ow11:I never said there are no homeless kids in Nigeria or where did i say that? Have you seen minors being stabbed to death before in Nigeria? if yes, what's the number? how many did you see within a year? Yes, kids fight and all that, but you hardly see kids of 15/16yrs in Nigeria walking about (gang-style) with knifes/guns in their possession, i repeat YOU HARDLY SEE THAT except you want to cook us some stories just because you want to win a "case" So in your mind, i never attended secondary school abi? in your mind, i never went to school? well, i am still a young man and i finished my secondary school education in the early 2000s and yes students fight and all that, students go to other schools to fight, but very rare to hear that they stabbed each-other to death. Please always put into consideration the age range (15/16), if you talk about the older ones in the universities, yes I'd agree they get to stab/kill each-other sometimes, but to say teenage-gang is prominent in Nigeria secondary schools (public), that's untrue, except you can back it up with evidence/facts. A murder in the 90s? a murder in the whole of 90s? and you want to use that to compare what's going on in London alone? did you see the number of kids killed in London within one year? like i said, i used the word "rarely" which means it's very rare that 15/16yrs old stab/kill each-other in Nigeria or even own a GUN. lastly, like i said, yes we have alot of homeless kids who ran away from home (especially in Lagos) some of them came as far as neighboring states because they believe money is free in Lagos, but these kids hardly commit bloody crimes (they can as well become pickpockets, carrier, wheelbarrow pushers, beggars and all that), but you can hardly hear of a 15/16yrs old going into armed robbery or stabbing his mates to death. Do you visit motor parks at 5:30am? are you a driver? and just because they are outside about that time does not still confirm that they stab/kill each-other, let's not deviate from the points here, the point is that it's very rare to see kids of 15/16 stabbing/shooting each-other in Nigeria and it's also very rare to see kids (within 15/16yrs who has parents) outside their homes between 11pm-5am. Most of the deaths so far reported in the UK are not of homeless kids, rather they all have parents, so why bring up the homeless stats here? the difference between the homeless in the UK and here is that the former have programs for homeless kids, they pick them off the street to avoid them causing more havoc, while the latter lacks that, these homeless kids end up becoming the nuisance of the society when they finally grow up to an adult age. one more thing, you are not making sense with the poorest thing you are bringing up, being poor is not a visa to being a murderer/killer, if it is, then virtually most Nigerian kid would have been an ex-murderer/killer or most would have died from attacks from others. One more thing, the killing/stabbing in the UK is not just an area, it's spread across UK, before you argue further, just click on some of the links posted on this thread to enlighten yourself, stop thinking others do not know what they are talking about when it happens that you are the one who actually doesn't have an idea. Good night. |

how then do they wait all the long period before other European league closes? |
^^^^^^ These names you just named weren't stabbing/shooting people at 16, they could have gone worse within months/few years, unlike these ones who have started using guns/knife at this age of their life, what is likely to become of them if they get to Anini and the names you listed's age range? Btw: except a child without parents, it's very rare to find a child of 15/16 outside in Nigeria around 11pm, not because it's not safe for them, but because their parents can't go to bed without making sure the kids are all inside. |
Idowuogbo:When it comes to teenage mother, teenage deaths/ knifes and all that, UK ranks top ( google it), so you see why i still do not see UK as the right place to raise kids especially if the parents are the busy type? Akwa Ibom minor gangs? and how many deaths you don hear? have you been there before? can you name the gangs you have seen there? and how did you know they are 15/16? have you visited sierra lone before? why use sierra lone that is just fighting for stability after the war as an example? |
ezeagu:By quoting me, you're trying to say ![]() |
^^^^^ Gang or no gang, still didn't erase the fact that it's not really a place to bring up a child, parents doing more than 2 jobs just to survive, kids roaming about doing whatever they feel is right to them, what do you expect? 15/16yrs old joining gangs? gosh!!! well i am yet to hear or see anywhere in Nigeria where 15/16yrs old belong to gangs. |

tashanja:Are you sick in the head or where exactly? (a question), i just asked a question which I'm yet to get an answer on, what are the major contributions of the northern states to the Nigerian economy, tired of seeing the useless stats on some of our unproductive websites, in true life, we all know Agriculture is like a dead lion being paraded in a falsely way to deceive some of us into thinking Agriculture is actually progressing in Nigeria. We import almost all the major food we eat in Nigeria (not talking of pepper/onions here), so where did the 41% crop out from? we all know what happened to Nigeria when oil price fell from $141 to $62. |
JOKE OF THE CENTURY ![]() Pillars to Sign Arsenal’s Walcott October 24, 2010 No Comments Pillars FC will sign Arsenal Striker Theo Walcott on a 1 year loan deal. The 21-year-old, whose admirable attitude motivated by his World Cup omission last summer, has played in the Premier League and Champions League. It was his selection for Germany 2006 that catapulted Theo into the limelight. Since then, his quick feet have slowly built his reputation as a top-level performer. And he has chosen some big Champions League games in which he displayed his finest work – Barcelona 2010 and Liverpool 2008. Pillars boss Babangida told the club website: “It’s fantastic that Arsenal have allowed such a talented young player to come out who has played more than 70 first-team games.” |

