the center is too much which I also agree. Some would say resource control..some would say state policing is the solution. While some would just say CONSTITUTION REVIEW bluntly.. Without saying what part..And resource control is different from regional government.

I think everybody within the political arena knows exactly what restructuring means but there are many that wish to appear ignorant long enough for the issue conversation to be swept under the carpet. But unfortunately for these people Nigeria is retrogressing at an alarming rate so the conversation can only get louder

Some say back to regional government
Some say resource control
Some say review of constitution.

Don't quote me saying all these can't happen without review of the constitution cause I already know that.

But some would just say review.. Without saying the parts to be reviewed.
