raumdeuter:I get am before no be property. Simple. When last did you actually look like winning the competition? Go and live with your James that you were wetting yourself over. After all Una don stylishly offload tomato Sanches, another dud. You Neva talk coefficient? |
raumdeuter:I get am before no be property. Next excuse oga. Since you insist on value for money why don't you start with the Rodriguez purchase. Or was is Rummenigge who bought that did for Ancelotti? When last did your team beat a Spanish side in the knockout phase of the Champions League? Even Girona will knock you out if you meet them in the competition.always there to make up the numbers like Arsenal. Even they self don tire and have decided to try something new this season. Ronaldo will always start his case to be WPOTY against your sorry side. Coefficient master. |
PietroRico:Na so long throat dey start. What happened to the Mullers, the Lahms that they always prided themselves that they produced? Are they suddenly tired of grooming home bred talents? What happened to poaching the best talent from that moribund and desolate league like Goetze, Lewandoski, Hummels?Did that approach suddenly turn stale? Maybe it did looking at how they signed an ineffectual luxury player for two years on loan even though he had did written all over him. So it's now fashionable to splash cash, since everyone else is doing it, not because it makes sense. I no fit laugh. Still waiting for coefficient to enter the argument. If all else fails, coefficient will fall on you. |
PietroRico:They pride themselves in their transfer activity. They brought in James Rodriguez who's ass is composed of 50% wooden splinters from sitting on the Real bench for nearly two years but sold Douglas Costa, keeping dead woods and expired man-hoods like Ribery and perpetual sick note Robben. Their claim to fame is competing every year since 2013 to get knocked out by a Spanish side. Fuji house of commotion no sabi work where Bayern dey |
^^^ Stylishly guiding the argument to coefficient again. Coefficient kings with no manager. |
Co-efficient champion is without a manager. |
Danhumprey:still wonder how Chelsea managed to deem him expendable. As much as he may not have been contributing as much as he could have been, I would have thought you kept him around just in case you needed him. He seems reborn at United. Hopefully he can galvanize the rest of the guys in the midfield to play better, as well as him add his fair share of long-range shots. |
afrodoc2:Matic is probably the signing of the season in my opinion. His play has galvanized the midfield thus far. I still think that while Ukaku deserves the plaudits for scoring, Matic is really the unsung hero in that side. |
Dantedasz:I understand you perfectly. It's quite easy to lose what the real essence of the team is especially now that things are going very well. The true test comes when we face the top sides, and though I may be quietly confident, there is a little anxiety because of a few noticeable lapses in the side thus far. I didn't say you were a deluded fan, I was only referring to the possibility that fans could tend to be deceived when the team is going on a winning run. Apparently United fans are the complex type, and I mean that respectfully, in all honesty. Please I am not attacking you in any way. I only want to plead with you to be more understanding with fellow fans who tend to criticize the club because I believe they do it out of genuine love for the team. Your points are well appreciated, sir. |
afrodoc2:I think the Matic-Herrera combo in the middle was the key to that. Plus the play of the wingbacks as well |
Dantedasz:I was referring to the fixtures after the international break. Whether we like it or not those ties will not be easy. It's just stating the obvious. No need to get carried away. So far we haven't really been tested by a top quality side. That is the obvious truth. The consolation is that we are scoring more against sides we would have been scraping victories or getting draws this time last season. Again I stress that there should be tolerance for divergent views. Everybody cannot agree with you all the time. Nobody who supports the club wants to see it fail hence the criticism. It is a sign that we don't have deluded fans though some of the criticism is a little far fetched. |
Stephengee, Accept my condolences. She's in a better place. |
joeace2020:Dude be hypocriting like it's going outta style. When they signed James Rodriguez on loan he was busy crowing how a great piece of business that was. Turns out the fella is a non-factor thus far. Mendy that his lord and savior Pep bought for $54 million is already out for at least 3 months but he is always quick to remind us that we bought no-testing in Hargreaves. Now all the Bundesliga teams managed one solitary goal between them this match day. Dude has conveniently gone quiet because no EPL side lost in the same match day. The guy is the modern day Pinocchio. His nose fell off long ago |
Celtic to take 4 points off Bayern. |
Dantedasz:Pls no need to spite anyone. Every one is entitled to their honest opinion. I believe as fans we can air whatever aggrieves us. To today's game, I'm not being carried away yet. Liverpool after the international break is a heavy acid test for us. Right now we are cruising and it is good to see performances of Martial Ukaku being consistently top notch. Matic still remains the key player for me. A lot of folks need to step up(Lingard still doesn't cut it for me, Rashford is believing his hype too early, Mkhi needs to be more consistent and add more guile to his play, Mata needs to stamp his presence a lot more on games) Smooth sailing thus far. But turbulence ahead. Great game |