^^^^^ These simple acts should have made you know that both countries were hostile to eachother and knew they weren't friends. These i have tried to push into your brains that America in the first place actually dedicated pearl Harbor for their Asia threat which happened to be Japan at that time, you just wouldn't see that, will you? Why did Japan attack just the Harbor and not mainland or other parts of the US? it's late in the night, i can't continue with you, just stick to your part of the story while i stick to mine, don't call mine wrong because they are different from yours, i got my info from my own source which i provided part of them to you. anyways good day/night. |
A statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mr. Hakeem Bello, said the MoU was signed at the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Alausa, on Thursday. The Lagos State Government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the setting up of a Greefield refinery and hydrocarbon industrial park to be located at the Lekki Energy City within the Lekki Free Zone. The statement quoted the NNPC Group General Manager, Greenfield Refineries, Mr. Adebayo Ibirogba, describ the occasion as a defining moment in the history of business partnerships in Nigeria. He said, ”By this MoU, NNPC and Lagos State Government have agreed to co-promote and co-invest in a greenfield refinery and hydrocarbon industrial park at the Lekki Energy City within the Lekki Free Zone.” Ibirogba further described the transaction as a momentous ”land for equity” commercial transaction and a shared risk investment, which envisaged an investment package worth $25bn spread on 1500 hectares of land in the Energy City. He also disclosed that the project would be implemented in four tranches over the next 10 years, commencing from next year. In her remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Olushola Oworu, said the planned development of the Lekki corridor by the state government under an integrated plan would include the deep sea port, proposed city airport as well as the greenfield refinery to be developed jointly with the NNPC and other private sector partners. According to her, the LFZ will comprise the oil and gas zone, the manufacturing zone and tourism zone, which will have first class hotel and recreational facilities. Oworu ”It is a multifaceted development of Lagos State we are aiming at. We also hope that with this joint venture, we will be able to create employment for our people, we will be able to bridge the gap between demand and supply of petroleum products in Nigeria and we will be able to eliminate importation of petroleum products in no distant future.” Investment in the greenfield refinery and industrial park will include a 200 to 300KBPD refinery, an 800 Megawatt power plant, a three million metric tonne per annum fertiliser plant, as well as a 500 metric tonne per annum petrochemical complex, the statement. It also said all investments would be structured on mutually beneficial and commercial terms amongst the parties to the agreement and anchored on consumer market demand driven by commercial viability. ”With South-West Nigeria accounting for over 40 per cent of national consumption of gasoline in Nigeria, location of a refinery within the nation‘s commercial nerve centre by the Lagos State Government and the NNPC is an expression of genuine commitment to meet the energy needs of not only the city but that of the South West region at large,” the statement said. culled from punchng.com

violent:Hehehehe, see analogy, that's what you were able to deduct from the whole article? holy moly mother of zeus ![]() Pearl Harbor was specially set up facing Asia, were you expecting America to announce to the whole world why pearl harbor was set up in a strategic place adjacent to Asia? if you read through some of the links (that's if you even read any), you'd read where the "camp" was setup to influence the rifts between Japan and the rest of Asia, it was to aide those who America supported at that time which was a security threat to Japan (you won't understand what military intelligence is all about). Why did Japan blow only the harbor and not the mainland US? why only pearl harbor and not other camps? have you bothered to ask yourself? like i said, i don't want to bother disturbing myself trying to explain things to you since you are so bias towards America, just do the research yourself with a "NEUTRAL" mind. The attack was intended as a preventive action in order to keep the U.S. Pacific Fleet from influencing the war that the Empire of Japan was planning in Southeast Asia, against Britain and the Netherlands, as well as the U.S. in the Philippines. The base was attacked by Japanese aircraft (a total of 353, in two waves) launched from six aircraft carriers.[7] Four U.S. Navy battleships were sunk (two of which were raised and returned to service later in the war) and all of the four other battleships present were damaged. The Japanese also sank or damaged three cruisers, three destroyers, an anti-aircraft training ship[8] and one minelayer. 188 U.S. aircraft were destroyed, 2,402 personnel were killed[9] and 1,282 were wounded. The power station, shipyard, maintenance, and fuel and torpedo storage facilities, as well as the submarine piers and headquarters building (also home of the intelligence section) were not attacked. |
