yuzedo:yuzedo your mouth no pure o! E be like say the thing go cry come your house this night |
Screwface: Ehen!?Na so school dey be na. |
masterpiecer: And what does dis have to do with politics?couldn't figure out where post fit, was hoping the mods will help put it where it belongs. |
Experienced the most horrifying morning of my life today. At about 4:30am my girlfriend woke me up to listen to cries I've only ever heard about in myths, the dreaded bush baby. There were about two of them, I could tell from their screams, while one was howling like a baby, the other was sort of growling. I no go lie the fear wey grip me no be small, there was no light and the room was pitch black, so my eyes decided it was the best time to play tricks, during the period, my heart broke all of bolt's records. So just wondering if any Nlander has experienced such, if you were in my shoes will curiousity push you to try and look outside the window? |
Why are some nairalanders so prejudiced and myopic in thinking? When wole soyinka was chosen by militants to represent their talks with Government did we call him a militant leader? |
Gabbysky: For me I say a complete ban on them jare... one of these idi.otic devils killed my dad somesorry about your loss, but that Dana crashed doesn't equal a total ban on aircrafts. If you lose a loved one to water you cannot quarrel water beyond 24 hours, you must still drink water. I suppose øû get my drift |
afam4eva: Why mjust the VCs be close to the students? Don't they have HODs and professors. Do they want to kidnap the VC? If you don't want to learn then get out and start learning mechanic or conductor. No be by force to go school.dude foolishness is a bad thing. You don't have to wear it like a placard |
These pictures do not even do aba justice. I've been to aba once, about two years ago on my way back from obudu, honestly I couldn't help but wonder how the inhabitants could bare living among filth. But truth be told all the tribal bashers should shove it, lots of streets in lagos look like the picture above examples abound in aguda, coker, itire, ikate, ijesha. And when it rains heavy in lagos even posh streets look worse than the picture above. I really do not blame the government for the state of Aba's environment, people have the civic responsibility of keeping their environments neat and they have woefully failed to live up to that obligation. It is not in everything we will keep screaming "government" |
victorian: Its not easy climbing most of those bridges oooo... I nearly had a massive heart attack the day i tried it..the design of the bridges is not friendly at all, only very few, one can easily climb and drop from it... i dread the bridge like plague. I will rather take a bus going to the other side of the road... and if am down with migraine or bodypains , i simply take a cab.. my heart nearly burstI guess you are over weight |
otokx: if any of you has experienced the type of robbery that happens in ALUU they say, nobody will tell you to wonder and the worse part is that they were blaming it on the community youths which seems not to be the case now.Dude it doesn't mean aluu hasn't contributed their fair share of robbers. About a month ago my coursemate was robbed and witnessed a rape was even asked to join in, from their words he knew they were alakahia indigenes. Last october, my uncle was kidnapped and killed in owerri, but there was onething my dad said, "even if you show me his killers today I can't bring myself to kill them" the police eventually caught them and during my uncles burial we still prayed that God will show them the way to salvation. I remember once when I came down from the bus at sanya, some dude approached me and claimed I stole his phone in the bus (he wasn't even in my frigging bus) and the touts over there started harassing me, I almost stripped myself just to show my innocence, imagine if they had started calling me ole and then some heartless bastards will beat me to a pulp and burn me for nothing ( e no dey hard for Lagos). What this boys did was definitely wrong, but two wrongs don't make a right. I do not support mob violence, and the deaths of these boys will stand on the head of everyone who partook in their murder |
From my stay in uniport, I realise that most of my course mates fail exams not because they are not smart, but because they do not fully understand the language of learning. There is no way a nigerian in nigeria will ever attain native speaker competence of English language. Talk less of French, which we were forced to learn For nothing, because as it stands now all the french I learnt in my pretertiary years has gone with the winds. Now you want to force Chinese(Mandarin/ Cantonese) on innocent kids, and after you wonder why the rate of failure in waec is high. Do you think if India, china, honkkong e.t.c had made their language(s) subservient to English, they would be as technologically developed as they are today. #usefthinkam |
dubezj: @desh, my broda i dey here o. The wounds are healing, Things has slowly returned to where we had it. The tears has been shed and the I'm sorry's are in place (Although, my inquisition is in high gears to accertain weather the congo was shined or not as claimed). Hopefully, it will be well.Dude never trust a womans tears. They have no big deal using a lie to protect their interest and even when they are caught, if a new lease of lie presents it self they would gladly take it and play us a fool. I have learnt the hard way, a lesson I wouldn't even wish on my enemies |
phunmy dahdah: Hi dear I tot ny story was worse though it luks similar wit urs but wit slight difference, dis is d height,I didn't knw ladies do this too I tot it was only guys it really bad. Pls accept d chalenge and. Luk towards a beta future wit a partner that wuld sincerely love u for wu u rThanka , hope you find that person too. Better to learn from these sort of thing and avoid the same errors in a life long commitment |
tashanja: OP: Sorry about your experience and most of all the loss of your aunt. Also happy you chose to move on, its probably your best option eventually.I'm a very emotional person, I would make a bad poker player. I don't know how to pretend. Never works for me. If the dude feels he was smart then he only out smarted himself. Now I know I'm better of without her. Continuing anything sexu.all with her only places my life at a higher risk. |