JayKayMaybachz:Uefa coefficient is his ready-made excuse All the German sides have been pathetic this season in the champions league. All three German sides lost this match day. But na to look coefficient and remind United fans how Bayern "ra.ped" United on away goals rule. |
Our "bag of beans" has plenty weevils inside. While their Barca-yoko upgrade red neck lizard is keeping the forte on lockdown. |
funlord:Epic! |
Fussbot:He's from Armenia, a former Soviet republic. If my knowledge serves me properly, those former Soviet Republic used Russian as an official language. either that or his language is similar to Russian. I think. |
funlord:Just to emphasize how unnecessary that argument is. We drew only ONE of those games. Maybe when we have 80% average possession they will be satisfied, just like the fellow who prefers an entertaining draw over a win like Saturday. |
funlord:You should have added the score-lines to those games. Then it would really be absurd |
dopeJemi:Are people still on this issue? United fans are some of the most complex people. In as much as I appreciate divergence of views, there should be balance in every argument. As it stands lots of folks have gone overboard. I just don't get this hysteria that has suddenly befallen this thread, especially since the game in question was nearly four days ago. I would have thought peeps would have gotten this whole fiasco out of their system. |
Megatrix:Stop trying too hard to sound intelligent, abeg. You are way out of your depth, pulling out irrelevant links. On the issue of disrespecting the flag, I think you don't even know what you are saying. Is Trump any more patriotic than the players? The same Trump who has abused Senator McCain,a war hero and veteran, saying he was no war-hero for being caught in Vietnam, is now posturing and acting as if he cares for the flag when he has dodged the draft, but on numerous occasions disparaged the men and women, old and young, who fought for and defended the same flag? Or is it the same Trump who blasted the mother of a soldier who died in combat, who happened to be Muslim, that is suddenly a patriot that decides who is and isn't patriotic? Or are you now going to redefine patriotism for me according to Trump's view? Does Trump (and by extension, you) know the meaning of being patriotic? So again I ask the question, and you can stop beating around the bush, considering the First Amendment, how is kneeling during the anthem "unpatriotic", according to scholars like you? I brought up the "illegal" issue because burning the flag is the highest form of disrespect you can do to your country, but even their Supreme Court says it isn't illegal. So how then does Trump, who says Neo-Nazi protesters are "nice people", but calls black athletes "Sons of B*tches, qualify to define who is and who isn't patriotic, especially if the same "sons of b*tches are only protesting peacefully? Please sir, TELL ME HOW KNEELING DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM IS UNPATRIOTIC. Not your dimly-lit view based on your support for Trump. I doubt if you know what Colin Kaepernick, the originator of these protests said at the start of the protests last year. This is what he said" "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder". http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000691077/article/colin-kaepernick-explains-why-he-sat-during-national-anthem Unfortunately, people like you who give credence to the lunacy of Trump and his infantile tendencies will not see through the reason for his protest. Neo-Nazi protesters in Charlottesville chanted racist epitaphs under a Nazi flag, and Trump says they are "nice people" but a black athlete concerned about social inequalities is labeled a "son of a b*tch for expressing his views under a flag that is supposed to stand against these same injustices. Yet you have the temerity to try to differentiate between the illegality of an act and it's unpatriotic counterpart, as if both are mutually exclusive. Please if you don't have any factual response to give to my question, stop wasting my time. Donald Trump is the only one wasting meaningful time on an issue that really shouldn't be an issue. As for your claims, you make me laugh. ObamaCare has been sent back twice, and only yesterday, the Senate, apparently sensing another failure, refused to vote on it. If Trump had a viable equivalent of ObamaCare, he wouldn't be getting humiliated each time the matter is brought up. Yet you who knows what is going on cannot tell when Trump has not bothered to consult far and wide to get a better alternative than what is already on board, hence the rejection at the Senate by even some of his own party members. Yet this same fellow claims he is an expert at the art of negotiation but cannot get a deal to allow his version of the healthcare bill to pass in the Senate, after jerry-maundering and hot-air balloon comments. I'm not even going to talk on his other failures. Eight months into his tenure, he hasn't managed to get a single major bill passed by the house and or Senate. you are here talking about merry-go rounds and non-actions in the name of forming activity. I'm done with you. |
