Dear Car Gurus, Kindly help out.

My car has a high rpm but low speed like 4000rpm at 40km/hr.

Also,when i step on the brake,i hear kind of noise -pissss like a leaking pipe at the passenger side of the tire and also under my feet but the brake seems to catch though.

I just change the fuel pump and i started noticing that the fuel guage fluntuates. i bought 3k fuel to top up at quarter tank this morning to covered a trip of 30km and it is back at even below quarter tank now.all btw the trip,the guage was flunctuating.

The car drags alot even to climb hill now na wahala.

help a brother pls. Thanks

I noticed that the coolant overflows from the coolant reservoir, I saw the mark on the container. Should I be worried , could be a case of system overfill or a more serious underlying issue.

Yes we cleared the codes and rescanned.

Yes the car started smoking before behaving erratically.

No I haven't noticed any drop in engine oil level.

Hello Gurus in the house.
My boss have the practice of removing thermostat from customers cars to solve over heating problem when other things like water pump, radiator and head gasket are in good shape. it has been working for him so far but I know it is a bad practice and wouldn't want to learn that from him.

So what are the consequences of removing a thermostat? and like how much does it cost to replace one?

Please advice me, l have a 1999 Toyota Camry (Pencil Light) that the automatic gear does not select to a higher gear while in motion. Trying to accelerate the car, the speedometer needle will be slow but the RPM needle will shoot up immediately thereby making a huge uncomfortable noise. The gear oil level is on gauge and still the noise is still be persistent. Please what can be the cause and how can it be resolved?

My MB E240 is giving me the following malfunction signals: ABS, ESP, Engine oil sensor, Brake Assist, Engine fan. I am confused who to contact, mechanic or electrician. I just recently changed all the tyres, brake pads, brake oil, front linkage, the battery and the Engine oil.

I have discovered that most people seek advice but do not adhere to such advise. They are quick to abandon the same advise they sought. I wonder why coming to ask for help only to do exact same thing you are cautioned against.

A friend's thermostat was yanked off by the car killing mechanics (kazeem) and he asked me what I think he should do. I told him to replace thermostat with exact same specs & run coolant but he didn't listen; now top gasket is blown & he still needs my advise...SMH.

I recently changed the gear oil in my Honda accord 05 with pertamina ATF when I couldn't
lay my hands on the honda ATF DW1. Does anyone have any experience with this ATF ?

I use an acura mdx 2010 , each time I rev up (i.e push on the gas pedal) I hear this metallic grinding sound that looks to be coming from either the engine or mid section of the car.
whenever this happens, I would have to reduce my speed and the way I push on the gas pedal then the metallic grinding sound disappears.
I also have cylinder misfire codes P0301/302/303/304 and check emission system active.