Ivynwa: Hoodboy, didn't I tell you (when you had a thread about her before) to concentrate on your studies and run away from that love triangle?NNE you did o! But then the love was so strong, this was someone I dated for two years |
Smuthx: Hope the clothes and the properties you are burning are yours or the ones both of you own. If you are burning her personnal things, then its not okJust the ones I bought, I've long returned her stuff |
Funny enough, this morning the dude comes over to solicit for the rest of the stuff I didn't burn. How can a nigga stoop so low. Why can he man up and promise her new stuff as per he is he bf now, he should be glad I did what I did. Instead he is saying that she says I took the best of her ish, and the ones I have already buurnt should be revenge enough. Thats just so lame, they really make a great pair. |
obowunmi: Good to move on - figure out what you need to do so that you do not continue to attract the same type of girl.Appreciate ur advice. I have two months till I graduate so I'm gonna drag along. No time for drama, I never finish my chapter two |
Smuthx: why are you cohabiting. its wrong. should have put a ring on her finger b4 all these wahala happen. could have been betterShe wouldn't have it any other way. P.S I'm double distraught, my loving aunt didn't make it through the day |
Don't feel satisfied |
I think I would try to sleep now. Please say a prayer for my aunt, went unconscious today and is yet to regain her consciousness. I love her loads And don't want her to die |
Some time this year i made a post about my trying relationship. well she purportedly came back, but ever since it has been from suspicion to suspicion because of her funny moves which suggested she was still seeing the guy she supposedly left to come back to me after our initial breakup. https://www.nairaland.com/1010320/lies-deceit-threats-break-up-complicated Apparently my suspicions were valid as the dude came over to my room to spill the bean. she had been promising him she would dump me for him but when he noticed she was just playing us both, he decided to come over and tell everything that had been happening all the while. For him this was the only way to get her out of his system and also making the ground uncomfortable for her to try to see him again. He told me of all their sexual dalliances and how they just stopped short of straffing in my room at the final minute of common sense. and truth be told his intel was correct. there was a time she was told me was going over to her sister's place in town, but ended upin his house for one whole week, even though i knew she wasnt in town and i accused her of being with him, she piously kept to her lies, but the truth has eventually come out. the dude was all fuming, claiming i should keep her away from his sight or else he would hurt her bad... he even used my phone cause i gave him to check something else to text her some insults "old cargo" etc. he told me of how she clainmed that all she was doing with me was to mess me up emotionally as a vengance for all the perceived wrongs i had done her. Anyways she apparently knew her game was up and called me to say i should just pack up her stuff in my room that she was gonna come pick it up once she came back from town. well while contemplating the whole ish, i got angry and decided to set fire to my tears. every thing she has gotten for me, and everything i had bought for her tha was within my reach, i set ablaze and sent her the pictures. But she come back from town, goes to meet the dude, apologises anfd in her words "well i'm done with you and now with him". i say fuc.k her because i know she aint worth my tears, and they both deserve each other. not like i'm perfect or anything, but I dont think i can ever put anybody through what she made me see. to imagine that while i helped her with her reading during our last semester exam, when she had purportedly come back to me, she finished her exams one paper before me and while i was revising for my last paper, my "girlfriend" disappeared to spend the night with the dude only to appear the next day, how i managed to ace my last Exam is nothing short of miraculous. and i thank God i didnt pay academically for what she put me through which im am sure would have been to her greatest delight. Anyways they can both enjoy themselves, though it hurts, but finally i know i'm better off without a lying, conniving bitch that can kill a man just to have her selfish way. to think that she was bleeping under my nose and yet will be harassing me when i contact other girls. As for the dude, i really do not envy him being puss.y whipped is a curse.

NUC is getting it wrong on this one. Giving students the option of summer school to resit their failed courses is the best thing that could happen to Nigerian students. Imagine a not so bright student that has a couple of F's and you expect him to carry them over to a new semester, is it the same head that couldn't pass the courses when his course load was standard, that you expect to pass them when they are added to fresh courses. At least if there is summer, the student can fully concentrate and learn properly rather than resorting to any means available (sorting etal) just to be able to scale through |
Please post the link here na |
That's my department, and we have some pretty good lecturers. But they can so get on your nerves sometimes. |

funny how this thread is no longer on the front-page. didnt know it was actually possible to yank a page off the front page being that some tribally debased thread have been left to remain on front page despite how offensive a lot of nairalanders find such threads. |
Seun: @hoodboy: I apologize for acting in a way that can be construed as snobbish and disrespectful, but I can't keep up. I'm sorry.well I believe the whole essense of social media is the high level of interactivity and accessibility it offErs people. And communication is meant to be horizontal rather than the top-down. I'm not saying you should reply to every post directed at you, but when you start a communication cycle, ride it out to a plausible end. Cheers. |
