Dis Guy:
thats because everyone has their season, there's hardly anyone good around nowadays so these guys can take their shine, Nikolai Valuez wasn't exactly a fine boxer but he got a belt

don't believe the ranking some many duds peter fought to get here and with some good money you can always gather some guys to climb to the top wink
They all deserve every winnings they got, you are as good as the opponent you beat, so bro it doesn't matter if the opponents weren't that good.

Until we see someone who can beat the Klitschkos, they remain the best for now, you can't take that away from them.

Dis Guy:
its not negative 'sentiments' its what it is, he is not a fine boxer to begin with secondly he is fighting someone who isnt exactly good but taller and more assured if himself!

peter is just swinging and it might work if he's not too predictable, he looks a bit fitter though from the last fight no more wobbly wobble
He's not a fine boxer, yet he's ranked this high? he has only lost 3 out his matches so far, and even Wladimir has also lost 3 fights, so what are you talking about?

If Wladimir isn't a good boxer, why hasn't anyone beat him yet? he has 3 world titles to his names and no one has yet to beat him to stripe him of these titles.

Both of them are good, but Peter is kinda on a disadvantage right now for his slowness and also his "short" reach.
SportsRe: Wladimir Klitschko To Fight Nigeria's Samuel Peter by honeric01(mod): 10:37pm On Sep 11, 2010
Wetin you dey pity am for? win or lose, he gets millions of dollars, so it's a win win case to him

As for your bro who went to watch live, in every fight, there must always be a winner, so no need to pity your bro, he went there to watch a boxing fight and boxing is what he's watching.

SportsRe: Lulu, Others In Court On Corruption Charges! by honeric01(mod): 7:34pm On Sep 11, 2010
NFF corruption case adjourned

The corruption case brought against four former officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been adjourned until October 5.

Justice Donatus Okorowa of the Abuja Federal High Court also disclosed that his officials have begun a verification of the documents of sureties produced by the four defendants for bail.

Former NFF president Sani Lulu, Vice-president Amanze Uchegbulam, secretary-general, Bolaji Ojo-Oba and chairman of the NFF technical committee, Taiwo Ogunjobi, have been handed a 10-count charge for corruption.

The charges were brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the country’s anti-graft agency.

The charges against the officials include mismanaging a World Cup budget of 900 million naira (about 6 million US dollars) and paying out allowances to unauthorised officials totalling over 800,000 US dollars.

The officials will also answer to charges of incurring a fine for a last-minute change of a World Cup training base for the national team and forking out 400,000 US dollars to stage a friendly against Colombia in London before the World Cup.

Nigeria bowed out of the World Cup after the first round.

The officials were first quizzed by EFCC in July. They have been in detention since Monday.

Lulu, others stay in jail

Former NFF President Sani Lulu Abdullahi and his three associates will spend the holiday season in jail after failing to meet their bail conditions on deadline.

Bail for Lulu, Amanze Uchegbulam, Taiwo Ogunjobi and Bolaji Ojo-Oba was set at N100 million each by Justice David Okorowo, along with two sureties.

The conditions were expected to be met before close of work on Wednesday to allow the men spend the sallah holidays with their respective families.

But the men failed to meet the conditions before the close of business and will remain in custody.

The former football officials are facing trial on a 10-count charge of misappropriating a sizeable chunk of Nigeria's World Cup funds.

Heartland upbeat ahead of Ahly clash

Heartland players are confident of a good result against Al Ahly this weekend as Samson Siasia spent his first session in Egypt in the gym.

Finalists in 2009 edition, Heartland arrived in Cairo on Thursday evening to a calm and cautious reception offered by the hosts but still very up-beat about their chances in the game.

The Nigerian side, third in the group with 4 points, can haul themselves back into contention with a win against the former champions in Sunday's game.

Media Officer Cajetan Nkwopara says it is 50-50.

"Although we trail Ahly by one point, there is still a fifty-fifty chance to progress in the competition.

"Any one of the contending three teams in Group B can still qualify alongside Algerian side, JS Kabylie who already top the group with 10 points but that will depend so much on the result of Sunday's game," he said.

The CAF Champions League Group B, second leg game will come up by 18h00 Nigerian time at the Cairo International Stadium.

Does it occur to you sometimes to realize that rigorous means of schooling from kindergarten to secondary grades even university are provided on government scholarship by the countries in Europe, North America and Asia? In Nigeria, most parents of these kids can not afford elementary school grade fees and Nigerian government does not give a hoot.