Megatrix:Lol. You said kneeling wasn't illegal. And I'm asking you how it is illegal. Abi no be you talk this one? Megatrix:Or has your reading and intuition taken a leave, just like Trump's? Were you diagnosed with Apollo as a foetus? If you don't have an answer, kindly own up and be quiet instead of trying to be smart. Still waiting for the highlighted, since you are good at spotting falsehood, when ironically you peddle them better than anyone. juist like you said stuff was being done on Obamacare repeal, Tax Reform, Immigration etc. |
Megatrix:Wow, hear yourself. Firstly, I don't like mixing words. If you know what the First Amendment says, you won't type the above. Kindly show us what makes the kneeling "unpatriotic"; if flag burning according to the US Supreme court is within the rights of a citizen; with relevant sections to back that lousy claim. I'm waiting for what qualifies kneeling down during the anthem, a legitimate peaceful protest, as unpatriotic. Especially if you understand what the original idea of the founding of America and how Mr. Trump calls right-wing activists "nice people" under the present socio-political climate As for the rest, I think it's safe to say Trump hasn't achieved anything tangible since assuming office: North Korea is escalating beyond control. He is engaging their leader in a face off that he appears to be losing. The Obama-care repeal is as good as DEAD since even members of his own party are disowning voting for it's repeal. Tax reform, please that one hasn't even gone anywhere. Yet you tell me he is doing something about it. Trump is busy whipping up twitter storms instead of being a leader when the situation demands. Spitting invectives instead of inspiring. His supporters will talk about the economy when it is only the boomerang effect of the Obama years. Even the lunatic in Pyongyang knows he is a hot air bag. |
cooltola:Even burning the flag is not an offense in itself over there in the US. It's only a misdemeanor. So says their supreme court. http://thelawdictionary.org/article/is-flag-burning-illegal/ Trump is as infantile and senile as they come. Looking for attention wherever he can garner it. As for the uninformed, leave them to still be that way. I'm glad there are people out there who can appreciate the subtle nuances of political issues. |
Obi1kenobi:That is the crux. The double standard exhibited by Trump makes you wonder how he got in as POTUS in the first place. Trump supporters over here who don't know the nuances of the political scene over there will rush to condemn the players without getting a factual base for their argument. |
diggz:How does one begin to answer an im.becile sef? Is it that one with his chewing stick grammar or his native doctor reasoning? Abeg, diggz, I know you are a very efficient mail deliverer, but this one should be delivered to the home of the mentally challenged and disabled. |
newsynews:Except that Trump goofed. The Supreme Court in the US has ruled that flag burning in itself is not illegal and is an affirmation of the first amendment (i.e. freedom of speech). So I don't get what Trump is saying when the height of disrespect to a nation would be burning of its flag. And if flag-burning isn't illegal, then kneeling down during the anthem isn't either. Trump need to get his act together and focus on more important things like the current standoff with North Korea, passing a repeal for Obamacare, getting tax reform done, which are issues mostly at the core of his electioneering campaign instead of beating about the bush and trying to score cheap political points. He has only succeeded in escalating an insignificant issue into prominence. His abrasive leadership style won't lead the US anywhere. |
diggz:Lol. Savages full that una side. I don't even go near that una thread again before someone unearths my ancestral lineage. |
dopeJemi:Make no mistake, the performance was poor. But it's not enough to justify the vitriol and venom being poured in here. Southampton have always troubled us, even when we were at the peak of our powers. A fact that we fans tend to (conveniently) forget. Even when we win, we always seem to be fortunate to beat them; case in point- the EFL cup at Wembley in February. Till tomorrow, I will be grateful to Jose for adapting when things weren't going smoothly for us to get us three points. That's how simple it has become for me. We were dire for parts of last season but not entirely. The only problem we had was our profligacy in front of goal. But people forget again, just to suit their argument. It' s ridiculous to come to the conclusion highlighted in the emboldened because there simply isn't enough proof for it. At the end of the day, football is a results oriented game. No one will remember how well you played 20 years from now, they will only be more likely to remember the scoreline, if they ever do. |
diggz:I dunno what peeps really want. It's sad that we can't even appreciate what we have right now. Jose has only shown us that he can grind a result when things don't go right as it happened Saturday. I'm not excusing the poor play, but when we criticize there has to be balance. Some of the people slagging the team have conveniently forgotten that this performance is coinciding with the much-maligned Pogba's absence. I'm just watching sha. Meanwhile how is the mail delivery business going? |
