My car often indicate on the dashboard that I fill-in water coolant. it gets frequent that I normally put just water to save cost. All this happened when I noticed a very little leak at the top of the radiator. A mechanic had to loosen the whole radiator and applied strong adhesive glue at the little leak. There isn't any leak now, how come it frequently requires coolant/water ? I need an advice on what to do. its a Mercedes car E-Class.

on the thermostat issue... . I just removed the thermostat on my sienna 2002. The fan now comes up immediately I put on the engine.. because It only comes up only when I put the AC... I hope no problem.. make una help me oooo

My car started over heating since I change the compressor and condenser. Once I turn d AC on it's start over heating. Please what can be d problem.

However, another ABS code has re-surfaced. It is ABS code 35. In my lame mind, I think it is still connected to the earlier fault code.

I will like to book an appointment and bring it to your workshop.

I can't raise beyond 80,when it goes beyond 100 it jecks...I check my gauges regularly even while driving....I don't think it might be the sensor

I tried reversing and going forward it won't..just on a stand still....den I tried to accelerate while on neutral to help check both gears but same problem.

I owned a Nissan altima 2008 ride 2.5s....I have been using it for almost a year now,yesterday after church while driving home I noticed the car was jerking while on motion and like 5 mins later the car stopped accelerating and was still on,cudnt reverse cudnt go forward yet was still on, so I had to push to neutral and beg some guys to help me push to a corner were I packed.some say its a rewire thing while others say its mechanical......pls I need ur experience thanks.

it's very good. I've been using it, though the last time I needed it to service my car I didn't​ find it here in Port Harcourt so I had to go for Toyota oil (5w30)

Hello gurus in the house please come to my aid. My car consumption fuel rate was very high and the check light came up. I got it scanned p240 code came up. My mechanic checked and noted that the cat converter was off and needs a replacement (Gazzuzz also insisted on a replacement). I got it replaced hoping the fuel consumption rate will reduce but its still high. 3 days after I got the cat converter replaced I got a check light of which when my mechanic scanned it, i got a P2423 code. He notified that the sensor (a black cable with three wire running from the cat converter to the)needs to be replaced.
My worries now is that will that reduce the fuel consumption rate??

Please gurus in the house, come to my aid

I have my engine check light on, so I went for a scan, the result was P0420...
The engineer says he will clear the error P0420 which he did & the light was off...
Now, should I be worry on fixing the error by replacing the part or I should keep enjoying my car, thanks

ok my Lexus RX 350 2008 for body works and painting, on return to me, i discovered that the AFS Light is showing on the dash board as off, unlMy Headlamp moves visibly when i turn the steering but not so again since it is off.

I need someone who is experienced to look at it and help fix it, i have cheked the button but still same.

temperature is okay ... thats if it's still morning, and u haven't started the car for long
fuel to air ratio is good.

I tried to test my nissan primera 2002 on ikorodu road to ikeja yesterday and discovered that i could not do more than 40km/hr even when the road was free, other motorists were just passing by fast and i had to shamefullly move to the service lane, pls what can be the problem as i have changed the plugs and just serviced with 5w 30 (mobil 1) oil

I was driving all the way from Lekki to my house @yaba with wife and kids when my car brake start galloping on surulere bridge, so i forcefully match the brake till it eventually stopped.
i immediately opened the bonnet and realize it was overheating, so i waited for it to cool and put in water after about 20mins.
After this, it refuse to start and the fan was rolling.

We were still there around 10pm, then a govt towing truck parked by and offered to tow my vehicle to my house but with 10k and i asked why, shebi it was supposed to be free towing vehicle for public help. so i just had to let him go and left the vehicle at one car-selling point and gave the security 1k.

Now mechanic has been on my car since lastweek friday and his effort is proofing abortive, this is my mechanic which i use all the time.
First day, he said it was the gasket which i had to give him 25k & to do change of engine oil at the same time. but the car still didn't start.
second day, he said he will have to hire a re-wire to come work on it and i gave him 5k again for that. still the car refuse to start.
Fourth day(monday), he said he will have to change the brain box and this cost 20k. at this point i said he should try the brain box first and if it works then i will pay the 20k.
Fifth day which was yesterday, he told the seller to bring the brain-box and once it works, we will pay him the 20k.
Today, they're still on the car and it still not working as at the last time he called me.
Now, he said the new rewire and himself are working on the car presently.

Please intelligent people in the house, what can i do. i'm tired.
This is the first time this car will be given me issue since i've been using it.
please help me o.

Nairalanders please come to my help. My Toyota Rav 4 2007 model had alternator issue days ago, which required I take it for repair. When it was time to fix it back, the guy fixing it made a mistake in the wires connecting the alternator's socket. The battery charges again but would drain after parking it for some minutes. When I took it to an electrician (rewire) he complained about the spark on the battery saying it was too much. He tried checking the cause of the battery drain by checking all the fuses in the car with no solution. When it was getting to night time yesterday, he asked me to go with the car and return today. We managed start the car and on my way going back home, the car went off on the motion. I tried starting it; it cranked but not coming up till my battery drained off again. I looked for another electrician this morning to help look into the situation. The guy checked the plug, fuel supply and other things that might make it start. Later on he discovered that the CHECK ENGINE light, which should come up with other lights on the dashboard when the ignition is turned on does not show. He then concluded that the brain box is bad. According to him, if the check light engine does not show with other lights on the dashboard when the ignition is turned on, the car cannot start. He already removed the brain box but I am finding it difficult to believe it is the culprit.

Any one with an idea of what could be wrong with my car?

You can have expensive tools and diagnostic machines and still mess things up. Understanding how systems work from first principles is the most invaluable tool any technician can ever own. In fact a 5 dollar 'Chinese' scanner will give me the same result you are explaining here: It will simply not power up!
